I received one of those Big City Sliders as a gag gift but have found it an invaluable way to make eggs quickly. I put a double fiber english muffin in the toaster and crack an egg (white only), add a tiny dab of shredded cheese and by the time the muffin is toasted, the egg is done. It fits the muffin perfectly and is a very portable, high protein, high fiber, low fat breakfast.

Well TODAY - I woke up around 11 so I went straight to lunch, but on a normal day I generally have 2 scrambled eggs with 1tsp of franks red hot buffalo sauce. A little zest to start the day.

I had mild Italian chicken sausage, and 1/3 cup granola, 1/3 banana (sliced), and 1/4 cup sliced strawberries with 1/2 cup of 1% milk.

I've finally figured out that protein keeps me full until lunch.

I make this egg thing sometimes:

2 cups egg substitute
1 cup milk
1 cup frozen chopped bell pepper and onion blend
1 cup sliced rf sharp cheddar

Mix it all together and pour into a well-sprayed pie pan, bake for an hour or so (until the center stops wiggling) at 350. Cut into quarters and voila, four breakfasts. With a slice of Ezekiel bread toast and a little Simply Fruit spread, it keeps me going for a long time.

Another favorite is a serving of oatmeal with a tablespoon of peanut butter, some protein powder (half serving of soy protein) and a little bit of honey. Or I make protein pancakes when I have time.

I really love breakfast. Probably because that's my most carb-heavy meal of the day!

I had a honey wheat bagel (235 cals), 2 tbsp of reduced-fat peanut butter (180 cals), 2 tbsp of pomegranate and blueberry jelly (50 cals), and a red apple (110 cals.) :) Yum, yum...

I had one slice whole wheat toast, with one laughing cow wedge spread on it. I use those microsave egg cookers also- I crack open one egg, microwave 30 seconds and I've got a perfect circle of cooked egg to eat with my breakfast :)

I have the same thing almost every morning - 8 oz. V8, 8 oz. fat free milk, either special K protein plus or rice chex (chex this morning), carb master yogurt (strawberry pomegranate today), and 1 serving egg beaters (plain today)

I never get bored even though I have the same thing every morning. It's 340 calories, well balanced, and keeps me full until lunch time.

Each morning I have the same thing.

Protein Smoothie:

2 packets of flavored protein powder
3 frozen whole strawberries
1 cup of ice
3 cups of water
1 tablespoon of PB2
Vanilla & almond extracts for taste.

I haven't tired of this breakfast. It's quick, easy, and clean up is a snap.

I didn't have breakfast until 2:30 this afternoon (worked late) but it was two scrambled eggs with jalapenos, tomatoes and a bit of cheese. Plus one strawberry flax Kashi waffle - which I think are new - and are very good.

1tbs smuckers low sugar grape jelly (on the muffin) - 25cals
6oz of breyers light yougurt - 80cals
tropicana no pulp orange juice - 110cals

Total: 455 cals

Typically I don't have the orange juice but I find myself constantly below my cal target, so I added it in to see if it helps.

I don't know how you ladies function on so little for breakfast!

I woke up wicked late this morning. (still in the shower at 7:30 and suppose to be at work at 8 am :eek: ) so I grabbed one of my husband's Jimmy Dean D-light breakfast sandwiches.

I didn't get a chance to look at all the nutritional info but I believe it was egg whites with turkey sausage on a light croissant for 290 calories. I'm sure it was high in sodium but otherwise pretty tasty.

I had breakfast burritos.

I scrambled this all together:
2 whole large eggs (149)
1 egg white (14)
roma tomato chopped up (18)
green pepper chopped up (10)

After cooked, I topped with 1/8 cup cheese (59 calories)
Then I wrapped the eggs in two 8 inch tortillas (100 cal each - local brand Silva's? - so 200 for both)

450 calories total. I ate it all today but if I did it again I'll probably split it up and save the other one for the next day and add a fruit to give it some more bulk. :) I just had water.

My almost-daily breakfast:

2 slices deli ham, 48 calories
1 hardboiled egg, 78 calories
1 BabyBel light cheese, 50 calories
1 12 oz V-8 vegetable juice, 70 calories

This can hold me till 2-3 p.m. most days. It's fast and I don't have to think about it.

I had one slice of homemade wheat toast with a scrape of butter and a child's bowl (one of those melamine Monsters Inc. jobbies. The last clean bowl in the house! LOL) of Fibre One with 1% milk. Oh, and a cup of coffee with evaporated milk instead of cream. No sugar.

1 cup Kashi Mountain Medley granola (sooo good), skim milk and half a banana.

Granola is 480 cals for a cup, so I figure my breakfast might be coming in high around 600 -- but it keeps me full and I look forward to it the night before, which keeps me from snacking.

On days that I commute to work (like today) I have a 2 part breakfast because I leave the house at 7 and with the daycare drop and drive I don't usually get to my desk until 9am.

Part 1 - 7:00am
Smoothie made w/ Almond Breeze, 1/2 banana, 2T ground flaxseed and a handful of berries. Abt 180 calories.

Part 2 - 9:30am
1/2c of egg whites with spinach, onion and a touch of feta along with a slice of whole grain bread w/ 1T of jelly. Abt 240 calories.

Then I'm full until lunch around 1pm.

On the days I don't drive to work it's usually protein pancakes/waffles.

The other usual is oatmeal, but I like a lot of protein in the am.

Today: crunchy nut cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk and a banana. I wondered how long it would last me, but I made it to lunchtime without snacking (yay!).

I love some of these protein-rich ideas, they sound like they would be really filling, not to mention delicious.
