Ah the strange things we celebrate around here! LOL! That just seems like a very attainable loss. I feel like I've reached a point where people will look at me and say "YOU'RE obese??" Because I've never met a person who was just inside of obese that I thought actually looked it.

Hey, I'm only 21 lbs short of overweight...

Glad you mentioned it, as I've been looking for something to celebrate.

wicked, i'm jealous! after a TON of weight lost, i think i'm still obese! i went from a BMI of 49.1 (that's NOT a typo, kids) which is Class III Obese (that sounds sooo ominous) to a BMI of 33.1, which is Class I obese... i SO want that word to disappear from my vocabulary!!!

Wonderful!!

There's SO much to celebrate as we head down in numbers. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weight loss journey. It was so exciting. With each pound LOST, I actually GAINED so much. It was thrilling. Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy!

Yes, only the folks here (100lb club) would understand why last month's weigh-in I was hoping to weigh in the 190's (to finally enter onederland after 20 years) or why this month I'm hoping for 185 so I can be overweight instead of obese.

These aren't numbers other folks would understand celebrating I know, but you all know how special these milestones are to me.

You know I read on another post where someone is actually "sad" because they don't have a group like the 100 pound club! I am blessed and honored to be a part of this group...who would-da thunk it? I am counting down to 207...then I won't be morbidly obese anymore...just obese! HOOT!

Trazey, girl. Do your math!!:D

You and me are the same height and the same weight.

We hit "overweight" at 196lbs.

That means you have.... drumroll...

TWENTY-TWO POUNDS TO GO!!!

Obese to me is such a "4 letter word" that I will be happy to see that label gone. I know it is technically just a medical term but it ranks right up there with my personal least favorite filthy words. It is a word that is used to denigrate and hurt.

I look forward to being just plain FAT. However, I have quite a ways to go! Good for you Eliana!

Good for you! I can not wait to get to that point. Obese is such an ugly word especially when you are in the hospital having a baby.

I never again want to fear the words "obese female" in any medical file of mine!!

That's brilliant news Eliana, you'll be there in no time :carrot:
Your post got me thinking today as well and I've had several revelations which have excited me no end, but that's another post.

Wonderful! It does sound much better to overweight than obese. I can't wait to hit that category.

NICE JOB - just look at how many pounds lost and how many to go on your ticker - SWEET!

I am looking forward to the day that someone just says, a little big or chubby - not THE BIG GIRL ha
