Default Love, just love zig zaging.

Good morning, just want to share positive experience with zig zaging calories method.

It was my first week on the cc and I lost 4 lb from Mon to Fri (1,100-1,000 cal / day + 3 times jogging with – 400 cal as per treadmill).

Friday night had BBQ steak with grilled vegetables and 2 slices of apple pie.
Saturday eat a big dinner with steak and mashed potatoes and 3 glasses of red wine and ice cream for desert.
Sunday, had fruits and salad, fat free yogurt and 10 rice crackers, but also had 3 glasses of red wine….and I didn’t gain any weight!!!
So happy, this zig zaging worked for me 9 years ago and it working again, I am loosing weight and have treats on weekends which helps me emotionally do not even feel like I am dieting.

Any body else have a good result with cycling calories?

so can you explain exactly how you zig zag? I've heard a few people talk about it, but it sounds scary to me lol

Sure, no problem. I need to consume 1,200 cal/day to lose weight.
1,200 cal *7 = 8,400/week
Mon – Fri I consume 1,000 cal food/day = 5,000.
I also exercise on treadmill 3 times per week and burn 400 cal*3=1,200.
My total calories “used” from Mon – Fri is 3,800(5,000 food – 1,200 cardio)

For Sat and Sun I have 4,600 to use, which is 2,300 / day.

I think a lot of ladies may not agree with me, because 1,000 cal per day is too low, but I don’t feel hungry or tired on those days, plus I take multi vitamins, so it is working for me.
Also I love to relax on Saturday and Sunday and have BBQ, a little piece of pie and my favorite “Merlot”.

I've heard of this, but I thought it was more like 2 days low, 3 days high, or something like that. I don't think I could eat like that on the weekends without sending myself back into some bad habits.

But this journey is so much about what works for each individual person.

I do cycling of calories...just started last friday and so far it seems really good. So i am on 1800 calories por day but i have broken up my calories like this:

friday : 1400
saturday : 2000
sunday : 1500
monday : 2600
tuesday: 1300
wednesday : 2200
thursday : 1800

I then plan my real heavy workout days for my high calorie days. Since friday the scales have dropped by 4.4 pounds so far so good.

How do you find out how many calories you should be eating a day? And how do you figure out how to zig zag that number for the week? I have 5'3 160lbs. Very little exercise.
