Hi Tracey and Toryah
It seems we have something in common:- I was born and grew up in Nottingham but now live in Leicestershire. I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 1997. I was prescribed Xenical last year but the side effects were so bad I decided to give it the elbow. It would be great if you could give me advice on this 'low carbing' I don't know anything about it. I'm currently at ww and shedding 1lb per week... any help would be much appreciated.

Delany...nice to meet you :)
Im new to notts and finding it hard to get used to it, not knowing anyone makes it quite iosolated :(
Anyway low carbing is great for women with PCOS so i have heard, i have been low carbing for a couple of weeks now and i lost 6 lbs in my first week :D I bought a ook about low carbing...'The new high protine diet' by Professor Charles Clark and it taught me a lot about low carbing tips and tricks...really what i do is cut out ALL big carbs (bread, potatoes, pasta etc) and then resitrict the little ones...parsnips, beetroot etc...the book tells you how much carb is in most things :)
Good luck and feel free to pm me :)
Take care
