Rough week for me last week, I started strong and by Wed, it was going very, very badly...no exercise from Wed on, no discipline, nothing...and going into a holiday week too

But now we're at a new week, another chance to make a fresh start, and lots of things to be thankful for. I'm confident I can maintain for this week, then I'll try to drop this week's gain next week. If I can end this challenge at 242, I'll be happy. Not what I wanted to do, but better than where I started...

I had a small loss this week, but I'm fine with it. I knew things may slow down a bit near goal and I had a couple treats along the way. Glad to be in week 11 though. I REALLY have put thought into doing well this week. I have done the mentla rehearsing..ya know, not taking seconds, splitting the treat things I plan to have with DH, and eating slooooowly so I can savor the flavors and still be eating while everyone else is. Anyone else have some good techniques?

Well I posted earlier and it did not show up. I even checked to make sure I did not post on last weeks and It is not there either. Anyway I was down a pound this morning!!! I know compared to most of you that is nothing but for the past 10 weeks I have been struggling to loose anything so one pound is great for me. I am 189. It has been close to 15 years (before babies) since I weighed in the 180's. I have worn smaller sizes than I do now but I actually weighed more. My body who knows. Anyway I did not have the best weekend I have had a sinus infection and the only thing that made me feel better was saltines and gingerale. My 2 enemies (sugar and salt) combined but I did not seem to do the damage I thought. If I can just get back to eating my veggies and drinking my water I bet I can make my Thanksgiving goal of 188.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Shea- way to be postive it is a new week and a new start. Good Luck staying on plan!!!

Ms. Perception- A loss is a loss. If you are loosing 1 oz it is a step in the right direction!!! Keep it up!!!

Hiya ladies! Can't believe it is week 11 already....I remember waiting and waiting for this challenge to start. Anyways, sorry I can't check in more. We were gone for the week, but thanks everyone for all the congrats on the progress pics. And Shan--that is so awesome! And so sweet....yay you!

I had horrible TOM last week and overindulged...then kept it up over our vacation this weekend. Haven't exercised since last Wed either. Yet the scale was still down when I got on this morning! I thought for sure I was going to have to use a freebie this weigh in. Only a pound loss, but I'll gladly take it over the gain I feel I deserved!

I had a huge NSV this morning that left me crying for like 10 minutes. Let me preface this by saying when I left the USA to come to Korea back in February I was wearing a size 30/32 pant, and a size 26/28 shirt. Today, this very morning, I am wearing a size 24 jean and a size 2x shirt from old navy. I look HOT too! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!!! I am so sorry for being soo MIA... It has been one thing after another with all of this GI stuff going on with me the last few weeks... we have learned that stress is a huge trigger for a "flare-up".. sighhh lol the bloating is ridiculous and painful. I have gotten my call for my appointment with the gastro specialist for next tuesday ... one step closer to some answers .. my regular doctor is thinking celiacs disease but the specialist will do all of the necessary tests to find out for sure. I am sorry ladies.. with all of this I have gained 2 pounds back and am now holding steady at 202 for the second wee in a row. Good luck to everyone!!! I am so sorry to sound so depressing with all of my medical grumblings.. I really am not usually this whinney... lol
I miss being here on a regular basis though so I am making it a priority again to pop in at least once a day! I hope everyone had a great week and is ready for another great week ahead!
Congrats Shan!!! That is a HUGE achievement... so very happy for you!!!!

Hi everyone! Also popping in to say HI and see how everyone is doing. I posted a 5 lb loss....woot! (Guess that's what happens when you forget to post your weight and have to take freebies two weeks in a row, right?)

Am really worried about the next couple weeks.....have been having some horrible, itchy, rashy skin problems and we are having some problems figuring out what's causing it. So yesterday I started a 12 day course of prednisone, which is usually good for a (temporary) weight gain....*sigh* and there's Thanksgiving.....well, I think I'll be okay on that part - hubby and I are going out to our favorite restaurant for T-day so we won't have a lot of tempting foods calling us back to the refrigerator time and time again!

it's been a long day for me....had to take our dog to the vet for his annual tests and shots. he weighs 114.4 lbs and the vet suggested he lose some weight. lol obviously she's never tried to walk the beast. LOL so plan to put him back on a healthy food and 'attempt' to walk him more. I had to hold on to him for dear life so he wouldn't run up to the other ppl and dogs in the vet's office (i am just glad he didn't dislocate my shoulder) plus had to man handle/hold him to get his blood drawn (for the heartworm test) and his two shots. i was sweatin by the time we were done...lol i swear i burned at least 200 calories during that ordeal (forgot my HRM at home).....
then tonight i spent 3 hours in DD's room cleaning it and sorting thru stuff - so she has less than half the stuff she had before - cuz she claims it's too much to clean when she has everything out - well not the problem anymore. now her room is clean and i can see the FLOOR lol
DS is an awesome lil 3 yr old - tonight I was trying to get him to bed....and he went potty without having to be asked then picked out his pjs and got himself dressed (he's learning to be more independent) and then cleaned his own room - all without me asking. i am one proud mama - my 3 yr old cleaned his own room, and knows where each thing goes (think that's the OCD i have that's rubbed off on him)....lol my baby's growing up.

i plan to finish hubby's quilt tomorrow...i was hand tying the corners of the blocks, but that is taking entirely too long. so i'm gonna figure a way to use the sewing machine to get it finished, so that i'm not mailing it close to the stop mail deadline.
i plan to go to bed early, so i'll be well rested for tomorrow. i need to start catching up on my sleep - so i'm prepared to stay up late/early for BF shopping lol

Hi Red Team,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been so hectic lately that I haven't even been on the computer for almost a week. I'm sorry I haven't been much help this challenge, it's been challenging for me. I need to get back into the weight loss mind set again, it's just too easy to be lazy and not work out.
Thanksgiving is at my house so I get to do all the cooking, which I love. It gives me a reason to make bread and lots of other goodies from scratch. We don't have much for sweets usually. I'll just have to send stuff home with people. Saturday we are going to go see DS, he isn't going to be able to come home fo Thanksgiving. We will drive 5 hours, see him for about 5 hours and then drive home. Lots of traveling, but worth it to see him. At least this year he is stationed close to home, and not out of the country.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Hey all!! I'm gearing up for Thanksgiving - it's my favorite holiday!! I love my aunt's wildrice and my mom's stuffing. Sigh, last year for some reason unknown to me I was able to control my portions with these two foods. I have no idea why I did that - everything else was a free for all. Maybe it was my body telling me to slow down, haha. This year it will be a challenge to maintain portions but I have to remember that I don't want to undo all the hard work I've done so far. I would be ecstatic if I could post a loss for next week. This AM I weighed in at 152.3, which is a historic low (for the past...um...9 years) so I'm excited! I'm only 0.1 lb away from my 10% body weight loss on my scale. Woohoo!! I can't wait to reset it for my final goal of 135.

I'm also going home for a longgggg weekend. Really can't wait for BF shopping!!! (especially now that I can fit into smaller sizes)

Shan - way to go on the smaller sizes!!! That's wonderful!!
