middle names ?
Is there a rule on using the same middle name twice? I know silly question but this last name sounds good for both names.
ds2's name is Zachariah James
ds3 to-be we're picking Elijah and think James would fit great with it. So Elijah James.
Only problem I for see happening is if they decide to use that name when they get older or they have to choose who uses it.
Anyways the other combo that we like is:
Elijah Paul
Elijah Matthew
middle name has to be from the new Testament.

I don't see why you couldn't use the same middle name again. I really like Elijah James but then again it's my nephews name so I might be biased. Of your other choices I like Elijah Matthew the most

I think it is perfectly OK. If they want to go by their middle name when they grow up , the first one wins !

I think it's weird having the same middle and presumably last names. My siblings both have "S" first names, and I don't. I always felt awkwardly excluded when it was roll-call time in our house when I was little.. like the sesame street song.. "One of these things is not like the other..."
I also really really like Elijah Matthew.

2 of my brother have the same middle names...I personally would not do it.
I think it is a lovely name but they feel cheated when there older. This I know from there experience.
I love the name Elijah & james as a middle does sound great.
Maybe try Elijah Shane Or Elijah Rain~These sound similair off the tongue as elijah James but then there would be no conflict problems when there get older.

In my family, the women have a common name. My mother was Mary Elizabeth, I'm Cary Elizabeth, and my sister is Elizabeth Kay. We always thought it kind of cool as we'd have a common name even after marriage.
Now here's an interesting twist. In my beau's family, the men have the same first name so they all are known by their middle name. All 6 men have their father's first name of John!

We have a name
When I told dh about not really liking Elijah Paul but was thinking Elijah Matthew was good, he said he had a back up name that he liked and I'm on board with this one.
Elijah Thomas
