Default Anyone signed up for races this year?

I've started the C25k this week and I thought perhaps the best way to stick to my running program was to commit to running a 5k and maybe setting my sights a little higher later in the year like a 10k or half marathon.

So....what are YOU signed up for?

Hi! Good luck with C25k...it's what got me started as a runner!

My first year, I did three 5k's and one 10k. This year I'm looking at three half marathons and a few 10ks peppered in, just to keep me comfortable with racing. I may go on to do a full marathon in 2011.

I started c25k too! I've signed up for a race towards the end of May and another the beginning of June. I figured by signing up now I'll have extra motivation to get my butt moving, so far its working. Good luck!

I haven't registered for all of them yet, but here's the schedule (so far):
Miami half marathon in a couple of weeks, a 5K on Feb 6, A1A Ft. Lauderdale half marathon in Feb, 131 Miami Beach half in March, and a full marathon in Idaho in September. I may participate in the Palm 100 relay (100 mile relay with teams of 6) in March, if I can get on a team.

And I just signed up for Goofy 2011 (January), which is is a half plus a full marathon on two successive days .... what was I THINKING?

I'm sure there will be more, but that's a start.

my work schedule only gets published a couple of months in advance, so I can't commit too far ahead but I'm aiming for somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 5K races, one 10K in the fall, and I'm signed up for a sprint triathlon in June. If my fear of swimming makes that miserable, I'll swap over to duathlons in July and August. Good luck to everyone!

I've signed up for the Country Music half marathon (Nashville) in April and hope to do about 1 5k a month in state. I want to do the Outer Banks half marathon in November but I haven't signed up yet.

MBN...my best friend did the Goofy Challenge just a week or so ago!!! 5k on Friday, then the half on Sat, then the marathon Sunday!! She finished, but the weather was so unusually cold (and she hadn't brought the right clothes for cold weather)...she just about froze to death!!! Kudos to you...that is one insane challenge!!!!

She is going to sign the 2 of us up for some 5k's over the next couple of months and slow down to motivate me...I'll walk them mostly for now, and work in running as I can...but I really think doing the events will keep me motivated!!

I ran my first 5k in December, then another on January 1st.

I am registered for a Half Marathon relay (I will run half of a half -- 6.6 miles) in May now. Yikes!!
