Question Is it normal to gain a few pounds just from being on your monthly??

I have been sick since Thursday, haven't had much luck, keeping food down. But since I weigh myself on Saturday's I went ahead and weighed myself. I was at 199. 2 lbs up from last Saturday. (I did go off track a couple days) So I wasn't to hard on myself. Today I woke up feeling bloated (I started my monthly) I knew I shouldn't but I went ahead and got on the scale. I am up to 202. I know I splurged but I shouldn't have gained that much. I have been sick. Could it be just the bloating and being on my monthly? I am really down.

Just doing away with my pop and junk food I have went from 260 in July to 197 a week ago. I didn't weigh myself during that time, I knew I was losing but I wasn't activly focusing on it until this month. Any support would be nice. I know I am going to need to do some exercising. I found a Richard Simmons dvd, can I do that 45 minutes a day and would that be enough? Thanks

It's been my experience that I can gain a couple of pounds, as many as four or five, right around the start of that time. It falls back off again as your cycle progresses.

Yup, at my heaviest I could do 6 or 8 lbs ... as I recall.

Yup, like before you began losing weight. You just didn't notice back then cause you weren't weighing yourself all the time.

I definitely gain. I was 196.8. Started my TOM and today it's 199.6. It happens to me everytime. But I always look forward to feeling the little whoosh when it goes dowwn right after.

Same here! I had my TOM last week and today's weigh in showed an almost 5lb loss! Definitely something to look forward to.

So, try not to worry too much about the gain. Focus on staying on plan and look forward to your weigh in next week!

I totally feel your pain. I weighed in Sunday and although I didn't have the best week, I think I should have at least lost a few ounces. But nope. Yesterday I ate great all day, and even went under my points.

Weighed myself this morning after I tinkled, and was up a pound.

It's lame, but it does happen. It'll go away after a few days. Usually by the end of my period my weight goes back to normal. I hope you feel better!
