I crossed the 100 pound mark today!! :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot:

And I am less than a quarter of a pound away from the 160's!!

I must say, these last 10 pounds have been the hardest EVER. I am hoping that it was the holidays more than the anything else because if the next (and last :) ) 20 are just as hard or harder....sigh. The 170's seem to be relentlessly difficult to shake :(

I can hardly believe where I was 10 months ago when my journey began. It was so hard looking at the scale...the amount of weight I had to lose seemed impossible and so, for a long time, it was easier not to even try.

Now that I am in the home stretch, it is the last 20 pounds that seems to daunting. There is part of me that is wondering if I picked "the right" goal weight. What if I never get there? Ugh!

At any rate, in THIS moment, I am just so grateful to be where I am and wanted to thank all of you chicks who have provided motivation and inspiration along the way. If reading my story helps even one person feel more confident in their ability to drop those pounds, I will be thrilled!

Thank you 3FC and thank you 100 lb Club!!

What an inspiration you are! Congratulations!
My goal is 150lbs too. I would love to only have 20 pounds to go.

BTW: You'll be at your goal before you know it. You've come a long way!

Congratulations! That's fantastic!!!!! You should celebrate with a massage or a foot rub.

This is a wonderful accomplishment. All your hard work and determination has paid off!

Inspirational. Awesome. Spectacular. :cheer:

Don't let the last 20lb get you down. You are already at a great height/weight. If it is slow just think of it as easing into maintenance!

01-22-2010, 07:43 AM

You are doing this! :carrot:

01-22-2010, 09:05 AM
Fantastic! And give yourself time on the last 20 lbs. I have no leg to stand on when giving this advice having never been there myself, BUT, I know that time's going to pass whether you lose that 20 lbs or not. You might as well let it pass while trying, right? Trying but not obsessing?

In any case, 100 pounds?! Wow! You're amazing...simply amazing.

You'll get there! I feel your pain, and know how frustrating it is when things slow down, but you will absolutely get there. Look how far you've come! 20 more pounds is nothing compared to what you've already done.

Yes, listening to your story is very inspirational to me, just at the beginning of my journey to lose 100lbs. I never thought it was possible until I came to 3FC. Now I am making progress every day and making better choices for my health.

Congratulations on accomplishing something that many think isn't possible, for having the courage not only to do it anyway, but to come here and post about it and share your journey with us! Thank you!

01-22-2010, 11:58 AM
congrats you should be very proud enjoy your moment!

01-22-2010, 12:31 PM
You give me hope! I am a trifle taller and started about a pound lower, and am headed to the same weight range. I put 145 down as a goal simply because it's in about the middle of the healthy weight range, and figured I'd fine-tune when I got there.

It can be done. It will be done! Thanks for posting this, and congratulations!

You've lost 100 pounds in 10 months. You've averaged 10 pounds per month and that is just awesome. You are awesome and it's ok if the last 10 were hard (I'm sure the holidays did play their part) and it's ok if the next 20 are hard. It's also ok if the next 20 never happen (I'm sure they will though) as long as you keep living the healthy life, which I know you will. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many of us and :goodluck: with the last 20.

I am just starting my journey. So glad you wrote your post. It was just what I needed to read. Kudos for all your hard work. I have to remember One pound at a time and everyone started somewhere.

01-22-2010, 12:42 PM
CONGRATULATIONS! what an awesome accomplishment! Believe me, if you've come this far, you can most definitely reach your goal. And who knows, your body may get comfortable at a different weight than your exact goal #, but all that really matters is that you're healthy & happy.

Congrats again!!

01-22-2010, 01:13 PM
Congratulations!!!!! And 20 pounds away from goal - that must feel amazing! :bravo:

01-22-2010, 01:39 PM
That is so awesome! I am getting closer and more and more nervous that I might not make it lol

WTG -- I am sure that is such a great relief!

01-22-2010, 02:14 PM
wow, that's great - and pretty fast too, so don't get too hard on yourself that the loss is slowing a bit now, that's totally to be expected. But you've already proven you have what it takes so I know you'll make it to your goal.

01-22-2010, 02:39 PM

WOW!!! WOW!!! and more WOW!!!

You've proved that hard work pays off. As does patience, perseverance and determination. Hold on to those essential things and there's no way that you can't not get to your goal.

And try to remember that this *hard* is no way near as hard as the hard of being morbidly obese. You have just added years to your life as well as a MUCH higher quality of life.

Thanks SO much for all the congratulations! It is really sort of surreal.

This forum (and the chicks on it :) ) has been such a wonderful place to be throughout this journey. Thanks chicks!!

I'll be counting on you all during this battle with the last 20 pounds and beyond...
