Default Dried bean conversions

Hopefully this will come in handy I know it will be helpful for budget cooking because it's hard to get anything cheaper than dried beans!

Average for most beans (not guaranteed)

1/2 cup dried beans = 1 (15oz) can of beans, or 1 1/2 cups cooked and drained

1 cup dried beans = 3 cups cooked and drained

1 pound dried beans = 2 cups dry beans, before cooking
or 6 cups beans, after cooking
or 4 15-ounce cans of beans

Yay, Beans! I love beans and legumes. I've been cooking them from scratch again lately, it really saves money and is gratifying in a way.
