Weight Loss Support - Gained this week- but looking at the big picture

I just needed to post today because I have been counting all calories, both eaten and burned, all week and should have lost 2 lbs in my weigh in today- However I actually gained a pound.

I started beating myself up but then I realized, it was an off week. I was super stressed and only got about 4 hours sleep on some nights- things which definitely impede weight loss. I realized I am bloated and probably need the fiber to kick in too :D Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to dodge responsibility, but I need to be kind to myself today so I don't get discouraged and give up!!

So, I am writing this day off and will do better at recording calories and reducing stress, and maybe challenge myself with my workouts this week!! Here's to a loss next week!!! :carrot:

Good for you! I have had a few "bad days" being down about not losing fast enough. I am a very very slow loser when it comes to weight loss but that is just me I guess..

anything can be the cause of 1 pound. sodium, water, etc. Don't beat yourself up over it.

Thank you so much, both of you. Right now I am HUNGRY, HUNGRY, HUNGRY!!! :D Not that funny but all I can do is laugh. I am going to take a harder look at what I'm eating tomorrow, hopefully with some tweaks I can eat better foods so I feel more full on the amount of calories I'm supposed to be eating.

omg, i totally get where you're coming from. this weekend was full of hanging out with friends, and I gained about 7 pounds! I'm trying to not beat myself up for it, and just start anew.. though like you said, it's not easy

I find if I beat myself up I am more likely to fall off the wagon.

Thanks for this. I will implement this positive attidue as well. I tend to beat myself up when I can. I have to stop that.
