Hello There! I have over 100 lbs to lose.

I've dropped 12 already on my own combination of Atkins and Protein Power.

I'm finding that the longer I continue on it - the harder it is getting to stick to it (just feel overloaded on meat and eggs)

I would really like to find someone who has done either of the above plans and then switched to Sugar Busters or vice versa!

I am trying to decide whether SB would be a better fit for me as a program that I could follow for ** the long haul**.

Any suggestions or advice from low carb veterans is greatly appreciated.

Do you all have a thread of success stories (sorry if it's here and I couldn't find it!)
Of course, I am worried that switching may cause my loss rate to fall. ( I know that could happen regardless!)

Anyway.............again, all words of advice are greatly appreciated.

Hey Terri,
Glad to have you drop by our little corner of the board!
First let me clarify a long misunderstood subject. SUGAR BUSTER'S
is not a low carb WOE. We eat a lower fat, no white stuff (sugar, flour etc..) plus we can have fruit and grains.
Why this eating plan is catorgorized with the low carb plans, I will never know.
Please drop on over to the the main weekly board. We have some really good people on our board. A few of which have done ATKINS and I'm sure you can find a PP follower or two..

HELP! I started Sugar Busters, read the book, got other books from library like Brennans cook book, and a book on how to be successful on low carb diets....I understand that Sugar Busters is not low carb, but information about SB was included in this book.

I am a WW veteran of more years than I care to admit. I am continuing to attend WW and do SB. I went to weigh in on Monday and lost 4 pounds, the most I have ever lost...excited just barely describes how I felt. Two days later, right back where I started.

I am being very careful...doing the right things, but I find that my weight is fluctuating throughout the day by as many as 6 pounds. I even had to not eat anything to maintain my morninig weight on Monday so that when I weighed in on Monday evening, my 4 pound loss showed up.

I am getting very frustrated, I can't continue to not eat on weigh in day and then have gained it back over and over. Has anyone had this experience, what should I do. I really thought I had finally found something that works, but now I'm not so sure and I am ready to give up.

PLEASE HELP!

I tried Adkins but don't really like eggs and meat for breakfast too much so I was ready to retch at the sight of another cheese omelet by day 4. Tried using the Adkins bars for breakfast instead which helped for a few days till i got completely sick of them, and they are quite expensive.

I read protein power - it didn't really interest me.

Ended up with Sugar Busters. So when people ask me what I'm doing I say I do Sugar Busters with Adkins leanings

What I mean by the "adkins leanings" part is that if I eat too much of the legal grain/bread/cereals I find that I'm hungry and don't loose.

So I "do" Sugar Busters (which seems saner and healthier) but only allow myself one serving of "legal" grain products such as a bowl of cereal or bread per day.

I don't eat the whole wheat pasta because I am a former "pasta addict" and have always said that pasta makes me hungry, even before I ever heard of this low-carb stuff!

Best Regards
