Morning all!! Coffee is on, strong and leaded.

Kel, glad to hear your Mom is doing better.

Jiff glad your back with us too, we need you to keep peachie out of the craft stores :D

samsgrandma, congrats on the new addition.

Pooky still have my fingers crossed for you. A trip to Canada in the spring sounds good to me.

My overworked mind can't remember anything else from yesterdays dialy, if I missed your important news, I'm sorry.

Well my Dad continues to improve. He will be moved to a rehab place today. The best thing of all, my sister's friend is the head of nursing at the rehab place my Dad is going to, and she just loves my Dad. We know he will get good care, something which has been very lacking at the hospital he is in now. My sister told me she knows Dad is feeling better now, he is getting his sense of humor back, he told the nurses that he doesn't dare complain because my Mom and sister will beat him if he does, yea right  The nurse was asking him to please let them know if something is wrong, since he never complains.

Off to get the grey hair covered today! Boy does it come back fast.

I finished my bathroom yesterday, the jacuzzi is open for business.

Have a good day all

Debbie

Morning, Deb. I'll be back. I need to do a post about server outage and the extra chicken coop stuff.
When this site is down, we can still have a place to post but folks need to be registered and I will need emails.

************************************************** **
Sorry, was gone longer than expected and have to hit the road shortly.

On the agenda this morning is a shop at WallyWorld and then a haircut. I hope to be home by 1 but who knows? I may be dragged into the Chinese buffet place - probably not because it is not that great and I am meeting two chicks on Sunday for real stuff. Did anybody read the review on Chinese food on the main page? Hmmmmm --- but I still like it!

BAck later today to catch up - if the site is still up!

Gooooood Morning everyone! Deb, thanks for the coffee, I certainly needed that and great news about your dad! :)

Ruth, I'm ready and waiting--gee, it's like going on holidays or something going to the extra coop! :D

Samsgram, congrats on being an expectant grandma again! :)

Jennifer, I'm thinking about you for those cardio tests :)

Mrs. Spot, nice to see ya!

Jiff, this means no more jerky or whatever that bezoar thing is. And since when do you have hairballs?

Janice, ((((((BIG HUGS))))) you can always count on us, you know that, right?

Gee, my memory is getting bad, hi to everyone else I missed, memory is such a bad thing!

Yesterday was the day from hell with Miree--didn't want to listen, rude, obstinant, disrespectful, whiny..the list goes on. I should have a donkey at home, it would have been more fun. Just soooo very glad she is in daycare this morning! Thank goodness she's usually a good girl, I can take the occasional day. She was pretty remorseful by bed time because she came in to see me and gave me a hug and kiss and cried and said she was sorry for being naughty today. She's pretty quick for a 3 year old. So at least we made up by the end of the day. Does this count as the first official fight with my daughter? Because I know when she becomes a teenager it's going to be worse.

I'm confessiing right now: I have not been OP, in fact far from it. And I can only put it squarely on two thigns--first I am a carb addict and when it goes in y mouth I love it and I can stop, but most importantly the second is the metformin I was taking. My stomach was sooooo bad that I would ingest carbs just to have some sort of "cushion" there. Not very helpful when you're trying to get pregnant or even losing weight. I'm hoping with the med correction that I can go back to my low carb ways. Dh is wagging his finger at me :nono: and I accept I haven't been a stellar OPer. I can only move on, I know but it's the moving on part that's so hard!

Hope you all have a good day! :) See you in the extra coop!

Good Morning all........thanks for the coffee, Deb, I really need it this morning! (for the last 36 hours I've been suffering with my first allergy attack of the season - and it is a doozy!)

Princess J - if I were you, I'd get my atkid butt in gear: jif sounds very testy and I wouldn't want to get her kickin at me right now!!

LindaBC - I've been taking fibrecon (at doc's suggestion) since I started lc back in April..... for the most part, it helps keep me goin (pun intended!!) but occasionally Correctol is necessary. I haven't noticed that this has any effect on the iron monster tho! :(
By the way, your menu for yesterday looked wonderful, but I'm still keeping my carbs around 20, so it was too high for me - I AM jealous tho, my mouth was watering! ;)

Sil - magnesium tablets? hmmmmm .. would that be instead of the fibrecon? I'd HATE to become a jogger:lol: :o

Kel -- all good thoughts and prayers go out for your mom.....hope she's doing much much better now.

Janice! - how are you??? been missing you and thinking of you lately.

Jif, if I have to change my name, how're you gonna know it's me??? (hmmmmm maybe I should put in a reservation for "gran23now"???

Jennifer - perhaps you should tell Cody that grass is just a wee bit too much fiber for you!!

Ruth...... the job situation is the same. I've not heard anything from that resume I sent out; the witch at my job is now thinking about NOT leaving (altho our boss may just have something to say about that!!! ) .. so I am holding on. Believe me, I do NOT intend to take so many hours that I won't be available to companion that PWD who (somewhere) awaits me!

Well everyone, the shower awaits..... did my walkaway tape again and I am certainly glistening! have a lovely one ladies.....:flow2:

Wow! PJ and Pooky. you snuck right in there! hope you both have great days....... Pook.. the saying "little kids little troubles.... big kids-big troubles....." it's true! ;)

Morning everybody! I took a long weekend from work so I will probably be pestering everybody for a few days! Nothing planned but my chiropractor. I think I might go eat lunch somewhere too. I didn't make any Atkin's rolls last night and I am soooooo tired of roll-ups.

Pooky, 4 is much better than 3, so hang in there! I remember when Cody was 3. I cried more than he did! He was just plain TERRIBLE, but now he is the sweetest and most sensitive little boy I could ask for. He was so bad in daycare that the teachers used to joke that he would probably grow up to be a priest or something else equally ironic, based on his behavior!

Off to the recipe section to find a new smoothie recipe. Bought some chocolate protein powder and I have to give it a go!

OK, what an idiot I am  I posted over on Ruth's Coop thread. Wondered why nobody was awake and on the board yet~Duh!!!!!

Jennifer~~~Good luck on the cardiac tests.

Ruth~~~I sent my email to your PM. Thanks.

Debkay~~~Today is hair color day for me also :smug:

Pooky~~~Sending baby vibes your way {{{{ :bb: :bb: }}}}}

SamsG~~~On the Fat Flush Plan you add psyllium to the cranwater each morning and evening. The fiber content helps to cleanse and flush out the fats and toxins. But sometimes I get alittle constipated with all the bulk fiber and the added magnesium helps keep me regular. I think that everybody is different, though.

L~~~That little man keeps you hopping

Jihan~~~What have you decided to do as far as diet next week? Check in later, OK?

I erased my post "on the wrong thread" so here is a short update on me.
I have a Friday Confession to make. On day 13 of my 2 week FF diet, I blew it. I had 2 pieces of Mega Veggie Pizza at the Mellow Mushroom. I blame it on TOM!!! So, today i will continue with an added week of Phase 1.

Everybody have a great day.

Need I tell you I was drooling.......Don't Go THERE !!!! They also have this hot apple crisp thingy thats awesome (my fav). OMG Sorry didn't mean to ruin everyone's morning or start it off like this :s:

Okay its friday 1/2 day yahooooooooooooo.

Deb - I'll be right over to try out the new "J"
Its good to hear dad is making good progress - huggs.

Tippy hope the kitchen is going a little smoother today :sp:

Jennifer let us know how you make out with the Dr's...Prayers for you lady.

Pooky, don't worry about being OP, Watching is okay but don't try to lose to much or lose at all being preggy and all. HEY, any names picked out yet ?? Psssssst. stay away from caffeine, no good for the bambino (sorry, I shouldnt' tell you what to do, just concerned).... :bb:

Jihan, have a good one......SLOW DOWN !!!!!!!! :)

Sams :sp: :sp: I know how you feel.

L - kiddies are keeping you busy huh, Karate is an excellent sport for kids, teaches them control. I'd love to learn it myself but I am far from flexable and kicking in the air would just throw my back out for a year...

HEY if you snuck in on me....HELLO !!!!!!

Have an excellent weekend.

Hey Ladies. I am so broke it's scary. Today is pay day and it's mostly spent! SO. Unless I have an extra amount, I dont think I can hit the health food store to get all the stuff for the fat flush...I'm still sticking with Atkins, even didnt cheat yesterday when allll I wanted was candy (i'm having abnormal periods and i'm just so cranky). so I weigh in on Monday. I guess what I'll do is stick with Atkins til I can get some more backround on the fat flush and get the stuff, as I REALLY would like to try it! I'll check in later!

Hi Everyone! I have been MIA and wanted to get in a post before this place closed up shop for the weekend. The last few days around here have been absolutely crazy. As you know my DH's assistant took a promotion within the company and so he has been shorthanded and VERY busy at work. Well, his bookkeeper, who shall we say over the course of years she has been there has been what you might call "unreliable". Anyway, she has been even more so lately and with being shorthanded DH was not even getting to come home for lunch--as in go to work at 5:00 a.m. come home at 6:00 p.m. Finally his boss told him to let her go. My DH is not very well geared in that area so he was a mess over it, but did manage to get the job done. So, finally the company has sent up some temporary help for him and is working on a permanent solution. Needless to say our homelife has been "less than Ward and June Cleaver's house". DS and I have been trying to do everything we can to keep things "wonderful" around here, but it is like walking on eggshells. My eating plan has pooped out, but I have stuck with exercising. Busy and stressful time coming up for DS and I. School is starting next week  and DS has been doing these 2 a day practices. He had to be up at school today at 5:30 a.m. until 8:00. That is the schedule they will follow next week for the first week of school. I don't know how he will do it as right now he is in on his bed taking a nap. His dog is curled up right next to him in 7th heaven to have her boy to snuggle with. :) He has to be back up to practice again at 3:30 this afternoon til 6:00. Personally I think it's crazy and next week with homework and stuff it will be awful. Yesterday when he came home he had blown the side out his football shoe so we had to make a flying trip to a sports store about 30 miles away to get him another pair. Alas, enough of this moaning!

Samsgram, congrats on the new grandbaby to be--how exciting. How do you like your new tapes?

Kel, gosh I am sorry to hear that your mom has been having such a rough time of it. I sure hope she is feeling better soon. I bet your boys are gearing up for fall ball. Have they been watching the Little League World Series?

Linda, I will basically be restarting the Fat Flush on Monday. I have been doing the supplements, but as I said the eating has been a little suspect.:o Hopefully we (and Sil) will be successful with this.

Janice, why is your DS leaving and how far away is she going? Make sure you are taking care of yourself!

Jif, glad to see that you are doing better and out of the hospital! Is it sacriligous to ask you about that Italian Pie recipe on this thread???:D

Debkay, that is great news that your dad is improving so well--what a relief for you! Be careful at bandcamp in that heat!

Pooky, hope the doctor's appt. is all that you hope it to be.

Sil, GOOD NEWS!!! My mom up in WI has found the unsweetened cranberry juice at a health coop and is going to mail it to me! I am so excited!! She is getting me some whey powder too. Hoping these things will make all the difference.

Ruth, I sent you a PM with my email address--do I need to do more?

Hello to everyone else and take care!!!

I started Fat Flush today instead of waiting until Monday. I've been sort of gearing up for it over the past few days and yesterday I went to the health food store for the rest of my supplies. I got the Psyllium (that's like drinking half-dissolved gelatin), whey protein powder (nothing designer or flavored though because they only came in what looked like BARRELS)
I have the Evening Primrose Oil and the Flaxseed Oil and some of the recommended supplements (something called Slim System 8 Formula) but the HFS didn't have Stevia Plus. Just regular Stevia so I bought it anyhow. How bad can it be? Sometimes I think these diet book authors get some weird ideas in their heads that just don't make sense for the average person. For example, the gal who wrote the Fat Flush Plan, wants us all to do bouncies on a mini-trampoline. I had one of those for years but had to get rid of it finally as it really did a number on my bladder. After bladder repair surgery it didn't seem to wise to be doing too much bouncing around. So I will stick with my water exercises, the occasional walk and, hopefully, regular use of my recumbant cycle. It's still sitting there waiting to be completely assembled. I know, I know.. I had it nearly all done and realized I had four washers left over. Went back over the instructions and saw where I'd missed putting them on. Now I can't undo the screws because I tightened them too much so I have to wait for Peter to help me. I will eventually get going on the darned thing.
Anyhow, back to this Fat Flush thing. I thought I was drinking lots of water on Atkins, but this plan has me SLOSHING.
FIrst thing in morning you have a diluted cranberry juice drink with psyllium in it. This is followed by hot lemon water. After my swim, breakfast was a Blueberry Smoothie made with yet MORE diluted cranberry juice, whey powder, frozen blueberries, and stevia (not bad but I'm pretty sure the fruit has knocked me right out of ketosis), then I had half a grapefruit and another glass of cranwater. I'm not sure I can face even more of it with lunch and can I forgo salt? That's the big question of the day.
I went to my WW weigh-in this morning and was only down 1 stinkin' pound after sticking so carefully to Atkins all week. This is getting very frustrating.
Anyhow, hello to everybody. I have read every post but no time to respond to them. My heart goes out to everyone. Love you all.

Oh Linda. Dont give up! I know it's so frustrating. I'm on Atkins right now.....I am looking to try the fat flush too, but not til I can get the supplies.....I am kind of scared about the fruit too, but I really miss it, so if it works....
AAHHHHH. I just wish this wasnt even an issue....I"m so cranky...
It's Friday. I'm leaving work early
see you all soon!!!

Afternoon!

Decaf anyone?

Same old same old around here. The big kid is being scrubbed as I type. I don't know why or when a nine year old boy will grow out of whining about a bath every umpteen days. Seems to me that at some point he will care about his own personal hygiene habits!

The little guy is playing on the play station, happily freeing dragons and collecting treasure.

Dh had a delightful day re working the all ready re worked budget. It makes him soooooooooo happy!

I ran out for an hour and bought a couple of new books. I guess like my son and his bathing habits at some point my priorities will change and I will stop reading and do some serious de -cluttering. Perhaps our epiphanies will happen at the same time.....sigh!

My eating is wacky!

Spot! good to see you! I am glad you and the kidlets got to Disney...bet it was fun! Major hugs being sent out to your mom and you.

Well, the little guy is playing with the smilies...so I have got to scoot!

Linda~~~I know that ALG (author of fat flush) explains why the Stevia Plus instead of Stevia, but I don't think that alittle bit of maltodextrose will do any harm. Remember that she is looking at it from the "absolutely no sugars/artifical sweeteners" standpoint.
And the mini-trampoline thing is supposed to stimulate the lymph system to aide in flushing out the toxins. Which makes sense, but I'm with you, not sure if I'll be jumping around.

Am I happy it's Friday or what? I need a break from work and stress and kids! Guess what, no break from the kid, but we can't have everything, can we?

It's hot, hot, hot! I'm going to take a nice cool bath and maybe even relax a little (don't tell Tommie, she'll come bug me!!) but I wanted to get in here before the forum closed. See ya'll on the extra coop this weekend!!!

I really loved my little rebounder when I first had it and used it for quite a number of years. I don't think the bouncing caused the bladder problems but it was a no-no after my surgery.
Well, I've managed to get through breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack without salt. I'm amazed at myself.
I have worn a path in the tile and carpet to the bathroom. The name of this diet is very appropriate with FLUSH being the operative word. I just hope it's taking some fat along with it.
