Default Well hello....

Hi LifeChanges here AKA Amanda

I am in a health craze an with that I am also in a scale craze..
When I say craze I mean its driving me crazy lol!

I have given up all meat, did get some protein powder tho yesterday,
as I have been told that this will aid in all I am doing not sure bout all that but it don't taste bad an I figure that other than fresh fruits an veggie's an a lil shredded wheat here an there that has become my new diet as I am trying to become a raw person in complete...

It has been about a week an a half now an I did try to do a 3 day diet but my body after a week an a half of having all the fruits an veggie's freaked out an I caved in as I feel so alive with live food...

I have had a lot more energy, in which I have decided to take on walking on warmer days, an I got a exercise ball in which my thighs are not sure if they like lol!

I was 287 over last summer an due to diabetes I made a life style change that helped with a weight loss bringing me down to the 230's but I am stuck on the high side of that...
CRY.....

I can't look at meat at all it grosses me out, I have no cravings for bad dead foods, I have been detoxing on a every other day basis it seems....

As this is new to me, I used to love meat! I have done all kind of diets, the last being HCG an resulted in it works but I was losing my hair cry cry cry...

Nothing seemed to work for more than a day or two...

When I began to eat fresh fruit an veggie's that was it for me LIFE CHANGE!!
I felt so alive, I have so much energy....

I have a goal weight in mind of like 136 as that is my healthy weight, but I have a major mini goal as I am working on having more children with my husband an need to have a tube reversal surgery, with that my BMI can not be more than 34 so that means my first goal is 190lbs...

That is like 50 lbs to go ugh.....

So I am here to find some weight loss buddies!

Welcome!! I'd encourage you to make sure you're getting some healthy fat in your diet too---avocado, nuts, olive oil if your plan allows for them.

Good luck!

Hi Amanda!
Congrats on the 52 pound loss, that's quite an achievement, sounds like you're ready to get going on reaching your goal - how smart to focus on health and not just a diet - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation. Cmaybe check out the Dieting with Obstacles forum to meet others with the additional challenge of diabetes.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
