Default Today is Day One

Hi!
I am very excited to start the Atkins diet! I really need to lose weight. I am a mother of a beautiful two year old and have diabetes. I am just tired of going to the doctor and having her upset with me because of my weight. I weigh 260 pounds. I do not like being this heavy and that is why I started the Atkins diet. I really need alot of encouragement and I need to remind myself that it is very important that I get healthy for myself and my daughter. Diabetes runs in my family and I know what it does to you and your body. So I will try to update everyday! Good luck to us all!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome. If you need lots of encouragement, this is the place to get it all day and night. When I started I went to the maintainer's threads and read them and learned as much as I could. It hasn't been hard at all. I can see living this way for life.

Jump in and enjoy your journey!!

You've come to the right place for lots of encouragement and support! You can do this thing! My advice is to make several mini-goals that you can reach pretty quickly. It is so empowering to check those off your list!
