French Toast w/ apples
exchanges: 1/2 protein, 1 starch, 1 fruit
1 egg
1 tbs milk
dash fake sugar
dash cinnamon
dash nutmeg
apple (sliced)
Saute apples in a pan sprayed with Pam until tender. (I usually add maybe a teaspoon of water and use a lid so they steam) Add some sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for flavor. Set aside.
Beat egg. Add milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and fake sugar to beaten egg. Add 1 slice of bread and let stand until most of the mixture is absorbed.
Brown in a pan sprayed with Pam.
Top with hot apples.
Note: If you want to use your fat, you can use margarine in the apples. It makes it a bit richer.
