Talking exercise for busy chics

Hi, we all know that we only have 24 hours/day and sometimes it is not enough time to exercise especially when working. I am open to any suggestion for short cardio exercise to increase metabolism. This is the only time i have to exercise on weekdays:

6.00-6.30pm - take my dog for a walk and play.

i know this is not enough to burn all the calories i took during breakfast and lunch. anyone have other suggestion?

You've got to try to make time for yourself! I would suggest looking into some workout DVDs. The 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels is only 30 minutes long and definitely provides a great work out. I did it at the beginning of my weight loss, and I've been thinking about doing it again.

Suggestions:

-- In your 30 minute walks with your dog, increase the intensity by taking hills, jogging for 30-60 secs... Increase that 30 mins to 35-40-45 mins?

-- During the other parts of the day, there must be a few 10 min stints that you can pick up some dumbells and do some curls, lunges, squats....

-- Take the stairs, park further ...

-- Yoga will not burn the calories you want BUT it will definitely put you in a very good mind frame for the rest of the day and being in a better mood may lead you to do more activities...

Just a couple of suggestions... We don't make excuses when it comes to brushing our teeth, balancing our bank book so neither should we make excuses for exercising...

Good luck, let us know what you decide...

Howdy,
I have exercise videos either from youtube or netflix to be very helpful. I also use a small sledge hammer as a weight.

Best wishes.

Search "kettlebells" on YouTube and you may find a good solution that can easily (well, it's not easy!) in 20-30 minutes max that combines both cardio and strength conditioning.

Also, just my experience, but if I am really limited on time, I skip my traditional workout and exercise with the dog (running, jumping, sprinting, playing). It's also good for your (and his/her) mental health.

What do you mean by burning the calories from breakfast and lunch? You are not supposed to eat to a zero deficit if that is what you mean.
