Yeah, I'm trying to eat right. My problem isnt eating too much, its not eating enough. Ive been making flaxseed meal replacement shakes just to get my calorie count up! Its deff a challenge for me.
04-01-2010, 07:59 PM
You look amazing! Congrats!
04-01-2010, 08:49 PM
You are doing great Jennie ~ that is an interesting combination: low fat, low carb, smaller portions, and 5-6 small meals a day ... very similar to the Herbal Magic plan, so I am told. It is working for you and that's what matters; lots of people will be inspired by you and your success so far. It just goes to show that doing exercises can help tone your body so that you look slimmer, and you can lose sizes just from that alone. Sometimes, some people underestimate how much toning exercises can do for them.
:carrot: Congrats to you ... keep it up! :carrot:

Thank you :) I'll have to look into Herbal Magic plan. I was kinda just doing my own thing as far as eating, pulling info and tips from everywhere. After I had my gallbladder removed my doc told me low fat, low carb since I dont have that gallbladder to break down the fats in my foods. Then I heard its better to eat 5-6 small meals rather than 3 big meals because it keeps your metabolism going...so i kinda just went by that. But because i am so sensitive to foods shakes have helped me a lot!

Thanks so much everyone!
kimberb04 - I did have slip ups and still do, but I try not to beat myself up about it. I just get myself back on track again. Thats never really been an issue for me. I think the hardest time I've had was when I met my current bf. He's really fit, 5'10" 165lbs and that guy can eat whatever he wants, as much as he wants and doesn't gain a pound...I, like I'm sure many of us, kind of fall into that same pattern our partners do as far as eating and exercising goes. So the first few months I was with him, I started eating unhealthy and though i was still working out, I noticed the weight loss slowing down. I went from losing 10lbs a month to losing about 5 a month? some months i even stayed the same weight. This was huge for me because this had been the exact reason I gained this weight back. My ex boyfriend who was also my first bf always told me i was TOO skinny, I NEEDED to eat more and to eat like him. He loved feeding me and he loved me gaining weight. well i ended up over 100lbs heavier. After thinking about that, I didn't want to make that same mistake, I want to be happy for myself. That alone is motivation for me.

04-05-2010, 10:46 PM
I agree you carry it well. You probably will want to set your goal on a size over weight. It seems you are fit and exercise a lot which can mean you have more muscle mass that will weigh more.
Way to go on all your hard work.
04-05-2010, 10:52 PM
Thank you :) I have starting taking measurement's which I found to be much more exciting than what my scale says. I have lowered my monthly goal though from 10lbs a month to 5lbs a month since Ive noticed its been getting a lot harder for me to hit that 10lb goal. I'm in no hurry!
04-05-2010, 11:00 PM
WOW Jennie you look so good! It must feel so great seeing such a change. great job. I can't wait till I start seeing some really noticeable changes in myself :)
04-05-2010, 11:05 PM
Thank you so much Big Sexy. Its pictures like these that really keep me going. I know I have some image issues still, and most of the time when I look in the mirror i don't see what I see in the pics. They really do make a huge difference.
04-05-2010, 11:20 PM
I'm sure you have heard WOW 500 hundred times, but seriously wow, thats really an inspiration, you must have like some iron will power! What helped you loose it the most?
04-05-2010, 11:31 PM
Haha, you said it right there...pure will power! I have no idea where it comes from because most the time I'm fighting myself to get stuff done, but once I do what I have to do for that day I feel so proud of myself, and thats an addicting feeling for sure.
When I first started I ate smaller portions (low fat/low carb) and ate more often, and for the most part I only ever really did my pilates/resistance band video everyday along with a short walk outside. It wasn't until recently that I seriously started working out again. Right now I'm doing that pilates/band video along with Jillian Michaels 30day shred, and ever once in a while turbo jam and some 10min abs. I don't really have a set schedule other than doing 30day shred everyday. Thats something I'm working on this week - making that workout schedule.
04-06-2010, 01:22 AM
I am not a super organized person, but when it comes to working out, if i dont have a schedule, ill never do a thing. If i dont feel like it is part of a consistent everyday thing, i give up to easy.
But im gonna whip out the old exercise bike and start sweating. lol:carrot:
04-07-2010, 08:52 AM
that is so inspiring to see!
well done and congratulations! wish i had the will power to lose weight! i could do with losing a stone or two but dont have the strength to do it however seeing these images have made me realise i CAN do this!
you go girl! x
