Default April Fools Challenge!

Getting fit is no joke! Do you want to feel confident in your spring clothes as soon as that 70 degree weather rolls in? Do you want to go into summer feeling and looking great? If so, join me in this April Fools Challenge!

Participate any way you like with whatever goals you may have.

My Goals/Plan:
Sport shorts & tanks with no shame by losing 12lbs and toning up.
Work out 5x per week, including running and workout videos
Eat healthier with NO FAST FOOD!!!!
Weigh in each Sunday
Take bi-weekly measurements

I haven't weighted in since before the holidays so I'll be updating my ticker Sunday morning with my correct (and most likely higher) current weight.

Good luck ladies!

I would love to join...

I plan on working out at least 6 days a week but honestly I shoot for at least an hour of cardio everyday
I also want to be into onderland by then I'm starting at 229... 29 pounds in 12 seems doable... I think
Also to weigh in every sunday and actually post it

drinking water and eating healthier, some ab work and just being more active. Oh and smiling while i'm doing it!!!

My starting weight --245...any weight loss would be good for me.

Haley: what is onderland?

Welcome Veronica, Haley and Kristea! Your plans and goals all sound great!

Veronica ~ How far are you in C25K? I got to the end of week 5 before leaving for a vacation back in November then fell completely off the wagon. I'm hoping to get back to it soon - I just have to coordinate my run time with when my DH is home to watch our LO.

Haley - Onderland is SOOO yours!

Kristea - How do you like wii Active? I've been considering buying it but haven't yet. I have Wii Fit but I really couldn't tell much from it. Maybe the Fit Plus that recently came out would be better?

Thanks Amy! I havnt started C25K yet. Im going to start Monday. Ive started jogging/running on my own the last month or so and got up to 15 mins once and then 20 mins the next day but for some reason cant make it hardly past 5 mins the last few times Ive tried. I figured this would be a better way to ease into it. The program actually scares me...I hope I can do it!

Haley you can totally get to onderland girl! =)

Kristea, taebo is really fun! I did it once or so when I was in highschool. Im not a very good kicker though! lol Onederland is being in the 100's which I think is what everyone in the 200's dreams of! hehe

Amy--I love the wii active! I don't have wii fit so i can't compare it. But i really like it. You can do it by your self are with a partner. But you don't have to buy another leg strap me an my daughter us a ace bandage works great. You can design your own work out. Have you seen the new one called 'Shape'?
That one looks pretty neat you don't have to hold any controls so you can use your own weights etc.

Veronica--Oh i'm not a good kicker either. Believe me it is comical but I like it and I can so feel it. Oh yeah I would love to go to onderland!! Your right that is all our dreams.

Haley--now that I know what onderland is..You are sooo there..you got this..can you see the finish line?

Hi ladies! I'm restarting Weight Watchers after a nearly 2-year absence (yes I put my 15 lbs loss back on ). I remember these forums being way better than the official WW ones, so it's good to be back! I've been looking for a good short-term challenge, and it looks like this one will fit the bill...I'd like to lose 20 lbs by April 1st.

The changes I'm making this time around include starting my exercise program right off (rather than waiting until a month or two in) and staying away from those frozen meals -- I'm focusing on nutrition above all else with my food!

I'll put up more about me later, but for now: I'm married, one 16-yr-old son, and two stepsons in their twenties, my DH is very supportive, and I'm going to be 50 this year! Ack!

I hope it's not too late to join!

I'd love to join in. I've fallen off the wagon again and need to get my behind in gear. I'm doing Weight Watchers it seems to work for me. I'll work out at least 5 days a week and eat right. I want to lose 20lbs by April 1st.

Welcome Lizzie and Keeperofthehome!

This weekend has not been so easy for me... we had two unexpected dinners out so my diet temporarily went out the window... but i did do tons and tons of walking yesterday as my MIL and I went shopping. I'm officially starting my running program back today soon as DH gets back home from running errands. I hope to run 2-3 days a week but unfortunately that is dependent on DH being home to watch the LO before it gets dark outside. I wish I were a morning person and could get my run in early before LO rises, but I don't see that happening. I hope everyone else has had a better OP weekend than I have!

I'd like to join in. My birthday is in April, so I have a personal goal for that and an April 1 Challenge should help to keep me on track for that. My other goals are 1200-1500 calories a day, minimum 20 minutes of activity (on active days, I'm usually longer than that, but on the days I don't want to do anything, telling myself that it's "just 20 minutes" can help! lol!) and at least 10 glasses of water.

I do my official weigh on on Mondays, so I'll be back tomorrow to post my starting weight.

April 1 Challenge

Welcome PeanutsMom and VickieLou!

I just came in from my run/walk - went 2.5miles and feel better that I've finally started back! I came to the conclusion that I need to restart C25K to rebuild my endurance - I lost all that I had built up last fall.

I also just realized that I forgot to weigh myself this morning so I'll do it tomorrow!

PeanutsMom - I know what you're talking about with the 20min thing - I tell myself the same thing. I have some workout videos that can really kick my butt that are only 20 minutes long... 20 min out of an entire day is not that bad! lol
