Default Exercises at work for you desk jockeys?

I am slave to a cubicle all day, with the exception of having to occasionally run out to our receiving dept, back in the factory. It's the dead of winter, so walking outside at lunch is not much of an option. Do any of you ladies in similar situations have mini exercises that you do at work to get the blood pumping a bit? I read that rapid toe taps in 30 second intervals can be good, in addition to arm lifts (if you don't mind looking a little silly). I also do scissor kicks.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure if it helps (in my head it does)or not, but I flex my abs/core and hold it for 5 to 10 seconds, release and do that 50 - 100 times a day. It’s just a thought. I also heard that the balance balls are good to sit on instead of a chair, but I work in a very professional environment and can't use one at my desk. Oh, and I stretch in the elevator! lol I put my leg up on the hand rail (when I'm alone) and stretch the whole ride down. I work in a high rise....

I don't exercise while I'm at my desk, but I try to take the four flights of stairs at least twice a day. Not huge, but I think it helps.

And I wish I could sit on an a balance ball at work...just because I think it would be funny to look around the office and see everyone on them! And I know I would fall...which is always hysterical to me!

Will your office let you replace your chair with a stability ball? It's great for your core, and better for your posture and spine.

keep it old school. jumping jacks are a fast and easy way to get the blood pumping. yoga's a good bet too, not the best cardio but it'll give your body a much needed stretch. stairs are an excellent idea as well as the stability ball. jump rope??

Practice good posture. Sit all day with your back straight. Less noticable, but works wonders and strengthening your back.

I do a lot of leg extensions and tightening my core. I also squeeze the muscles in my rear, although if you have others around you, you may want to avoid that one

Sometimes I do yoga in between seeing clients. I've found it helps keep me more centered, and gives me something relatively active to do without getting sweaty and smelly.
