Default Stressful Day

Just need someone to listen....Today I ran into a hole (for lack of a better definition) when attempting to park my car. I had no idea it was there....well it cracked the bumper on my fairly new car (nicest car I've ever owned and love). My husband now thinks we should trade this 3 year old car in and get a 2001 or 2002 used car b/c he is afraid that there was some unseen damage and if we pay to fix it we would be wasting our money. I just want to cry and I am very frustrated with my husband right now!

I'm so sorry. Is there any way the car could be checked so you will know if there is any more damage? If you try to trade the car in they will check it any way, so you may as well find out first and then you can keep the car if there isn't any further damage.

That was exactly what I suggested to my husband. I feel like he is being unreasonable about this. Thanks for listening!

I agree with you- why trade in if nothing is wrong? Especially when an older car like that is more likely to have been in an accident or something and who knows if it would be on a carfax... hopefully your hubby will listen! SOrry you're having a tough day! Just breathe! it will all work out!

I agree with the others that it would be much better to see what was wrong with the car you really like. One thing is that you already know alot of things about this car, and getting another used one would be starting over with a car you know nothing about.

Sorry you had a bad day. It was many years before I ever had a car I liked, too. Hope your Friday is better!!!

Sorry about your bad day! I hope a night's rest will help and perspective will be clearer.
