Hi to anyone that happens to wander in here this weekend! I haven't had any time to post during the week, but I did want to drop by and catch up. Besides, what else could I do for a study break on a Friday night?! :yikes:

School is really good, but SO much work. I knew it would be, and reality has really set in. I have always liked studying and learning so that is not a problem for me. It's just that after work and class and studying I have zero time left for anything else, including the things I took for granted - like painting my nails, making a real dinner, watching tv, etc. :stress: Don't get me wrong though - I am so glad I am doing it and I am truly enjoying it; I am still just adjusting to the major impact it has had on my life. The good thing is that it has made me much more productive with my time at work (hence, not many posts from me) and has actually made me in a much better mood lately. I feel like I am accomplishing something, albeit slowly.

Other than that, nothing is going on with me. I am running Race for the Cure in 2 weeks so I have tried to run a few times a week to stay prepared for that. I have 3 days a week off of school, and have to force myself to work out on those 3 days. That is just not something I am willing to give up.

As for everyone else, let's see what I remember from having just read the posts....

Jayne - Congrats on the job!!
Deb - Hope your son is adjusting well to school. A good friend of mine has just decided to see someone about her food issues (overeating, etc.) Let me know if you decide to go that route. I am always interested to see what impact it would have... I'm sure it helps.
Jibbelle - Welcome!
Laura - Hope work isn't driving you too crazy. I know what that is like lately.

Tonya, Jen, Lisa, Jess, Kirsty (where are you?!), Lori, Kier, Ali, Kim, Belle, KT, Becky - a big Hi!! Hope you're all doing well.

The dog got me up at 6am to go out, and I could not go back to sleep! I had my alarm set for 7am anyway, so now I get a few Marcie minutes. I have weigh in at 8:30, then I have an appointment at 11am at the salon for a new haircut/style and maybe some highlights. That is always fun. :)

Jen-
What kind of degree are you working on? where are you going to school?

Time to jump in the shower...will post again after weigh in. Have a great weekend all!:twirly:

Hi Jen!
No further decision has been made on therapy & eating issues. But I think it's what I need to do. I have to go through the Insurance manual & get in touch w/ the company to find out what is covered & etc. But I will keep you updated.

Glad to hear you're happy w/ school! I should be in class right now. DOH!
 I'm going to get going in 5 min.
I know what you mean by missing the little luxuries ... wait until you have kids! Hahahah! Food shopping becomes your "escape" and is considered a "luxury".
Good luck w/ the race. I HAVE to get back into running. I'm becoming a fatty-boom-ba-latty. It's out of control.
Enjoy the weekend!

Marcie - I know what you mean by being up before you planned. I went to bed @ like 3:30 AM and was up @ 4:45 AM & then I don't remember when. UGH! I'm going to try to catch a cat nap sometime today before I have to drive back into work.
Hope you had a great weigh in!!!

Today I have to really control my eating & focus on water consumption. Water in = water out.

My black bean soup is done, and I snuck a bowl of it yesterday and I thought it was good. I'm wondering if I should puree 1/2 of it to give is a smooth texture? :?: Maybe.

Well, I'm late ... so I better get hustling!!!

Take care!

Hi Marcie! Glad to see I'm not all alone here.
I am in law school at Loyola University in Chicago. I also work full time (go to school at night and on Sat.) :hyper:
Good luck at weigh in and have fun getting your hair cut and highlighted. I love doing that!
Well, I'm off to class.

Have a good day! :flow1:

Good news and bad news. I lost 3 lbs during my first week! WOOHOO Bad news is Matt (the guy from the salon) called in sick and I had to reschedule for next Saturday. I have never had highlights and I was sooo excited. Now I am waiting another week. I did get a manicure yesterday though, so I guess that is enough pampering for one week. :smug:

JKarr-
I feel your pain! I work more than full time (~50-60 hr/wk) and go to school (MS program) so I understand how busy it is. I just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.

Well...off to do some housework and maybe catch a catnap.

Have any of you ever seen this: http://vmcdonnell.net/plats/wp.html

I found it very interesting...makes sense too!

take care all!
