Hello All!
I am obviously new to this forum but was really excited to find it! I am 24 years old and I have been heavy all my life. Recently something clicked in me and I realized if I didn't stop abusing my body and learn to love myself I would never reach my goals socially & professionaly. I currently weigh 242 pounds which is the heaviest I have ever been.
I not using any brand name diets, I am simply counting calories and watching my intake of sugar & trans fats. I am also reading up on % Daily Values etc. as I have never paid attention to those things.
For exercise I recently purchased a Wii Fit Plus and I am really enjoying it! I also walk with my dogs when the weather permits.
I would like to get down to around 150 pounds eventually.
I am hoping that sharing stories with others who are battling with these issues will help me to keep going even on those dark days... (i.e. birthday partys at work
)
Any advice or support will be so greatly appreciated.
