I will be headed tomorrow to get my hair cut and I was wanting some opinions.

As some of you may have read in my Thin Hair thread in the Looking Good, Feeling Great forums, I do have very thin hair on top. That said, I have chosen a couple pics that I like and am thinking of getting done, here they are

I think they're both cute, and that you would look great with bangs. Good luck tomorrow

I love the second one... I think all the layers would help make your hair funky and more fun... also would help since your hair is thin...

both looks nice the first one is a sweet girl look and the second one is....is....idk lol but I would choose the second one i like the choppy layers plus they can give more volume to your hair cause you have thin hair on top i got some short layers on top of my hair to get some volume but don't get much volume up there unless i blow dry it a certian way

how fun for christmas, a new do! yay! i vote for the 2nd one, i think choppy layers like that would hide any tiny imperfections and looks easy to maintain, choppier do's don't have to be perfectly arranged all the time ~ can't wait to see the pix!

I vote for the 2nd one too--are you also dyeing your hair, or was that just the color the models were wearing?

Onederchic
12-13-2009, 07:46 PM
No, my bf would flip if I dyed my hair blond, though I have been thinking of going a lighter brown..dark brown/blackish is my natural hair color but I have been thinking maybe my scalp wouldn't be so noticeable with a lighter brown but I am not sure :|

I think the 1st one would look Awesome on you onderchick! I'm so thrilled that you are actually venturing out to get yourself a new holiday hairdo, you will look smashing whichever cut you choose! With the new do, you will feel Sexy & Shiek young lady! A new you, certainly deserves a new do! Can't wait to see the final cut photo.

I like them both! Be sure to get your hair dresser's opinion too about what will work best for your hair texture, density, and thickness.

P.S. - Styling products make a bg difference too, especially with short hairdos. So get their opinion on that too!

I like the second one. I think it would look great on you. I've done the choppy look before. If you do decide to go choppy you'll want some pomade and some spray gel - I found that to be the easiest way to get the choppy look going right - a little pomade run though it on my hands while it was still slightly damp and then some spray gel and a lot of head shaking. Have you thought of maybe some lighter brown or even reddish highlights? Highlights go really well in choppy haircuts and can add visual depth to thin hair and help make it look fuller.

I guess Ill be the odd ball.. I like the first!!

BTW - hubby says of those 2 he thinks the first would look best on you, but that he thinks you'd look really cute with a cut like Alice in Twilight or Daphne in Heroes.

Have you considered highlights?? I like both of the styles! Very cute! I agree with CLCSC145--ask your hair dresser's opinion. I recently got my hair cut & highlighted--I asked my hair dresser's opinion on everything. I told her what I had in mind and showed her a couple pics, but then I asked her if it would work with my shape of face..the thickness & texture of my hair...if it would make my face look fatter (lol)...I asked her opinion on the color of my highlights. Its the most I've ever discussed what I wanted with my hair dresser...and guess what--it's the most I've ever LOVED how my hair turned out!! :)

I haven't considered highlights but I have been thinking of going a lighter brown but I will be sure to discuss with the stylist everything and hopefully it'll all work out for the best. Thanks so much :D

Good for you! It really, really helped to cut my hair. It looks so much thicker without the weight dragging it down, and aside from that, it felt so liberating to get rid of my long hair, which I was hanging onto, because for so long in my old, fatter life, it was the only thing I liked about my appearance, so it was devastating for me to lose so much of it as I lost weight. Cutting it shorter felt like a major step on the road to thinking of myself as a thin(ner) person.
