Default ~The 3/22-4/30 Plank+ Walk/running Challenge~

You can choose to do planks for this challenge or just the walking/running. Just state which your doing, or if your doing both.

This challenge starts next monday(3/22) to the thirtieth of April. Anyone up to that? For reals, no wimping out. Once you jump in, you'll be on the signed up list. To show that we all support each other, and that you're really going to work hard at this!

We know the thread for the plank challenge, but I've realized it didn't have enough structure. I also would like to be committed to walking/running. So this will be a fresh start for both.

Here's the deal :

It's a 24 day challenge.
You decide how much time is spent for both.
WALK/RUN plus PLANKS on: Mon.'s, Wed.'s, Fri.'s, and Sun.'s.

The rest of the week are rest days.

( You can show if your get carrot, brocoli, or bannana status at the end of this challenge-I just thought this would be fun and really cute)
If you complete 24/24 days you reach status.

If you complete 20/24 days of this challenge you reach status.

If you complete at least 15/24 days of this challenge you reach status.

Whoot! Whoot!

Yep, I need something like this to get my butt back to exercising. I haven't worked out in a week! I'm definitely feeling it.

So I'll be joining -- I mean COMMITTING -- to this challenge!

My goals will be:
walk/run @ least 30 mins/day
plank on M/W/F for 30 seconds (will probably have to break this into 2 fifteen second planks!)

!

MARCH 22 - DONE!
MARCH 23 - DONE!
-okay its april and i keep forgetting to post here. missed my friday workout, didn't do well yesterday at all. tomorrow's another day...

Great goals, I can't wait to be a bannana. (That sounds silly I know.)

my goals are:
walk/run for at least 30 mins or more.
do the planks on said days, 5 sets of a 1 minute plank.

Oh I am most definitely in, the weather is starting to get lovely around here and I'm craving my outdoor walks! But Tuesdays and Thursdays I go spinning at my gym, so those won't be real rest days for me

Goals:
Walk - At least 2 miles everyday (my usual walk with the dog is 2.5 miles, but I want to get some more mileage in!)
Planks - 5 sets of 30 second planks MWFS, with no more than 15 seconds of rest in between sets.

Progress
Walks - 1/24
Planks - 1/24

Woo! I am SO glad this challenge starts tomorrow because I was at a wedding convention today (I work part time for Liberty Travel) and there was lots of cake sampling!

Who else is PUMPED to rock this challenge?

Hahaha - so, I'm DEFINITELY going to have to revise my plank goals I did my first workout this morning and holy mother did that hurt!! I did one for a full minute and one for about 40 seconds and that was all I could get through. I guess I'll be working up to 5 minutes a little slower than I thought!

Smisen - You can space them throughout the day? I'm about to go to my workout (grrr, have to walk inside because it started raining), and I'm planning on doing my planks after... we'll see how 5 one minute planks go lol

Mary - Yeah, I think I might try that. I like to have my workouts done and out of the way in the morning, but I might try to do some early and some right before bed. But I'm still going to back off my goals a little bit - I had a pretty ambitious plan going that involved me doing a 5 minute plank in 5 weeks...

platformnine-omg! My brother's birthday was yesturday. Cake and pizza. Blah.

But pumped to start this challenge!

smisen-You should revise so that your not being to hard on yourself.

I'll have to wait until later to do my workouts.

Let's go kick some butt, I'm ready.
