Can anybody here say that the number for their weight on their driver's license is accurate?

I lied on the license I got when I was 16 (I wasn't even overweight).

I caught a glimpse of my driver's license today and realized that I am under the weight posted on that little piece of plastic.

It is time to go to the DMV and get a new much lower number put on there.

Congrats! I'm a liar too :) I'm originally from NY where weight is not on the license. When I moved to Illinois it was a bit of a shock. Of course I lied...I said 210 (I was much closer to 270 at that point). I just realized that I'm actually below my listed weight too. It's a freakin' fantastic feeling! My license is up for renewal in May and it's my motivation to keep going. I want that darn number to be much closer to my goal & I really think it will be crazy having it be accurate, lol.

Mine says that I weigh 230, but I really weigh 196. I weighed 269 when I got it! One of the first things I'll do when I hit goal is get a new license with my true weight on it for the first time!

My license says 200 I got in Feb09. But I was 220 and 7mnths pregnant so I figured I would be 200 after delivery. I was 237 after delivery.
I am now 193 and will be happy to get a new license with a lower weight. woohoo!

My high school one said 165 when I was actually about 180 at the time. Then it said 200 when I was actually 250. Now it says 250 and I'm over 300. It will be nice to go lower than that, and keep marching on.

Yup, I now weigh about 135, but my license still says 160, which for a long time was well below my real weight

yeah, plus here in Cali the DMV changes it....

When I first got my license at 19 I weighed 118 and that went on my license.

When I renewed it, they made it 130. Next renewal 145. None of which is remotely true now, but still lol. Never did anyone at the DMV ask for an update, it was simply changed as they saw fit lol.

tiggergirl, how strange. They've never changed mine.

Mine still says 155, which is what it said when I got my license at age 16 (32 years ago!). My weight hasn't been close to that for over 20 years, and until just recently it was off by about 90 pounds. Only once over all those years did anyone at the DMV ask me if the weight was the same. I looked him in the eyes and said steadily, "Close enough." I think my expression was enough to keep him from asking any more questions!

I was so excited to check mine (for my weight 3 years ago!) and track my progress, but PA doesn't report weight. Ah, well. I definitely lied about my height, though... ;)

When I first got my license I think it said I was 125 which was true but on my renewal it said 160 but I was pregnant and was really 200 or so at the time and they asked me what I thought I would be after delivery.

It still says 160, they never asked at the next renewal and I never pointed it out that the weight was wrong.

Now I could go get it lowered!

Mine said 120 since 1981. I could change it to reflect my lower weight now but I figure it kind of evens out in the end. Sometimes I weighed alot more and sometimes I weighed less............besides its really not any nosey clerks business....

I think I have you all beat. Mine still says 160. The same as when it was issued in 1993. And it was a lie in '93! The lie just got bigger with each passing year.

Mine said 140 until last April. When I got a new liscense in 4/2000 I wasn't sure what I weighed but I knew I was way under the 200 of my previous license. I had a dr appt shortly after getting it and I was 128 ~ so I lied :)

I got a new license on 4/2009 my old weight was still 140 from 2000. I changed it to 160. The guy at the counter asked if I really wanted to change it to one 160! He said ladies never change it!I was really 170's (so I lied!).

Now I'm really lying because I'm 193.4! I hope to not be lying about the 160 in a few months :)

Mine says I am 40 pounds heavier than I actually am. And of course at that time I was probably at least 20 pounds heavier then I said. The whole thing is a lie.

Mine still says 125, from when I was 15 years old. I have never changed it, but I'm not fooling anyone. I don't plan on changing it either! :)

Mine still says 170 same as it did when I was 17. Nobody has ever even asked me if it was still accurate. Of course they haven't changed my picture since 2001 either... I guess the IL DMV isn't too concerned with accuracy on liscenses.

 on the height thing.
I got my state ID updated this June (it expires every 4 years). I weighed 190 but was embarrassed so I put 175. Now I weigh 154! The gosh darn thing was never really right, I guess. But since I JUST updated it it seems kind of silly to get a new one just for a new weight when I reach goal. Well, we'll see.

heheheh. Mine is my goal weight. I remember when I updated it after I got married (in 2001) and I put 180. The lady goes "that's the weight you want me to put down?"....yeah-come on, lady!
I am SUCH a liar!

This thread is too funny. I know anytime anyone asked me what my weight was, I'd shave at least 20-25 lbs off. I still wouldn't give my real weight but at least it would be closer to what I really want.

I have never had to put a weight on my driving license!
My height, on the other hand - if you let me self-report, I am putting 5'4", darnit. That's right. F-i-v-e-f-o-u-r! I choose 5'4" because it is sooo close to average, I think I am getting away with it.

If I have to report my weight in Texas, now THAT is motivation.

I can't wait to put my real weight on my driver's license and be proud of it. Instead of stretching the truth (quite a bit lol).

My license still says 115 from when I was 16. I turn 40 this year and am at 231 today. I think I will leave it for awhile until I can put 150. I would feel alot more comfortable with that especially when my friend work at the DMV and would know my (over)weight. lol

I love this thread!! Hadn't thougth about it a long time, but I've always put less on it than I really weighed. I just looked at my license, and it actually has my weight as more than I weigh now. Don't think that's ever happened to me before  :cheer2: :carrot:

My license says ht: 5'7" and wt: 160. I renew it when I turn 21. I currently weight 179/180 and my height now is 5'8". I am hoping to reach my goal weight of 130 by my 19th birthday in August and have 2 years of maintenance under my belt when I turn 21. That's an exciting long-term goal, which reflects my intention of maintenance. And it's kind of cool that the first ID I have that I can legitimately order alcohol on will portray my new lifestyle!!!

I just filled mine out a week ago. I put 150, well because I've always put 150. Because I've always hovered around 150. And then, at the doctors office that 200.9 hit me like a cast iron skillet to the face.

I'm working towards that 150 now. We'll see how long it takes to get there.

Mine says 130 and has said that since I was 16.. yet even when I was 16 I didn't weigh 130 lol. In all the times I've renewed or gotten new licenses they have never, ever asked for an update or changed it. I still need to get my new Cali license but I'm waiting until my weight goes down since I don't think I can lie anymore about being 130. :o

Hehe mine says 210 =O....I got it when I was 230 because I lost my other licenses...I moved states a few months back so I do have the paperwork filled out for a new one...On it I listed 180 :o....I think we're expected to lie... ;)

Mine said 150 when I was 15. That was a lie. I must've been getting close to 200, but 150 was the absolute highest acceptable weight in my mind so that's what I put.

They'd renew it and renew it and never change the weight and when I hit 287 I finally said, "Can we change my weight? It was a little white lie when I was 15, but it's just ridiculous now."

My DH says that everyone in the waiting area heard me and laughed. :)

She asked my weight and I just said, "Let's call it 237, shall we?" because of course I was gonna lose those 50 pounds in no time...yeah, you see my starting weight... :o

I was so thrilled to finally be lying about my weight in the other direction. It's crazy to see the pic, the weight, and the real me...it just doesn't add up!

It's gonna be a glorious day when I can renew it and put that 150 back on there, guilt free. :)
