Part of having an eating disorder such as bulimia is having a distorted body image. Is there any way that you can take the Victoria Secret model down and put a pretty picture of yourself up? Your BMI is normal and I understand you wanting to lose some weight, but I think you need to be realistic about how good you probably look already.

I do support your goals in ending the binge/purge cycle and in losing weight (in a realistic fashion). I hope you are gentle on yourself.

I would suggest exercising and doing strength training. As your body gets fitter and stronger, I think you'll be happy with the results.

Good luck.

someone said on the boards recently (and if anyone knows who said that and where- i would love to thank them and save it because i can't articulate it as eloquently) that basically if you are going to agonize over food every day- either by overreating or by eating healthy and wanting to binge. you might as well choose the eating healthy route- you'll still be annoyed, but feel a little better. that actually gave me a very different perspective!
