Default 3 Favourites!

I am on Day 3 of phase 1 and it is going great! Planning is awesome.

I am going to cook 3 recipies this weekend to freeze for lunches and suppers.

I would love to know what your 3 favorite Phase one entrees are!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Karen

Taco Bake and Crack Slaw are my top two favs! I really like the P1 friendly breakfast casseroles from Kalyn's Kitchen website, but I wouldn't freeze them. I use egg beaters and throw in anything that I have on hand; usually misc veggies and LF turkey sausage. I absolutely love freezing soups especially the bean and lentil varieties.

Taco bake is on my list.. I have tried it before and have made it even when not on SBD..

I think the other two are going to be cabbage roll casserole and stuffed peppers.

Ate the Taco Bake tonight. I also love the crack slaw, stuffed peppers, deep dish spaghetti squash pie or just sauteed chicken breasts with lots of veggies (like chicken cacciatore) with NSA spaghetti sauce and a little cheese on top.

I love so many of the recipes in our recipes section that it's hard to narrow it down! But I think my top 3 favorites would be

Deep Dish Spaghetti Squash Pie
Butternut Squash Lasagna
Southwestern Spicy Beef Casserole w/Mock Cornbread

Taco bake freezes really well too! I have a few in my freezer right now for busy nights.

Spicy beef casserole with mock cornbread is a family favorite.

Crack slaw is one of my favorite things to do with leftover meat. It doesn't freeze well, though. You could cook and cut up the meat and freeze that, because the meal comes together in 10 minutes.

You're right! Butternut is Phase II. You can have spaghetti squash and summer squashes on Phase I.

Sorry, my mistake. When I was thinking of my favorite recipes, I got carried away and didn't realize you were asking for Phase 1 recipes.

I am new to the SB forum and looking for recipes. Those linked recipes look great! Copied and pasted and printed them out. Thank you so much. Definitely my kind of recipes.
