Hi, Chicks!
I'm currently a college student stuck in the dorms and on a cafeteria plan.
Starting this coming summer, however, I am transferring schools and will be acquiring my own housing with my own oven, fridge, and microwave! I'm extremely excited about this because I will finally be able to COOK again (I love to cook and bake) and I will be much more in control over my daily menu options.
However, this will be my first experience cooking for one. I'm used to making large batches for my family with the intent to leave at least a few days worth of leftovers.
Are there any other chicks out there living singly? Do you happen to have a recommendation for a recipe book that is geared towards single-living? I would really appreciate recipes that are not only on the small-portion scale, but also are healthy and suited for a low budget (I'm hoping to spend only $70 on food a week, at maximum.)
If you are not aware of any book recommendation, perhaps you have a particular website or your own ideas that you would be willing to share?
Thank you, everyone! I am so excited!
