Wink New Year, New ME

New here, I have spent the day preparing. Pulled out my old WW stuff from a couple years ago. Cried when I saw that I am 15 pounds heavier today then I was at last meeting. But that is in the past. I checked out all the great recipes you guys have posted - thank you. Tried the cheeseburger and fries one - was great but portion sizes are a big problem for me. My biggest concerns are my excuses... working full time, young family, tight budget, going back to school - night classes and what do you eat. So now that I have excuses out of the way time to wove on. Because I am doing this all at home, I am so thankful for this web and look forward to losing weight with everyone.

Weighing in today @ 195

Hello! Welcome! I've tried every diet out there and did South Beach for a couple months the end of 2009. I did lost about 15 pounds, but easily gained it back over the holidays! I decided that SBD isn't for me because I miss my potatoes and bread way to much, which causes cheating... so I've decided to come back to WW for 2010! I've done the program before with great success and am ready to do it again!!

This message board is a wonderful resource - and I encourage you to look for some updated WW "rules" if you haven't done the plan in a couple years. The general principal is the same though!

Good luck - let's do it!

Hi and welcome to the site. This is a great site for tips and motivation. I started WW (for the second time) today as well. I lost 20 pounds last year on WW but got lazy and have gained half of it back.

Good luck to both of you with the program!!

I was bad today. I know 3 days on and already falling off. Had Big N Tasty at McDonald's. Ate all the fries yiks, ate the burger, no cheese and only the top bun no bottom (not sure if it helped), and a root beer. working now on figuring out how bad. YIKS

mhosner,
Day three is always hardest for me when I have been off program for a while. Count your points, record them and you'll be fine. Sometimes it is not as bad as it seems. Learning how to recover from bad choices is key to success in my opinion.
You can do it!

Thanks – I did much better yesterday, I even got a workout in. So today feeling pretty good. Because I am a life long scale slave I weighed in this morning and things look pretty good. Trying not to get excited until Monday when I weigh for real. Weekends are my hardest. I am a boredom eater and when I am home all day with the kids, I eat. Trying to find some good snacks to keep my mouth busy for this weekend.

All together today I did 90 mins on the bike. I hope that helps reduce the week-end damage. Between boredom eating, AF, and stress of school starting back up - I am worried Monday wont be as good as I hope. i would really like to see 2 pounds at least gone, and keep them off.

60 min bike workout. Did better tonight on my points, just feeling hungry. How do you figure out the points for protein shakes? I think I need one.

Week 2 weigh in 189.4 --- means 3.2 pounds lost week 2 and a total of 6.1 overall. Hoping to keep this pace up.

Congrats! 6 lbs. overall for 2 weeks is great! Do you enjoy the biking? If you can find activity that you enjoy it makes all the difference. I started Zumba and I LOVE it. I want to go all the time!
