Featherweights - 11 days to lose 4.4 lbs by Christmas?
Robsia

So, the last few weeks I have been hovering between 140 and 145. There'd be a party and it would go on, I'd lose a bit and then there would be another party etc etc.
I kept saying I want to get to 140 by Christmas and after CHristmas the real work would begin to get back to 130.
But it's 12 days to go and I was 144.4 this morning! I even managed to do 3 runs this week.
So this is my last ditch attempt to get to that 140 by Christmas morning. It might even be back to 145 by tomorrow morning, in which case it'll be 5 lb in 11 days.
Starting tomorrow I am going to strictly put here my daily food intake and keep it below 1300 - hopefully I should hit it, or at least see how close I can get by 25/12.
Anyone else still have a Christmas goal they haven't met yet?
ETA: I just saw that my ticker still says the 134.4 I was the last time I came here. OMG - how have I put on 10 lb since then?? I am such a pig.

Robsia, just remember that if you go under 1200 calories a day, your body will go into starvation mode and hang onto every calorie it can... making it even harder to lose weight.
If you wanna get as close as you can to 140 by Christmas, go for it! 1300 calories a day sounds good. Just don't starve yourself or anything like that... you'll just regain the weight anyway when you go back to eating normally, and what good is that?

Wow, that's a steep order -- but you can do it! Just don't go off-plan, keep working out, and remember: even if you don't make it to 140, just by not gaining, you're doing better than 99% of all Americans! ;)

Love this lackadaisy! I'm at least going to try not to gain, but I'd like to lose too! This time of year is just so hard!!!

Well, I'm not American - lol - but thanks anyway.
Oh God - this morning it was up to 145.4 - highest weight for a LONG time.
Just under three months ago I had the Depo-provera shot and I'm wondering if that had something to do with it, as I was doing quite well before that - even if I was a bit naughty it came off quite easily - but I am really struggling this time.
I'm due to have it again next Tuesday and I might tell them to put another Mirena coil in - I had to have the last one removed as it had got displaced hence trying out the shot for the first time. They did say there was a strong possibility of putting on weight.
Anyway, here we go.
Day 1/11
Weight: 145.4
Lost: 0
To lose: 5.4
Exercise: 3 mile run
I'll post my daily food at the end of each day.

Robsia - wow, that's aggressive - but in the last 6 days I've swung 5 pounds. Turns out I have a sensitivity to an artificial color (don't know which one yet) that can add 4 pounds of water overnight. So ... why not? As long as those 1300 calories are nice and clean ... you go, girl! Me, I'm just going to steer clear of the M&M's and anything else that looks unnaturally tasty!

Well, I managed my 3 mile - it was touch and go though.
My mum has broken her arm and can't drive, and my dad doesn't drive, so I was going to go to their house, leave my daughter, do my run, and then take them to the shops. But when I got there it was raining heavily and although I have run in the rain, I prefer not to.
So we decided to go to the shops first and see what it was doing when we came back and - yay - it had stopped raining! So I did my run, not my best time, but not bad either.
Doing OK for food so far - had a couple of v. small cookies (37 cals each) but the rest has been good.

How'd I miss this thread?!? I have not been doing well. I'm snacky, just plain eating anything in sight! Despite what it says over there <<<< I was 136 and change this morning.
If I can dump some water weight (I've been eating too much popcorn) by Saturday morning, I might amend this but ... from this starting point ... I'd like to see 132 by Christmas.
We don't really have any celebrations until the 26th. It shouldn't be all that hard to do.

Robsia - just remembered something from my radical nutrition education phase a few years back. The most nutritionally sound "crash" diet I ever did was the Ultrasimple Diet by Dr. Mark Hyman. It's a tiny little paperback. Be forewarned ... it AIN'T simple, it's expensive to buy the food, but it is very, very sound. Back in the day, I lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks from a borderline-overweight 162. The first 5 days, 8 lbs.
Remarkable results. However, I was not ready to commit to eating THAT well forever (hadn't done the head-homework), and yep, I did put the weight back on. The knowledge stayed with me though, and it's the foundation of how I eat these days.

Yesterday i made some unhealthy food choices due to skipping breakfast and feeling so starved that i ordered the first thing that looked good on the menu rather than think about it for a minute. oh well!
Today i had an egg and a slice of toast for breakfast, a huge salad and this Turkish flat bread/meat thing for lunch. And made pho for dinner. mmmm!

I had a bit of a slip yesterday - one of my choir girls gave me a Terry's Chocolate Orange and I pigged the better part of it - although I did save some for my fiancé.

I decide today that I going to record my last WI which was yesterday 146.2 and I not going to WI any more for the rest of the year until January 9 , I know is going to be hard , I will tell my DH to hind the scale for me.
I going to be very busy ... Getting up early and going late to bet , I don't if I am the only but my weight go crazy if I do not rest well.
I will keep counting my points , drinking my water and doing exercise.I am not going off on plan , I just don't want to going crazy whit my scale fluctacion.
I choose january 9 that way I have 1 week to flush the extra salt ... water retencion .

Well, I made it to 143 on Christmas Eve and I didn't weigh myself on Christmas Day. So didn't lose the 4.4, but I did lose 2.4, so at least I didn't go up.
I went out for a 3 mile run today and beat my previous PB of 26.59 by an amazing 18 seconds - I have never even come close to beating it for ages, so to do it in 26.41 was amazing. Must have been all that Christmas chocolate giving me energy!!
We do have some goodies left over but I shall try to be sparing with them and generous so that everyone else eats them instead of me, so hopefully I will be starting 2010 at a reasonable weight to lose that last 10 pounds or so!!
