Question about calories burned...
So, maybe this is stupid, but I am keeping track of calories in Sparkpeople, adn they tell me I need to burn 238 in cardio everyday. When I track my cardio, it's about 200 for a half hour, 400 for an hour. Is the 238 on top of my resting metabolic rate, or 238 total during cardio? example: If I sit and do nothing for 1/2 hour and burn 25 calories does that mean I need to burn 238+25=263 total? Not that I don't intend to burn more, I just want to know how the math works.
