I've never had a problem with losing weight and drinking diet pop. I don't even want to tell you how much I drink in one day. It does not give me any cravings, except for another Coke Zero. It's quite addicting though and not good for tooth enamel.
Ok this is really cool to hear...at one point I had like 4 a day. I haven't had one in almost two weeks and it was a lot easier to stop than I thought.
But now that you guys are telling me you drink it, maybe once I get to phase two I'll have one. But I am a bit afraid that it will make me gain back for some reason!
I've cut down alot. I go through phases where I don't have any, then for whatever reason start back up. I always have Diet Coke in the house so it's just what I feel like. I don't think DC has any effect on my WL one way or the other.
One thing I have done is if I want a DC, I have a huge glass of water first so I'm not drinking it to quench thirst-if that makes sense.
and here I was feeling bad about how much diet soda we have in the house...sheesh!! Ya'll are practically bathing in the stuff! lol kidding. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who loves me some fizzy goodness. Although, since I made the challenge to drink at least 64 oz of water a day...I haven't had any of the bubbly, darn water!! lol
I really found it hard at first to stop drinking sodas. I used to drink no less than 5 a day and was extremely addicted to it.
Now, that I decided to continue to not drink sodas I haven't seen much change in my weight because of it. Mostly I think that the exercise is the main reason for my weight loss.
