40 pounds = a 5-gallon bottle of water or an average human leg
44 pounds = an elephant’s heart
50 pounds = a small bale of hay

As of December 29, 2009, I've lost the equivalent of a two-year-old child.
My goal is to lose the total equivalent weight of an elephant's p*nis. Perhaps I'll find another equivalent :-)

i dunno, if I had a gold brick that weighed 77 lbs, I don't think I'd want to lose it.

An elephant’s heart...huh, interesting.

That being said, I think I like losing:
a 3-gallon tub of super premium ice cream (24)
an automobile tire (20)
Because I've had to lug both of those around before and they seem much more tangible to me than the elephant heart

I've lost 10 dozen eggs!

10 dozen...damn.

I can't remember which old exercise video taught me this but the tip was to visualize each five extra pounds you carry as one of those five pound bags of sugar...hard for me to believe how many of those I've been carrying around on my gut and hips...lol...

But thinking of it as one and a half 5000 BTU air conditioners...that really brings it home!

Crazy, eh! When I look at it this way, it is no wonder I was always tired out, cranky and plain old sore! I was carting around a 2 month old horse on my back daily!! I wonder though if we have massive muscles under all our "extra's" since we were lugging this **** around day in day out???

I am happy to report an update! As of yesterday, I have now lost 30 pounds!!! That is the equivelant to the amount of cheese the average American eats in a year! Holy - thats a lot of cheese!

So I've now downsized from a horse to an Irish setter!! lol! Gotta love it!
