WW Clubs and Groups - Thursday Weigh-In Results for January, 2010
Please come here and post your weekly scale results.
I believe we are all psyched up for the new year.
Like Tammy, I'll probably change my tracker. :)
01-03-2010, 09:29 PM
Well, I know that I won't be weighing till I get home. When Bob and I came down a couple years ago, I brought the bathroom scales with me. Didn't think about it this year.
01-04-2010, 08:50 PM
No change for this week same weight as Dec 14, the last time I made it to a meeting.
Mimi, No Change is good after the holidays!
Tomorrow is the first Thursday of the month. Yea! :)
I was going to a meeting but with this horrible weather, it'll have to wait until next week. I shall weigh on my scales.
Good luck to everyone.
01-06-2010, 11:46 PM
I will pretend that I weighed, and I didn't gain 10 pounds on the trip. HOw's that?
01-07-2010, 08:03 AM
Hi! Took a peek! I weigh in on Sundays so it's only been 4 days, so I'm hoping for a smidgen more by then.
But.................Since Sunday I lost 1# 8 oz.! I am honored (wooohooo, jumping up and down and patting myself on the big ol' back) to take it!!!
Good Luck everyone!
:bravo: Jeanne, what a great way to start the day----great loss!!!
(i'm going to a WW meeting because the frigid weather isn't coming until noonish.)
I went to WW and weighed but didn't stay for the meeting. Oh, I bought a box of chocolate Smoothie mix. One packet equals 1 pt. You get 2 milk servings when you prepare it with a cup of milk.
I've changed my tracker. I'm breaking it down into little increments.
Good luck to everyone.
01-07-2010, 03:56 PM
Today was my first official weigh in. I weighed in at a lovely 189.6 which still puts me lower than my highest weight ever (194).
01-07-2010, 08:13 PM
The meeting was really good the other night, and she was going into lots of details about the tacker and diary (lots of which is new). We also got a smple of a chocolate snack bar. Nice but wooo so expensive.
Mimi, exactly what did she say about liquids? I couldn't stay for the meeting today.
01-08-2010, 02:52 PM
Not sure if she mentioned anything about liquids. They always are encouraging you to drink liquids, and she was mentioning the liquid portion of the tracker.
The new literature says all liquids count. tea, coffee, milk, juice, and of course water.
01-09-2010, 07:16 AM
Tina - I just bought the 1 Point smoothie mix in chocolate too! When you sign up on line the site has a store and I placed a rather large order. It took about 3 days to get it! I also got the pizza flavored pretzel chips, 1 point mini bars, 2 point snack bars and the cappaucino cream candies. I love having access to that!
Mimi - thanks for the info on the liquids! I have really been drinking my water. But it sure helps to know that my coffee and tea counts.
Tomorrow is my official WI! :^:
01-10-2010, 08:24 AM
:bravo: Jeanne, what a great loss!!!!
01-10-2010, 08:03 PM

Good luck to everyone this week. Be sure to post.
01-14-2010, 04:26 PM
Thats great Tina. Why not all the time?? Imperfection....the human condition.
01-15-2010, 11:21 AM
Well, I did my first Weigh in at WW yesterday. Starting at 250 lbs. :fr: Plan to stay on points and start back to walking. Looking forward to seeing a smaller number next week! I can do it!
01-15-2010, 02:45 PM
Good job to all the losers!
Today was my first day back to the Y, it was weigh in day. I debated on whether to do it or not. I did. Drumroll please! I gained .4!!! I was shocked and happy that it wasn't a larger gain after the 3 weeks being gone.

01-19-2010, 03:49 PM
Congratulations Jeane! :woohoo:
Way to go Mimi on 10%! Go Mimi! :cheer3:
I know I have lost and my official weigh-in is Thursday at 4:00p, but I weighed in on Sunday and had lost 4lbs, then I weigh yesterday and I had only lost 3lbs and then this morning, I had only lost 2.5 lbs. I stayed in points Saturday, Sunday and yesterday. I know we can fluctuate and we're not supposed to weigh each day, but that was kinda depressing to see it go up and I've stayed in points and exercised Saturday and Monday.
I'm trying not to be sad, just staying on target. Most of the time, I'm not hungry and I keep some points in the evening, so I can have a healthy snack later, like fruit or yogurt and cereal.
Anyway, congrats everyone!
01-21-2010, 08:19 AM
Donna, good luck at weigh in this afternoon. I know it is disappointing to see the number go up and down. Remember though that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. I have to keep reminding myself of that same thing.
I am down 2 pounds this morning from when I weighed last Friday. Very pleased. Back into the routine after being gone and not exercising for a month. The official weigh in at the Y is next week, so I hope to be down a bit more by then if I keep exercising and journaling.
01-21-2010, 09:02 AM
Woooohoooo Good job Tammy!:carrot:

Last Thursday at my weigh-in I was down 3.8#'s! Woo-hoo! I go back tomorrow afternoon. I've walked 4x's in the last week for 30 minutes each, I keep inching up the exercise, at least my legs don't hurt like last week.
01-27-2010, 01:05 PM
Great News ex. keep up the walking it really does help a lot for physical and mental health

Good luck to us all this week. :)
01-27-2010, 03:43 PM

01-27-2010, 05:28 PM
That is great about getting all that walking in Donna! I'm sure you'll see another loss this week!
Like Tina said, good luck!!
Good news----NO Gain
No loss, either. Oh well. Next Week.
01-28-2010, 10:11 PM
Hi. Down 1# so far. But technically I have till Sunday! haha!:carrot:
01-29-2010, 09:20 AM
Good for no gain Tina!
Jeanne, keep it up.
My at home weigh in yesterday was no gain, no loss. Supposed to weigh at the Y this morning. I have a headache and sinus ick going on. My knee is killing me from running on Wed. I'd rather just crawl back in bed.
Tammy, good for no gain! I think you should crawl back into bed. Do not keep aggravating that knee. It will take longer to heal.
01-30-2010, 10:06 AM
weighed this morning and down 3#. i know thats alot but im really discouraged bc i worked REALLY hard this week!!! I guess its not "The biggest loser" and 14 lbs in a week is really not realistic lol..........im gonna keep going!!!! ugh its gonna take sooo long to get this weight off! sorry ladies for bein a negative nancy this morning lol.
congrats to all you ladies this week!!!
01-30-2010, 11:38 AM
Tina, I went to the Y, but I did not overdo it at all.
Nikki, 3 pounds is awesome! No, we are definitely not going to have the Biggest Loser losses, that's for sure. I can understand wanting it to be off NOW because that's the way I am. It is taking me forever to lose what I want, but I just keep working at it. You are young, so get it off now when it is easier. don't wait like I did.
01-30-2010, 12:01 PM
does it ever get easier??? lol yesterday and today have been real hard fo rme for some reason. I need to start working out whether i like it or not! lol my goal is to average 2 lbs a wk........but lets see how that goes.
NIkki, Congratulations on that great loss!!!
2 lb. a week is the realistic goal loss. It is not healthy to lose say 15 pounds in one week. It just isn't!
Yes, it will get easier. And, you will get used to the healthier eating of WW.
I'm like Tammy in that it takes us longer to get our metabolism going to get the pounds off.
I've been taking off and putting back on the same pounds for ever.....until now and I'm finally get rid of them.
01-30-2010, 01:32 PM
Nikki - thats a great loss! You keep it up and you'll be there in no time!
I WI and lost another pound. Thats 2 this week! :carrot: My total is 15# in 5 weeks. So 15# in another 5 weeks, I'll be at 30#~~~~~ woohooo! :carrot:
01-30-2010, 04:24 PM
Nik: thats a great loss, and no biggest loser isn't realistic for anyone in the real world. They are exercising up to 8 hours every day with the added incentive of winning money we live in the real world.
I will be 60 in 3 years, if I keep eating right and trying hard to keep in points, and exercising I WILL be smaller.
I will be 60 in 3 years, if I eat indulgently and stop exercising I WILL be bigger that is if I actually make it to 60.
Which sounds better to you? time passes the same whether we try or not, and it Is easier when you are younger. 2 pounds a week is a great goal!!
Congratulations to all of us Losers!
01-30-2010, 07:42 PM
Nikki, I do think it gets easier. I always seem to have setbacks, but then I wake up one day and I'm back on target. We both live in Ohio, just come on over and you can go to class with me at the Y. lol
Jeanne, 15 pounds is great!
Marion, I like the way you put 2 different ways you could be in 3 years. That's a great way to look at it. I turn 55 the week before Tim's wedding in May, and even if I haven't lost the weight that I wanted to lose, I know that I am smaller than I was. The exercising has really helped keep me on target.
02-01-2010, 09:11 AM
I realized this morning that I didn't post my Y weigh in from Friday. I think this sinus yuck is getting to my brain. I lost a pound, so I moved my butterfly a notch. Hoping to get to that 20 by May 15, Tim's wedding. I may have to have the dress altered if I do, but that's ok!!
:bravo: Tammy!!!! You are going to be soooo skinny by the wedding.
I'm counting on an invitation so I can see you. :)
Go to the new February Weigh-In Results thread.
Do not post here now.
