I have been a member of this forum before and have started and stopped a few times. I'd like to try again and get back on track to being in better health. I have about 40 pounds I'd like to lose after maintaining a 50 pound loss for about 3 years, but my weight is creeping back up and it's time to get with the program again!!!
I am a mom of 6 kids who works 30 hours a week and I tend to allow the rush of life to interfere with being healthy. I give to everyone and that means nothing is left for me in the end all too often. I have to figure out how to eat right even with all the kids' temptations staring me in the face and exercise even when I am too tired. Sounds easy enough right? LOL!!!
I hope to find lots of support and motivation here to keep me going!
Woooow, six kids and a job!? My hat goes off - swhooossshh. I really don't fathm how you find the time - you should be very proud of yourself You're right about prioritizing tho - you need to stay healthy in order to give back to those around you
Thank you for the welcome. It's hard to balance so many things in life at the same time, but you are right...I can't give to those that depend on me if I have nothing left to give because I neglect myself so much. So that is my goal, to do all the right things to get healthy...not just lose weight fast because it's really about so much more!

You certainly have your hands full - you're right about taking care of everything and everybody but ourselves - I'm sure you'll be successful in your desire for healthier you - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.
Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a great additional to any of them. There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.
There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.
I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.
So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
