Question Sorbitol on IP?

So i got yelled at today by my IP coach for my sugarfree gum. So i'm searching for other options. I found a brand of Mints, called Myntz. The sweetener used is sorbitol. Can we have that on IP???

I'm pretty sure the only IP approved mint or gum is SPRY. I find it at the Medicine Shoppe stores or order it online. It's a necessity for me.

Spry products use Xylitol, not Sorbital. Hope that helps.

Ask your coach about Xylitol... It's used in a few SF gums - most of Trident Sf gums have it...

Not all trident has sorbitol MOST has xylitol which is why the ADA has approved it as a gum to chew after meals. There are studies completed showing, clinically, the impact of xylitol on the formation of cavities. DO be careful reading the ingredients. Some of the trident uses both xylitol and other sugar alcohols like Maltotol and Maltodextrin. Both of those have the same glycemic load as table sugar and WILL pull you out of ketosis. ALSO, I have heard recommended that you should rinse the gum before chewing as it has a starch coating on it that may be a problem.
