today for breakfast i had 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1/2 cup yogurt...lunch was the leftover stirfry stuff with one egg mixed in; snack was 1 cup of the soup; dinner was a small amount of chicken and about 2 Tbsp. of noodles; small salad; then one piece of whole wheat bread I savored with a cup of coffee. That is the best I have done for a long time!! my workout this morning was the 30 minutes of aerobics from Slim in Six; then some leg work and ab work.

Well snowed in today it is a blizzard around her snowing like 6+ inches right now and 35 mph wind so ya can't even see the garage let alone the street

so I got the tree up today - went with my 2ft tree on a mini table but it looks good so that all that matters - we aren't home much on christmas anyways but it does look weird the presents just over power the tree :)
well I suppose I need to get some supper started before DH starts snacking

I plowed my driveway 2 times today, we got 12+ inches, now ready for the wind and cold.

Booo to snow that you couldn't even ride the snowmachines in, Reda! and that's alot of snow Aaron. Here we've just been getting light dustings at our elevation, maybe 6 inches on the mountain but as long as the skiers are happy that's good.

went to a holiday party last night; did pretty well considering. I went in with 600 calories left for the day. I had 2 beers, 1 shot of tequila, 8 peanut sauced meatballs, one 1 inch pig in blanket, one potato chip with onion dip, one cookie, and one 1 inch brownie. I was GLAD there were no piles of loose chocolates, truffles, or peppermint bark around, because that stuff would have slayed me. And the cookie was not THAT great, or else I would have had more :devil:

today I had my now-usual 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1/2 cup yogurt, then did 30 Day Shred level 3, and will bring my healthy stuff to work, and drink even more water.

Yesterday at work I came VERY close to scarfing one the big 400-ish calorie cookies just because it was broken and I stopped myself!!! that was big for me :p Now I"ve gone 3 days at work without a bad sweet. Too bad I did have that bit of sugar last night with the small cookie and brownie, but I will keep on truckin :devil:

WOW, Reda and Aaron on the snow! We would not know what to do with that kind of accumulation

It flurried here last night. So, I got we got our "first" snow out of the way. But, it is so dang windy right now it is not even funny!!!

Holly, you did excellent at the party last night. I bet you remember the day where you could have eaten the whole tray of any of those foods, huh? I can remember the day for me. I have to make myself stop now... I guess I will always have to do that.

I lost 3.1 pounds last week on the new version of WW. Probably would have been more if I really had tried, but I did the best I could.

I did not get my remote start. I cancelled my appt at a smaller place to go to a more conveinent place...... and it backfired on me b/c the clerk told me I did not need an appt. even when I questioned it..... and of course, you do need one. I will get over it, but I was sooo mad. Oh well, such is life.

Well, I am off today, so I am going to get up and get ready to do something... I have no clue what. Lol.

Well the winds let up sometime last night after bedtime :) roads got cleared up today ours finally about 5pm tonight but I ventured out today good thing for 4 wheel drives :)

Aaron I seen on tv you were getting dumped on glad we only got around the 6 inches it is enough for right now but I think they are calling for more snow on Tuesday or Wednesday

Well I lost 3 lbs this week so only a couple more to go and my stats will be correct again so I am not going to change it hopefully by the end of this week it will be correct :)

Good morning! wow Tammy and Reda are losing like crazy :carrot: yay to you guys!

me, well I fell off the wagon briefly yesterday :o but back to it today. At least I know I CAN have 2 or 3 days in a row totally on program with eating.

ALL our snow got washed away by rain last night! do you hear me crying :devil: no you do not. Well I mean the snow 'down' here, it is still deep on the peaks. But it will come back this afternoon, even though its in the 40's now, its gonna drop to 20's, and start snowing. 2" to 5" by tomorrow morning, it will be white again around here.

My husband got to talk a bit to someone, at the party, who had a bad head injury in the past, and is a riding person. Maybe it gave him some perspective. I wouldn't know, he doesn't tell me much, but maybe it helped him some.

I am still stalling the insurance company on my bike. The guy wrote (we email, because we just cant connect with phone calls and I actually prefer email) 'is there anything I can help you with' and I said no, it's just that I cannot accept that offer of $5900 because in my mind it's too low. Haven't heard back from him since last week :devil: I don't know how much they are allowed to 'play' with the numbers. I hope its putting them in a bind because it's been over 2 months.

Hi This weekend sucked for my diet, I had to much to drink on friday, to many fresh cookies , the wrong food for lunch, way to much for supper. I was stuck in the house all weekend with my wife who loves to cook and bake. My wife is on a diet also, but with the snow and real bad roads it was real hard to stay away from it. I hope I can get back on track today. Holly way to go, I hope I can do as good as you did at our Christmas party's. Reda 3lbs thats great. Tammy the auto remote start will be nice to have with the cold weather.

Oh , stuck in the house with fresh cookies and good food, that is a tough one :devil: We have another party this Friday, this one is an all biker person party so its sure to have lots of good food and even more booze :devil::devil: so it will be a challenge for sure. MAYBE since I am anticipating it, I can daily cut some calories to budget for it. Maybe :p

Holly I hope your insurance company gives you what you want/need for your bike. The good news is that you have all winter to find a new bike. The budget idea might work for me.

Morning everyone. We had more snow this weekend as well. Im not sure how much more we got yet. The amount we got plus the 7.6 inches from last week I had to go out & shovel a path way for the dog to go in the yard. I watched him trying to walk in the yard & he just kept sinking down to his belly/ chest. It was funny watching but thought I better make it easy for him so I didnt have to clean up any messes in the house.

The last 2 Saturdays I had plans to go to CR to visit a friend but between her getting sick & the weather it has not happened. Hopefuly we can get together this coming Saturday. I still have a couple gifts to buy.

Well, I bragged..... but I fell off the wagon yesterday, but I don't think it is the worst yet..... I got a steroid shot today b/c the $146 shot I got last week did nothing... in fact, I am worse. I got a diagnosis of "sinusitis, bronchitis, a cold..... and the good one my doctor actually said I am "flirting" with pneumonia". If the $100 worth of medicine and the shot do not work.... I have to go back to have my chest x-rayed. BUT< I will make it.

Holly, now that you jogged my memory.... I do think I remember from when my doctor's did "head/brain cases" that a trauma to the head does cause personality changes. AND depending on the severity of it--- it could be temporary. So, just keep that in mind.

I am sorry you all are getting snow like crazy..... but if you don't mind, PLEASE keep it up there! LOl.

Yes, I also read of the personality changes. Things are still a little strained. There are like 'land mines' all around...things that we know exist but we don't speak of them. It's not great. It's not terrible either but its far from the easy relationship we had 'prior'. Just hoping like heck that time will help and that the 'fever' will get him prior to riding season.

We got about 4" last night, I need to do a little shoveling, then leave the rest for younger son to do.

My last communication with the insurance company - he asked, 'are there anyother questions I can help you with?' (becasue I was griping about all my accesories counting for about nothing). I replied..'no, thanks, you answered my questions...I just cannot accept the amount $----" . That was last week, no reply from him :devil:

I wish my wife would stop baking cookies,the cookies were so good, just like my grandma makes for me, and has made for me the last 30 years. The cookies are small peanut butter cookies with a chocolate star on top. My will power is at zero. I took all the cookies that I like and froze them, that way I don't see them on the counter. I hope today I can stay on track,I did do 1/2 hour on my eliptical machine. Did you gals watch the biggest loser,Wow what a change. I love the before and after pictures.

Oh Aaron I call those cookies 'peanut blossoms' and THEY...ARE...GOOD!!! Your grandma is still alive, that is wonderful. My grandma loved to bake goodies for us too, I guess that's what grandmas are for :D I hear ya on the 'no will power' thing. Out of sight, out of mind is good.

It is SO cold here ,ugh. I have off today and tomrrow but just came from doing errands in town, and BRRRR!!!!

I have never seen a full show of TBL, my dear husband would change the channel :devil: and I guess I couldn't understand about the premise of stratedgy and such...I thought it was just about who loses the most.

Well my test of will power today, will be to NOT GO CRAZY over the goodies I have to start making. Just had some tuna fish for lunch so at least I'll be full for a while.

oh and my exercise yesterday was 30 minutes of step aerobics; today was about 15 minutes of cardio, then 45 minutes of strength.

Well i wasn't totally OP yesterday we had a meeting with the accountant so went out for lunch first - Olive Garden - but I did only have the soup and salad with 2 breadsticks so not real bad but not of course the soup and breadsticks are not real good for me right now either.....

Oh I have never been a baker thank goodness but DH mom is and she is constantly bringing cookies and stuff to our house but lately I have been telling the boys to take them we don't want them around - it really is to much temptation -so Aaron I have to agree out of site out of mind as well
Well didn't get my 30 minutes on treadmil last night but I did bowl so that was my exercise for yesterday :) along with a couple of no no beers- oh well

Oh and those cookies are my favorite cookies as well because I love peanut butter and chocolate :)

tammy I hope going back to the Dr has done wonderful things because phneumonia is not a good thing and working 2 jobs you have to be feeling it- just make just you are taking care of yourself

I just got done baking for the churchs bake sale & silent auction that was on Dec. 4 & 5th. They made $4700! I guess another lady & myself were the top bakers this yr cuz the letter that was sent out thanked the 2 of us for all the baking we did. I am still baking some, I am sending some to my mom & sister that live in NC. Every yr I tell my sister what I am baking for the sale & every yr she tells me to send her some but I never do. I guess I feel like being nice this yr. I will be happy when the new yr is here, then maybe I will be able to get get back on track again. Maybe cuz me & the cold weather does not get along well. I normanly just want to eat all day long when it is cold.

What wagon is this that you speak of? I was on a wagon once, but fell off several months ago and haven't ever seen it again!! ;)

Welcome Aaron. These gals are great! People come and go off the board, but they are consistant! Good friends that never see each other!

Tree is up, presents bought, but not wrapped--I've still got a week. Celebrating with kids and my folks Christmas evening. Ham and chicken with all the goodies at our house.

Last week I was out of commission with a kidney infection--I lost a couple of days--slept for 16 hours one day! Felling better with the help of antibiotics.

Keep up the good work to all of you with willpower enough to diet during the holidays! Cashew brittle is not my friend! Yum...

COLLEEN is back!! so sorry to hear of the infection, glad you are over it? I hope so!

Yesterday I was very motivated, got up early (like 5:30) and started doing things. Worked out for over an hour!! 15 minutes cardio then over 45 minutes strength. Vacuumed, laundry, cleaned up an ungodly mess that was under my desk (formerly DH's desk; there were 13 different cords/cables/wires/etc that weren't even being used or plugged in, just all tangled together) shoveled snow, hung blankets out to air, then worked on these -

Welcome MsDiana! Nice bike! Who wants to talk about dieting when there are so many good cookies out there!? The gals on this site, aside from me, are all doing so well, and are at or near their goal. They are a wonderful help and great support system! Aaron is new to this thread. Maybe we should start a new thread...Hawtest biker chicks and guy! Hehe!

I'm the jokester I guess. Not doing very well with the diet plan, but like the forum and this group anyway! Good internet friends! Real people that seem to understand some of the frustrations that we all go through at some time or another.

Pork roast in the Crock Pot for supper. DH's work Christmas party tomorrow night, then Sunday off to the rockin' good times at the nursing home Christmas with my 93 y/o grandma!

I am not doing well in the diet department at all. My strategy is to survive the remainder of this steroid shot munchy phase and pick up after Christmas. It seems like the only thing to do when you work 3rd shift is EAT JUNK FOOD.... which is NOT COOL! Oh well, such is life, right?

Aaron, I am sorry you are dealing with the cookies...... but hey, my thing is just to survive during the rest of the holidays and hit it hard the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS..... I am not waiting until New Year.... I can't!

I finally got all my shopping done. Went to see a friend yesterday & wow was it crazy. Line of cars in the streets & in the parking lots. I did buy some new clothes for me. 2 pants & 2 shirts. The 1 pair of pants is a size 8 & the other is a size 6. I think the 6 is sized wrong cuz they feel just as loose as the size 8. I found all kinds of clothes I liked but I hate the prices that go with the new clothes.

tymaboy, I have noticed your ticker and wow I haven't seen the 130's range since maybe 3rd grade :devil: I am sure that size 6 is correct and you flaunt it, girl!

and I guess 'what goes around, comes around'...- did I tell you that last week I was debating to put a $20 bill in a card with the cookies I was giving our trash pickup guy? and I decided to give it to him, because I would sure appreciate it if I got an unexpected Christmas tip from a well-wisher. well last night we met with 2 of our biker friends for dinner...they are members of our biking website as well as actually living close to us (our other members are either in New England, East Coast or Ohio area - and ND and SD :D )

well they give us an envelope...it was a collection they took up with our biker friends ...wow...in the past DH and I have contributed when we learned of folks in a hard time...this time WE were the recipients. Along with what I have already paid, it is almost enough to cover the local hospital bill (the people who are such #%&*@ to us) so that is a BIG BIG pinch relieved!!!

I know that they knew our situation was not terrible, not like 'the wolf is at the door' but they did know we are doing the best we could and it was the local hospital giving us a hard time that was the biggest pain, and I guess also because Christmas is right here and DH and I realized way back that we should prudently not spend anything we don't need to.

I have been thinking for weeks that 'something good MUST happen soon' and here it is.

Everyone has ups and downs in life, we have been really lucky so far to not have much of downs; and when we are back up on our feet we are sure going to 'pay it forward'.

I have not been doing good in the diet department either, but will keep plugging away.

Oh and the Rat B@st@rd Boss said something so stupidly insensitive yesterday. Something like 'oh, this is your time of year, Holly!' and I said blandly, "why?" and he said 'because it's your NAME' :rolleyes: and I said 'well, I've had better Christmases' and he says, "Oh, maybe Joe will buy you a new motorcycle for Christmas".

I won the big door prize at DH's party! 19.2 Craftsman get-up with drill, vacuum, light, sawzall...THEN, I pulled DH's ticket for the next winner!! He picked a heated coffee mug!! He doesn't drink ANY hot drinks--for sure not coffee! I thought it was funny!

At Grandma's party I got Santa to give Granny a big kiss! "That was a surprise" she said! Got her giggling and tappin' her toes to some Christmas music. Cookies are the only thing keeping her awake. She would nod off, and I'd ask if she wanted another cookie--She'd say "ya, ya, ya, I could use one!", and wake up long enough to eat a cookie and start again. I for sure inhereted those genes! :D

3-4 hours of sleep?!! That sounds like a nap, not a good nights rest! I've been trying for 45 years to get enough beauty sleep! Still working on it! No less than 8 hours, or I'm cranky! For real!

Tonight, I HAVE to get some presents wrapped! I have put this off way too long! AND the tree looks silly with nothing under it! Do any of you play any Christmas games with your family? Friend of mine shops all year for goodies, and plays the Price is Right. I was wanting to do that too, but it would cost me a fortune to start NOW! I need to be able to get stuff on sale! Any other fun traditions that you do?

Tymaboy...size 6!! Wow! I was a size 6 once--in second grade, for about 2 weeks, and I had to roll the pants up 8 rolls...congrats! I don't think a size 6 would fit around my head!

The size 6 sounds really good but I know they are sized wrong. Most of my pants are an 8 & the 6 fit like my 8s do. But I love #. It's great motivation. I have not done very well since before Thanksgiving, I'll do better after the new year. I hate the snow but it is a good workout when we have to shovel it all the time. I still want nice weather so I can get the bike out again.

leatherman glad to hear that you are feeling better before the Holidays and you sound like my DH he has been saying alot lately that he would much rather have me riding on his moto with him instead of my own- I just tell him that I will continue to ride my own as I have for the last 11 years but when I feel like it I will ride with him of which I do ride with him at least once a week :) of course during the riding season that it as we all know in SD we are getting sleet and snow so no riding aloud...dang it

Well my DS text me from work to make a dentist appt for him said his tooth was hurting - then he called and said he needed it right away, got him in and they had to pull a wisdom tooth the medication that they gave him has knocked him out and on the plus side we haven't had to listen to him whine at all tonight - I know not nice but geeez it is the truth

Tymaboy, is your climate such that you might get your bike out before the spring months?

Yesterday I didn't have time to work out, got a call from DH (he leaves at about 7 am) that he had car trouble and needed me to call AAA , no cell service there (he called from an outside phone, thank god there are still a few of them around) and to come pick him up. This is trouble with the Jetta that I bought from my Slovakian co-workers in October.

I was :tantrum: because come on now, we just spent over $400 for new snow tires for the car, and I only paid $600 for the whole car, and it was something to do with the engine. So I was in a black mood when driving there to pick him up. Also thought I had to drive him to work, and that was gonna make me late for my work...but it was OK for him to come back home, and tell his work that he would be a few hours late.

Well it is very helpful to have our sons living here, because with all the damn cars in our driveway :devil: at least there is usually a spare one to use. Got the word from the mechanic that it was an O ring and I guess that isn't too bad, and I think we can pick it up today.

and I was trying so hard to keep things in perspective; things go wrong with cars, it was relatively minor, you just have to go with the flow and take care of it, but I felt like saying ...enough .. is .. enough. Because I was imagining the worst, that the engine had blown or something. I got my Christmas bonus from my summer work place in the mail yesterday, and i think it's just enough to cover the car repair. So hey that's good isn't it :D

I am just spoiled because all our life together I guess we have been lucky with no major problems with health issues (like god forbid, leukemia or cancer to our kids) and money, well we had tight times way back earlier in beginning of marriage (when you have under $100 in checking account) so I guess it is hard for me to deal with things when they are not going smoothly or how I planned. Someone needs to kick me in the butt and say 'hey it is not that bad, ALOT have it worse'.

it is so nice to be able to vent here :tantrum: and I hope to goodness my overall mood is better SOMEDAY .

I got the Christmas stuff done--except baking, and that just isn't gonna happen. What NEEDS to happen now is for Santa's merry little elves to come clean up the mess I have in the house! I imagine they are busy this time of year, so I'll see what I can manage to get done tonight on my own. :snowball:

Last night I got off work a little early to head for 1 last run to get more stuff for under the tree, and bows for the finally, wrapped presents. Took my Momma along, and ate chicken soup at her house on the way back. :) I liked the idea of not having to figure out what to eat at home! Lately it's been something sound and nutritious like a bowl of cereal! :devil: Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a favorite.

Aaron, why not get your wife on here? First off she would probably shoot you for mentioning what size she wears!! Hehe. Although, I would LOVE to be back in a size 16! That was 2 kids ago... My jeans do say size 6 actually! From Fashion Bug, the sizes are screwy. I wear a 6 long, Rodeo syle! Doesn't that sound great!? Sounds like cute little hip huggers with wide bottom legs, and tight thighs...NOPE! They resemble tents that you jump into and cinch at the top!

I'm in a much better mood now than this morning, I am glad younger son was here to motivate me to just MOVE, because otherwise I would have hid in bed all day. BUt I forced myself to work out (a step routine) and then we went out and did errands. He is the one that made me feel kinda bad for not having a tree, but for goodness sake, he's 20 years old, he can go out and get one if he wants one that badly!

Just talked to my mom, poor thing, she has some kind of stomach bug and just can't have anyone over to her house on Christmas Day as we usually do. So we will just be relaxing here.

Oh and I just got off the phone to the Billing dept. of the not-so-nice hospital. i got a different lady and she was WORLDS different than the others, chirpy and nice and full of empathy. Apparently I have knocked off enough so far (over $600) so now they can 'work with me' a little more on what the payments will be. $250 instead of the $287 and no more threats of Collection. Not a huge diff but i feel alot better about it now.

this afternoon I made some more white chocolate drizzled pretzel rods. Do you know how addicting a salty, crunchy pretzel is when you drizzle it with chocolate :p

It's now been a month since I last wrote to the insurance company and said the price they offered is too low. Do they have a time limit, that they're supposed to settle these things? I can wait...

Ok Colleen you are way to funny - I started laughing and DH says "whats so funny" then I had to tell him about what you said - still rolling around :rofl: I didn't realize that Fashion Bug sized their jeans that way but I was in Maurices trying to find DS's girlfriend something and noticed that their plus size clothes are sized 0-1-2-3 , not that she is any of those sizes and actually just the opposite she is like in a small shirt and size 3 jeans oh to be that small again -but same here that was 2 kids and many years ago :)

Holly glad to hear that the hospital is willing to work with you now and that you may see some light at the end of the tunnel -oh and boy do those pretzels sound good

I know how you feel about buying a car. You just never know what you will get in the long run. Dh bought his truck brand new, his dad bought the same truck & I got a used car 3 yrs after they bought their new trucks. Dh has had more work done to his truck then the rest of us. My car is a yr older then his truck. We just bought a 2000 jeep lerado today. I hope we made a good choice. I hope we have the same luck as we did with the car.

Well it was starting off great my Dad showed up last night unexpected - haven't spent Christmas with Dad for over 10 years so we set up to have lunch today with the whole family (immediate family) got up this morning went shopping since I sent his present in the mail wanted to have somethign for him to open then came home and started cooking - went out to start the pickup and seen my DS (youngest 19) was spun out on the road and a neighbor from a couple of blocks sitting there so I thought with the new snow we got DS was messing around and Larry stopped to help him so I came back in the house hollared at DH and told him to go out and help then we both walked outside and realize oh no he was in a wreck and yes it was his fault he pulled out in front of the pickup and got hit- DS car is totaled and it does look really bad - the pickup will need a new bumper, grill, hood ..... We do have liability insurance so it will cover the pickup but not DS car so now we will have to find him another car as he drives 20 miles one way to work and DH doesn't want him driving his brand new pickup and I have a company car ( oh and everyone is OK)

So there is how my Friday started out so it can only get better from here :)

but everyone else have a Great Holiday ahd come Monday I will have to pull the wagon back out and jump in full force :)

Colleen, LOL..... about the description of your jeans...... but trust me, that would be the only way I could get into a 6. God just did not mean for me to be in the single digits. Even at my smallest and my "healthy" weight..... I am still in 12's...... but what do you expect when your body type is like an Amazon woman? l just have to accept it and move on.

Leatherman, I think it would be great for your wife to chat on here with us too..... unless you chose to use our input as a secret female outlet. Lol.... she may wonder why you all of a sudden got more insight and wisdom into the female world......... which comes from listening to us vent. lol.

Well y'all, I have to go get ready for work. This is the first time EVER I have had to work Christmas Eve night or Christmas day..... but once I am at work I am okay with it..... it is just getting there.

With the snow we found out that the jeep works good. In Janesville they got maybe 2 inches of snow, Dbq has gotten around 6 inches. That puts Dbq over 30 inches of snow so far this yr.

I got a pair of pants that I need to exchange for a smaller pair. My sil says that at gap the sizes run big. But that's fine that will be another pair at a size 6.

Wow Holly suprised Rat B Boss gave you anything at all - but what a nice surprise and way to funny about fist bump :rofl: Oh ya I got my Harley Bling Jacket and also some Bling Earbuds (I do listen to IPod on motorcycle) it actually gives me music and takes place of the ear plugs which I need on my bike- Oh Holly I think in about a month or so you will really start looking at bikes seriously and the spirit will be back in the air :D

Holly, Glad the hospital is finally acting a little nicer, and the Rat Boss was even in the holiday spirit! Now if you can catch the insurance company on a good day...I'd press them a little. I don't think the waiting game will work to your advantage. Do you have a list to present to them of the accessories and the retail prices of them? Or at least get another price of a bike all decked out like yours was to give you some leverage. The insurance company's responsibility it to make you "whole", not more or less than the value of what you had before a loss. Free advice--not guaranteed to work however! By the way--the Elves around here very undependable!

Aaron, Good luck dieting during the holidays! You must have tons of willpower to even TRY. Good for you! I got into the goodies yesterday--never eating any "real" food. Made me wish I wouldn't have done that by evening! Gastric reflux...ick. What type of work do you do? Is there food around? It's horrible at the office when someone brings food--like that is part of the work plan, and I dive whole heartedly into finishing the food eating project!

Christmas was good. Kids were pleased with their gifts, which pleases me! Got the folks a GPS as they spent most of their vacation South getting lost it sounds. Hope they won't be afraid to use it...last year we got them a cell phone and put it on our plan...someday they'll get it figured out. Not sure if Step-dad can hear it ring. I think he hears the annoying ring, and turns his hearing aid off to stop the ringing! After only a year they haven't mastered the getting a message part just yet! :lol:

Now I am planning a progressive dinner, like we did last year, for New Years Day. Had lots of fun, and this year I want to have a White Elephant gift exchange too. I'm really slipping though--I don't have a gift! It was my idea, and I still don't have a gift for either of us to bring! I'm going at lunch to see if I can get a singing bear I saw before Christmas. He sang the Cotton Eye Joe!! Cute! (but noisey!) We have the main course. What should I make? Last year we had lasagna. Needs to be something I can make, and leave for 3 hours, and serve with just a few minutes preparation. I love having a taco bar, but I think I've used that for too many gatherings--need something new. Snacks, soup, salad, and desserts will be at other peoples houses. Please share your good ideas with me! FAST!

I run a bull dozer in the summer. I get layed off for the winter,so I do have time to work out but I am at home so food is here all the time. :D

DH was in a horrible accident in the semi tonight. Another semi crossed the median and hit him head on, and took out another semi too. All 3 drivers are okay. DH has NO broken bones. Went to the hospital, and has already been released. Semi's are total losses (2 anyway, not sure about the 3rd). Lucky men! Other driver was evidently sick, and lost control of his truck causing the accident. ??

Sleepless night...

OMG Colleen that would have been horrible but so happy to hear that all drivers are OK - just thinking about it makes me ill :(

But believe me if it was any other reason that the accident happened it will come out because they will do a blood test and usually on all parties

Well our bad weather is suppose to come in tomorrow evening and start with freezing rain then turn to snow sometime Thursday - I guess I may get a 4 day weekend so no complaining here and it sure won't ruin our New Years Celebration :)
