I was just wondering if any of you wornderful ladies are from San Diego. I moved out here a few months ago and still haven't really met many people. I have my roommates and a couple of other people I have met but I never realized how hard it is to meet people when you're not in school anymore. (Always the main way of social networking). And it doesn't help I work from home.

I feel you too.. I'm taking a class at the local college right now for my own benefit, but figured I'd be able to make a couple of friends... but no such luck. It's hard to meet new people. Best of luck!

One thought - check out Meetup.com and see if there are any groups in your area. When I first moved to WI (about a year and a half ago) and didn't have any friends, I went to a few events and it was a good way to get to know people. You sometimes have to try a few to find one that's a good fit for you (the first one I went to was a "social meetup group" aka "bunch of loser guys trying to hit on women"). Eventually I found a cool women's group that I still meet up with sometimes.

I'm in San Diego and I want to meet up with people for support and friendship too! I was born and raised here and can really show you some cool stuff.

There are a couple of threads with people wanting the same thing, but it seems they leave and don't come back.

It is hard to meet people when you're not in school--for me it's hard to meet people even when I am in school. I live in So Cal, but too far from San Diego. GL Finding some awesome people, though ^^
