20-Somethings - Get me out of the 190s!! Who else???

The original 190s thread had a few cobwebs about, so let's revive it by starting up anew! Hopefully there'll be some takers who want to rally together to push out of this pound-decade and into the 80s!
I'm new to the 190s, but I'm already ready to get out...I get bored easily. ;)
Let's hope we have some company this time, Paradoxx! :carrot:

I would LOVE to be out of the 190's. I was stuck hovering around 202 for months and it wasn't until I joined the Calorie Counters & their Halloween Challenge that I was able to kickstart and get to Onderland!!! Now, I'm at 194 (according to the scale this morning). My goal for Thanksgiving is 189---OUT OF THE 190'S!!! :carrot:
angee: What diet are you following??? What kind of workouts do you do?
I'm counting calories AND have set a goal for exercising atleast 3x/week. Last week I actually exceeded that goal & worked out 5x! I know we can do this!!! WE WILL SEE THE 180'S BEFORE WE KNOW IT!!! :)

skinnycow - wow, you are SO close! I'm sure you'll be in Onderland in no time! Keep up the awesome work, girl!
KDM - Congrats on breaking through to the 190s - and look at you, you're already more than halfway to the 180s! I don't follow anything specific besides calorie counting. I'm a vegetarian, so I eat lots of veggies and fruits and I try to only eat whole grains. As far as exercising, I typically exercise 6x or 7x a week. It sounds like a lot, but I live really close to the gym so it's easy to make myself go. I have a personal trainer on Saturdays, tennis on Mondays, and spin class on Tuesdays and Thursdays (THAT'S the big one! Spin is where it's at). On the other days, I just try to go and get at least 30-60 minutes of good cardio in (and a little weight lifting some days) and call it a day.
Sanna - I was very excited when I finally got to have a ticker! I'm sure you'll have fantastic progress to show!

I've been around 193 the past week... my goal is to be in the 180s by Thanksgiving! (I know I'll be back up into 190s the day after... but I'm going to try my best to eat small portions :P)

paradoxx - eww, sorry about your bronchitis :( yuck. but im sure it wont hinder you too much if you're controlling your calories.
i've been doing fairly well - great on exercise, but not fantastic on food. the only problem is that my doctor took me off my appetite suppressants, so im having a little trouble adjusting to these snacky cravings coming back. bleh.

Angee, I've got your problem in reverse, foodwise I'm doing great, but am not exercising enough. Here's something for those cravings :dust:
I've been maintaining this week, which is better than gaining I guess. But just goes to show that I need to up my exercise to get the scale moving.
Just yesterday I got a little ticklist from a magazine that I taped up on my bedroom door, so everytime I walk 30mins I get to draw a tick on it which is surprisingly motivating (I already have 2) :D

I know what you mean about Thanksgiving...my goal for the Tgiving CC challenge is 189 by then...I think I'll meet my goal (scale read 191.5 today)...however, i'm hoping to not have much "temptation" food-wise because unfortunately, I'll be working instead of going home to WV for the HUGE family dinner!!! lol DH & I may do a small turkey the following day, but we won't have near the amount of other foods....
I've done so well the last 2 weeks with exercising, it's not funny!!! and today, I bought a recumbant bike from Craigslist ONLY $20!!! So, now i have absolutely no excuse to not exercise bc my DVR is full...I told DH tonight that I'm goin to put the bike in the living room so I can ride while I'm watching everything on the DVR!!! hahaha NO EXCUSES NOW! (When I lived in Philly, I rode my bike to work (9miles round trip) and lost about 10lbs w/out dieting really....so I'm hoping this will get me out of the 190's and smoothly down to the 170's by New Years! A girl can dream big, right???

cheerios - i wish i could even remember being in the 180s...it's like a very fuzzy dream. lol
KDM - way to go on figuring out how to exercise no matter what. putting a bike in front of the tv is a fantastic idea! with that approach, getting to the 170s by New Years is totally realistic.
So I was 197 this morning! It feels like my weight loss has slowed, but I'm not too worried about it. I know I'm doing my exercising like I should, so even if it's not showing on the scale, I know I'm strengthening and getting healthier. At least this is what I keep telling myself... ;)
On top of my weightloss goals, I also have an exercise goal - I'm registered to run my first 5k on April 11! I'm SUPER excited...I never thought I'd run unless someone was chasing me with weapons. So that's what I'm working on at the gym...and I'm getting better. I was able to run half a mile last week with no trouble at all. Next goal: a mile. I just have to be ready for about 3.1 miles by April! Whew, we'll see.
Oh and Paradoxx...the 5k is local for us - and I totally think you should run it with me...just sayin'... ;)

KDM I think I may just start looking on craigslist for exercise stuff! haha. I'm all about dreaming big! I am also not going home for the big dinner and I am glad. My mom is too good of a cook for me to not have seconds and then dessert!
Angee I am kind of scared to actually sign up when I haven't even started training because of my ankle. :| I am a little envious of your confidence! :)
So after my first post I just stopped posting. lol Sorry. I have had a lot going on. On top of daily tasks I got the lovely task of going to the Dr. everyday to get my blood pressure checked. It was high and they wanted to see if it was because of the altitude or if it was a fluke. Sure enough it was elevated all the days. :( So now at the follow up I am going to assume that they will put me on meds, which I do not want to happen. I have upped my exercise and went super clean on eating. Any tips?! Thanks in advance. :)

Lackie - I decided that if I had already paid my registration fee and had a solid date to shoot for, then it would be all the more motivation to try as hard as I can. It really does help me to have that solid goal in mind even if I'm sometimes unsure I'll get there.
I also had high blood pressure before I started losing weight, and it's now absolutely normal every time I check - no medicine. My doctor agreed to give me time to lower it myself, because like you, I did NOT want to go on meds. So, I'll tell you his suggestions, but heads up - they're all kind of like...well, duh! But still, I just followed these things, and my blood pressure was normal in 2 months: lose weight (yeah, big surprise, I know), limit salt as much as humanly possible, eat as many fresh fruits and veggies as humanly possibly, limit saturated fat, and walk/jog/run. The only tip I have that may not be quite as predictable is trying yoga. Not only is it toted as the ultimate stress reliever (which definitely helps blood pressure), but it also balances and strengthens your core, which is all around healthy. That's all you can do - it takes time, but mine went back to normal finally, and hopefully yours will, too! :) :)

Thanks Angee! I hope my doc will give me time too. I wanted to try out yoga classes on post since they are super cheap, but I'm a wuss! haha Also I think that it's during when I go to school. I do water aerobics, but I guess I will suck it up and try it once. :) Only two months? I can deal with that. How much weight did you lose before it started to be normal? Mine is 138-143/97-101 Do you mind if you share yours? If not I totally understand!

The highest I ever saw mine was 139/95. I started out at 250, and it took me until around 210 to have a normal BP. Everybody's different, though...I think it has more to do with exercise and diet than weight really. But if you can make yourelf try yoga, that might do a world of good...ya never know.

I am going to kick up my exercising and I found a free Yoga class, but it's Yoga Basics. Not sure what the difference is, but I am going to check it out. I have no excuses now. What all should I bring? I planned on bringing a mat and water.
I hope everyone is doing well also! I am doing alright, but ate 3 small banana muffins last night. EEK. no good.

paradoxx - it's the hogeye marathon that starts on the square in fayetteville. of course, i will not be participating in the marathon...i think 5k is more than enough to handle for now. lol
lackie - i would think yoga basics is just standard beginner's yoga...probably perfect for you. sometimes they provide mats and sometimes they don't, so i think just bringing a mat and water should be enough!

I've done great on my calorie intake today. I have enough left over that I can have a snack before bed and be nice and satisfied and not super ravenous in the morning. :) Pretty exciting when I have days like this. I've also discovered 2 new ways to make lentils edible. One way is salsa, and the other is spaghetti sauce. SO more motivation to eat well.
I'm going to do some dancin' now when I get offline! Gotta try out my new DVD and then practice for class.

I wear yoga pants, because they're so flexible and comfy. I would just recommend wearing pants that you can move and flex in as comfortably as you could nakie. haha. and any kind of t-shirt or comfy sports bra should be fine...it's really only the pants that make much of a difference.

I actually am fond of lentils just plain. I've come along to eating my oatmeal plain too, which is good good good. I'll even eat it plain and cold now! I'm strange. Yeah... But I overcooked the lentils this time so they are a bit dry... had to do SOMETHING to them to make them edible. Quite exciting truly. 3 bean salad is good too! Anything with some kind of bean or veggie is good. :)
I think I've got my healthy foods in line pretty well now after a few months, but I just need to be motivated to keep exercising. The dancing is working really well right now. I just danced for an hour. :) The workout DVDs help me too, that way I have something to go along with, and the having multiple workout DVDs is great as well, that way I can switch them up daily and not get bored.
I hope I'll be out of 190s soon!

I saw on another thread that you are a fellow bellydancer! Do you do troupe or solo? I miss dancing with a troupe, but I don't have time with my school schedule. :(

I've been in the 190s since spring, I think. I got down to 190 but then spent the summer drinking, bbqing, and dinning out so I went back up to the high 190s. I finally just got back down to 190 for Halloween. I weighed myself yesterday but I was stuck at 190.2...

Haha... it comes in phases for me, though I've been enjoying it a lot more the past few months again. What style do you dance? I'm taking a class right now that is like an Egyptian-Cabaret combo, but usually I've just done Egyptian.

Haha... it was my life aspiration. May auntie is a professional and she was teaching lessons when I was a kid, so my first lessons were when I was 12-14ish I presume. I can't remember... but since then I've done it off and on through high school, mostly when I had long summer visits with her. But now I've picked it up in college... fuuuun! Shimmy power is sweet.

I've done cabaret, Egyptian, and tribal. Tribal is my favorite, but the troupe that I danced with primarily did cabaret.

I've been in a 16 for a few weeks, but they're starting to sag quite a bit...so I figured I'd try a 14 just to see. I tried on several 14s and they all fit alright-ish but actually a little too big! I ended up buying one pair of jeans...in a size TWELVE! TWELVE!!!!!!!!!!! I started out in a 22 in June. I am THRILLED beyond belief!!!

WOW! You all are doing so good...I haven't read this thread for a while...I'm down to 192...but I was 190.6 on Friday...Down from 193 on Monday??? I'm so confused about my weight...its up, then down, then up, then down...I haven't had a constant, 2-3 days in a row weigh-in FOREVER!!! I stopped taking the BC pill at the beginning of November (i'd been on them for 13 yrs straight)...starting TOM today...maybe this has something to do w/it, but I dunno...when it said 190.6 I was SO EXCITED, but then the next day it was 191.6 and 192 the next...I didn't really go over my cal AND i rode the recumbent for atleast 10miles/day...SO FRUSTRATED!
Angee...A SIZE 12 IS MY FIRST NSV that I'm aiming for...I'm still in a 16...I'm so envious...YOU'RE DOING AWESOME!!! And just since June...what plan are you following???

Good work, KDM! I've noticed that my weight can fluctuate, too, which is why I TRY not to weigh every day. Try. Sometimes I can't help myself, but I know that if I don't like the number, I'm not going to be very much fun that day. lol
I count calories and exercise 7 days a week. That's really it. I eat whole grains, fresh produce, etc...run, spin, and doing strength training. Pretty straightforward, but it's really working well for me.
I've noticed that in most jeans, I still need a 14 because of my dumb child-bearin' hips. But I particuarly LOVE Seven jeans...almost entirely because I wear a 12 in them...heh heh heh.

Angee, I'm on the same lines as you, just plain old fashioned caloriecounting and some exercise which I'm trying to up and also make it a lifelong habit.
And I have some exciting news, today I'm out of the 190's by a whisker as I weighed in at 189.8 AFTER breakfast :) But I won't make it official until Friday, just to make sure my weight actually stays at 180-something.

I weighed in this morning and saw a 191! Finally!!!!...I've been stuck on 193 for a week. I'm planning to work my feet off this week to hit 189 by my official Saturday weigh-in. I don't know, but fingers crossed. If not, I at least want to hit 190, which will be my 60 lbs lost mark...that'd be pretty exciting, too!

194!!! yay the 190's are moving way faster than the low 200's did. For that I am thankful. Now I want out of the 190's. I joined the Y today. I plan on it being my second home...I am so ready to be done with the 190's :-)

I just got under 200 for the first time in 10 years. As excited as I am to finally be in the 190's, I really can't wait to get out! I have 10 lbs to go. I'm hoping to be in the 180's by Valentine's Day.

So I hit an awesome milestone yesterday...I bought my first Victoria's Secret bras since I was 19 (SIX years)!! I can finally fit into them again! I was in a 42DDD 5 months ago...and now I'm in a 36DD!
...and my back takes a sigh of relief and says thank you...

Wow angee go you! I just recently was able to fit into a Victoria's Secret bra myself. I started off as a very tight 42DDD and now I'm 38DD. It was such a great feeling!
I weighed 192 today. I'm uping my workouts this week in hopes of seeing 189 by next week, but we'll see how it goes. :-)

hey everyone, joining the thread-- been bouncing around from 197-202 for a while now, finally got myself under that range. this morning i weighed in at 194.6, so i'm more than halfway through the 190s! now i'm just excited to try to get out of them before i leave for florida on the 21st. i still won't be comfortable in a bathing suit in the high 180s at my height, but i'll feel a little better knowing i made a short term goal and it's not as bad as it could be. how is everyone doing?

Guys I'll be here pretty soon...I finally got myself back on track and have been counting my points and keeping up with my food journal and really putting effort into it again...and it paid off because this morning I was 199.5...I'm not making anything official till sunday after I weigh in for the 20 something BL Challenge...but it feels so good to be under 200...and I already can't wait to say goodbye to the 190s....

Okay ladies it's definitely official now. After some gain and loss...I'm 199.5 and it's my weigh day so it counts!

Angee...it's gonna be like...a day, and you'll be off to the 180s thread. I'm kind of sad that I haven't been able to catch up with you...I got off track and you kept going and now you're doing so amazing! Definitely makes me think twice about getting off track...lol
I'm doing a lot of challenges right now...the 20 something BL challenge, the Valentines Day challenge...I think technically I'm doing the new years challenge, even though I haven't been paying much attention to it...lol

Divine, first - big congrats!! Secondly, I wouldn't be so sure about my being in the 180s anytime soon. I've stalled, and I'm about to chunk the scale out the window. I started weighing almost every day because I got obsessed (bad move), and it was like 191, 194, 192, 191, 190, 191, 190, 191, 190....there's a scale that's about to die.
But...I've put the scale in time-out to think about what it's done (i.e., the linen closet), and I refuse to let it out until my next weigh-in day (Saturday). We'll see.
But, assuming I do hit the 180s soon, you just have to hurry up and join me! lol...I got used to being in the same thread with you.

I'm trying to stay on track. Today was definitely an off day, but I had a really junky work schedule and didn't have time to go to the grocery store so I ended up eating fast food...
Oh well, as of tomorrow I'm getting a 7 day trial pass for the 24 hour fitness near my house and I have the next 3 days off so I want to spend a good chunk of that time at the gym. I'm definitely excited for it =D

I got the 7 day trial pass thing for 20 hour fitness today. I feel very accomplished....
I only made it 10 minutes on the elliptical, it was hurting my knees...but I went for an hour on the treadmill at a 0% incline and between 3.0 and 3.3 speed...which probably isn't that great but considering it's the first time I've even been on a treadmill, I think I did alright...lol....and then of course I got on a bike for 30 minutes...and then we had to go because I had other things I had to do...but I definitely enjoyed it. Next time I might try running a little bit on the treadmill and see how it goes. =D

Mikayla - don't worry - Christmas parties are diet busters, but it probably didn't affect your weight as much as you're fearing. My work Christmas party is tomorrow, and I'm concerned, too...but I'll bounce back as I'm sure you will, too.
Divine - congrats on the gym! An hour on the treadmill in any capacity is good. If you want to try jogging next time, you should check out couch-to-5k. My friend is doing it, and it seems to start you out pretty easy. The first week is jogging slowly for 60 seconds and walking for 90 seconds...for about 30 minutes. It seems like a good plan.

SO...I had 4 slices of pizza hut cheese pizza....and then felt horribly guilty so I went BACK to the gym...did the elliptical for about 15 minutes, the treadmill for about 25, the exercise bike for about 10...and then I went and swam laps for a while, relaxed in the spa, and did a little bit of weight training...mostly focusing on my arms and legs...I still feel guilty about the pizza, but I DEFINITELY feel less bloated...
angee, I've already looked into the c25k...and I'm not sure if I could manage it yet. Running on the treadmill isn't difficult for me because of the stress on my body...it's difficult because I've got stress induced asthma, and I haven't filled a prescription for my daily inhaler in like...2 years. I just can't afford it right now. Right now I just want to focus on cardio, and I figure anything is better then nothing.
Mikayla, angee is right. It really probably won't be that bad. I've had terrible days before, and weighed in the next morning and lost weight. Even if you did gain a little, you'll be back on track in no time.

Hello again everyone! I hope all my lovely chickies are doing great! Law school finals completely consumed my life for a bit. Diet and exercise didn't even enter my mind. Thankfully, I didn't gain a bunch during my time of trials. Yesterday, I go back on the wagon and once again started counting my WW points and exercising. I feel much better today and I am glad to be back.

So, shoot me. I just got finished eating handfulls and handfulls of cheezits after having 2 servings of pasta...and I wasn't even hungry. Stress eating. I had a big fight with my husband and I went straight to the kitchen.
I hate when I do this :( I always feel so guilty afterward and my stomach hurts, but during my little bingefest, I let myself off the hook and say that I just do what I have to do to cope.
What I've never talked about on these forums before is that I have a lot of trouble at home, and I'm planning to file for divorce right after the holidays. It kills me, and therefore, has been making my stress eating happen much more often. I feel like a mess :(

angee, I'm really really sorry about everything that's going on at home. I know it's not really something I can understand, seeing as I'm not married...but I definitely know about having to deal with stress at home. My family is completely dysfunctional, always fighting....my parents honestly should have gotten a divorce over 10 years ago....I ALWAYS have to be the mediator...they expect it from me...I hate it. I always have to be the one who works hard and supports myself...My older sister gets everything handed to her....they pay for her school, her rent, her food, her insurance on her car that they gave her....I have to live at home because they can't afford to support me if I leave not that they support me now. I work my *** of in school and at my job, get straight As (while my sister gets ds and fs)...pay for my own food...pay for half of their food...don't have a car and even if I could manage to save for one (which I can't) they wouldn't pay for my insurance like they pay for hers...I can't move out without a car (that I'm finding impossible to save for)...and even if I had a car they spend so much on her that they wouldn't have any money left to pay for MY rent or MY school. I'm having to take classes at a community college instead of going to a university because no one will give me a loan because their credit is so absolutely destroyed...and I have to pay for school, even though they pay for hers...It just seems so completely unfair...and it's ALWAYS weighing on the back of my mind...I'm always stressed about money...how I'm going to keep supporting myself AND save for a car AND pay for classes AND buy groceries...I HATE being stuck in this stupid house because it's always stressing me out...the constant fighting and all the clutter (my parents don't throw ANYTHING away...so there is random crap all over the place, the house is NEVER clean)...
I guess what I'm trying to say is we do the best we can. I know that a lot of times when I get off plan, it's due to stress...and I'm good and telling when it's NOT due to stress (and holding myself accountable for it when I'm just being lazy)...and I definitely think you are too. Just do what you can...Everyone's journeys have ups and downs...and sometimes situations make it more difficult to lose then others...Try and hold yourself accountable and stick to plan as much as you can...and the days when you just cant take it anymore, go ahead and have that piece of cake...or those 4 slices of pizza. You might gain a little bit back, but you've already lost it once, so you know you can lose it again...Just try not to lose complete control, because you don't want to have to lose the whole 60 lbs again. 5 is nothing compared to 60.
Once again, I'm sorry about everything that's going on. I would imagine you're very scared and confused...I know divorce is a big thing...and it will be a big change in your life...and big changes are ALWAYS scary...but you'll get through it and you'll get past it and you'll be just fine. You can do anything, or make it through anything, if you set your mind to it.

I definitely weighed in at 198.9 this morning...and I stayed on plan ALL DAY today...in fact, I'm about to go eat MORE food, because so far I've only had 15 points, and I'm supposed to get to at least 20 but no more then 25 points by the end of the day...which means I can have a piece of cake! WOOHOO!
I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and be all excited because I'm sure I'll have lost. I love that feeling.
Tomorrow is going to be a hard day though, because my little sister brings home cookie dough from her fundraiser...my mom bought 5 3lb tubs of cookie dough....and cookie dough is definitely a binge trigger for me. I could eat an entire one of those tubs in one sitting. I'm going to have to have steel will power for the next month or two until all the cookie dough is gone. I'm planning on stealing a tub or two and giving them away as christmas gifts (they won't notice and that's less in the house to tempt me)...lol

....So guys, I did something yesterday I was VERY proud of! For the first time ever, I ran for TWO miles without stopping once!! I was so happy. Before yesterday, I had only ever managed a mile without stopping to breathe...but I just kept going and made it to 2. It was just 3 months ago that I couldn't hardly finish half a mile without collapasing. Yay!!

I'm back up to 198.0....but I'm not going to bother changing my ticker...I'll be back to 197 tomorrow...I'm pretty sure it has something to do with TOM, and it could be that I didn't get enough water yesterday...because I honestly don't think I drank ANY...but I'm not too stressed out about it. Now that I'm somewhat further away from 200, a 1 lb. gain isn't going to make me 200 again...
I think my big goal right now is to lose enough weight before Christmas that I don't gain enough to get back over 200...lol. I mean, of course I'm going to try not to gain, and I'd LOVE a loss...but I'd like a buffer, just in case. lol

I'd been stuck at 200-199 for over a month. Today the scale finally said 198! I really do love seeing that 1 at the beginning of my weight, but that 9 in the middle has got to go. I was losing very quickly at the beginning and now it's soooo slow!

Ughhhh... I LOVED hitting the 190's... like someone said above seeing that "1" in front just tickles me every time (hehe)... but now that I'm 3 weeks away from needing to meet my 8 month long goal of 189.... argh!!! Go DOWN!!
To top it off... my mom's Xmas cookie party the other night took me back up to 196. :( I don't want to change my ticker back yet, though, because 1 or 2 of those pounds will probably (HOPEFULLY?!?!) come off in a day or two after hydrating properly and getting back OP. God I hope.

Yeah, so I was definitely 197.8 this morning...which TOTALLY sucks, but I was expecting it. In the past four days I've had mcdonalds at least twice, TONS of chinese food, pizza, alcohol, burger king, icees, pretzles...you name it...so I knew I had gained a ton...
the worst part is, my bf is at my house right now and ordered delivery from this place called "Steak it Easy" for lunch...so I'll be eating a cheeseburger and fries and part of his slice of chocolate cake for lunch from this place that delivers...he bought it for me as a surprise...and I'd feel bad if I didn't eat it...
I haven't eaten anything so far today though, so maybe if I eat a really small dinner and drink tons of water it won't affect me TOO much...

Don't be too hard on yourself. Personally, I have found that it helps me to pick one meal when I know I will indulge in a healthy portion of a food I enjoy, but do not usually eat.

I weighed in after the xmas weekend to see a horrific 200 so I've been half-heartedly trying to get the scale back to a happier place, I have today and tomorrow to make a difference! Even if it's showing the 198 from before xmas I'll be happy! I'm hoping I can whip the scale and my butt into shape this month!

It doesn't matter how LONG it takes me to lose the weight, it just matters that I DO lose it.

Stepped on the scale this morning and it read 189.4!! I can hardly believe it. Although I have a bad habit (for me, at least) of weighing myself everyday. I'm not going to count it official until my weigh in day, which is Monday. Seeing that number definitely boosted my spirits though!!
Divine- I know you can get it down girl!! Think about how awesome it was to see 194 and make that your motivation!! :)

Mateosmama- Thanks! =D...I don't exercise at all...actually. I really should, I definitely need to tone up, but I guess I'm partly too lazy, and partly too busy. For me, if I stick to my plan, I lose...if I slip up I gain. It's as simple as that. The reason I'm losing so fast right now is because I gained about 4 lbs of water weight over new years because of all the sodium I gained...so since I'm cutting back on sodium, I'm losing it pretty quickly...but other then that, I HAVE noticed that I've lost weight pretty quickly...I'm assuming eventually I'll hit a plateau and slow down A LOT...I'm not looking forward to it, but I think it is a pretty realistic expectation, especially because I HAVE lost so quickly. Anyways, just stick to your plan, be careful about what you eat, and drink plenty of water!!

If I can give you ANY advice...don't push yourself too hard. They say it takes a month for habits to change, so if you commit to doing SOMETHING everyday for a month, it will become a part of your routine. I always make the mistake of working out really hard at first and burning myself out... boooo :(

Grant it, it is the end of the day, however its been a while since i have weighed myself and i just had to be sure i was actually in the 190's. deep down i knew i would be, but i was really hoping it would be in the lower part...-sigh- this week has been the start of a new healthier me. i haven't done much, just stopped drinking soda/diet soda and fast food and just *really trying* to make small but healthier decisions (like not finishing the HUGE delicious chicken sandiwich I happen to be devouring). I haven't really exercised any this week, been quite lazy since i have had the week off but i'm really trying to persuade myself to drive over to my dad's and use his treadmill like 3x times a week. its just so hard...and he lives kinda far away. bah! making excuses already.

Tomorrow is my weigh in day that counts. I've been everything from 191 to 186 this week. I was 190 this morning so we'll see... And I ate like crap today. Maybe I'll just drink a ton of water and that'll make me drop something by then. Cross your fingers for me that I dropped below the mark and am in the 180 club tomorrow morning!

Alright so trying to make healthier food choices has really paid off! I am down 4 pounds from last week! That puts me at 192lbs. So close to the 180's! ; D Also last night I walked in AND out of work. Put together thats like 30 minutes of some brisk walking- first time I have exercised in a very long time. I also have not ate any fast food or have had any soda or diet soda. Just tea, water, tonic water. Boy do I feel a difference in my energy levels and my motivation on healthy living. I just hope this feeling doesn't go away. -scared!- I am hopeful though and I feel strong! Good luck everyone! Be strong and make better choices with each time you eat! one step at a time...apparently thats all it takes.

and now it's 193.6...and I can't figure out why...
the is the FIRST TIME I've stepped on the scale expecting a loss, and have gotten a gain. I worked out, I ate right, stayed within my points, drank only water...why in the world would I have a .3 lbs gain? I don't understand...
I was so expecting to have lost weight...I thought yesterday was an amazing day...and ultimately I'm so freaking frustrated it's not even funny...and I don't know if I'm going to keep working out. If it's going to make me gain, why should I do it?...
EDIT: lol, I realized I hadn't gone to the restroom yet ( i ALWAYS do before I weigh) so I did it again and it said 192.9....I'm happy with that, it's not an unexpected gain.....I'm out of the 193s and onto the 192s...lol. I still feel like I would have had a bigger loss without exercising...but ehh, maybe I'll keep it up a little bit longer and see what it does..

When I started doing the 30 day shred I went up about 4 pounds the first week, but it came back off quickly. I think it's all just water weight. I'm gonna start working out again, but I'm not gonna weigh myself for the first 2 weeks so that I don't get discouraged.

I understand that a lot of it is probably water weight...I'm hoping that it will go away soon, it's just so frustrating that you do something good and you gain...lol.
I'm planning on trying to get all the way through the 30 day challenge on EA Active (low intensity for now, I'll step it up and do it again once I'm finished with the lowest one)...and it's already kicking my butt. 20 minutes of working out, and I was exhausted. I'm SO out of shape...lol
Oh, and I have to weigh myself, even though I understand it would probably be better if I didn't. If I don't weigh myself every day, I lose accountability and start eating a bunch of crap I know I shouldn't. If I know I have to face the scale tomorrow, I'm better about watching what I eat today...lol

On the subject of weighing oneself- I decided that I would not weigh myself everyday mainly because I get excruciatingly dis-spirited/frustrated/humiliated/despaired when I have a gain in weight that completely comes out of nowhere. My weight fluctuates a lot even when I am doing great living a healthy life, I'm sure thats how it is for a lot of people. Even though I know that the 2 or 3 lb gain is probably just water or sodium or my muscles being swollen from working out or something it still drives me absolutely crazy to see that. Therefore I just weigh myself weekly.
On a side note I had to buy some new jeans last week because the jeans I had been wearing were completely worn in between the thighs. ; c Needless to say my legs are not the slimmest part of my body. lol. The old jeans were from american eagle, both pairs were size 16. Besides the worn area near my inner thighs they looked and fit really good so I decided to get some more from american eagle, the same size. When I finally got the 3 pairs of jeans I was very upset to find that the cuts of the new jeans did not fit me like my old pairs. I hate shopping for clothes at my size! The stupid part is, is that the jeans fit me perfectly around my waist, but were fairly uncomfortable looking on my legs, like sausages in a casing! -sigh- I cant wait to have thinner legs. If anything though I guess I should be thankful I have a tiny waist and a fairly flat stomach.

Ahh I HATE that! The "curvy" jeans at The Gap fit me like a dream, until they decided that they needed to fit "more like designer jeans" and now they look like crap-o-la. I also tried AE jeans and the rises are all WAYYY to low for me. I used to have an amazing pair. I guess jean designers are just out to get us! I'll blame it on them. ;)

i'm new to the forum.. ANYWAY! i used to be one to hover in the 190's.. and back when I did Nutrisystem I stopped it when I hit 185 (i got sick of the food),... and it felt SO good to be out of the 190's!
now i'm back because due to some depression issues (loss my mom) and late night munching, i went up to 202lb (NEVER have I gone past 198!) SO.. from the day I joined this site, and now, I am 197! so, perfect thread to be posting in :)
i'm hoping to make it out of the 190's before Valentine's Day!

i said i'd weigh myself today because of starting back at the gym... even though i weighed myself yesterday.
i weigh myself every 2 - 3 days, but i'll slowly start heading towards weighing myself every week..
anyway, i'm a little mad, but i understand.
i've still maintained. i didn't gain, i didn't lose, but i stayed the same. i'm a little mad because i'm so impatient and just want to see the weight come off, but i understand it takes time and it won't come off overnight! oh well.. today was 2nd day in a row at the gym, and tomorrow will be 3rd. the day after the 3rd i'll weigh myself, so NO PEEKING until then! i'll make that promise to myself :) i'll check back here then!!

yeah Today when I got to the gym it read 199, but as I left it read 200. I'm going to go ahead and join you guys. It's the time of the month and I am retaining water. When it's over I will be lower than 200 I know it.
EDIT: Today's weight 197.4 I had to triple check. LOL I weighed once, then again, then after I worked out. And I am bloated cause of my period! YEAHHHHH

up one pound this week....193 lbs....yuck...gawds....; C I haven't been sticking with eating very healthy, i mean im not doing horrible or anything but it seems like once a day ill let myself eat something thats not very healthy. Like today i had half of a burger from Marks feed store. Burger isn't really restricted from my diet but I try to choose chicken and leaner cuts of meat over it. And also the other day i had a bigger than i should have portion of spaghetti. Besides that i have to say my portions are in tact. I think I might not be eating enough...I know that can hinder weight loss, but I did GAIN a pound...so maybe i am eating too much...damn i need to start food journaling. its just soooo tedious. Still no fast food or soda or diet soda...so yay for that achieve.

ive been complaining how i havent seen the weight come off, but i told my boyfriend: i guess it doesnt come off overnight, just like it never got put on overnight. im taking it day by day! hopefully by the end of the week ill be 195-196!!

Well, I was a little disappointed in my weight this week. I only lost .6 lbs, which is still a loss, but I was really hoping for a little more. I'm not sure if it was because of water weight or not, but the day before my WI I think a few of my food choices were pretty high in sodium. Well, I'll just try again next week! We can do this!

i was eating horribly -- only 2 meals a day, and not my usual 5 small meals in a day.. so i think my body just started storing it all. im going to eat well all day today, and then later on tonight i have a dinner dance to go to with the family, with a buffet!! and major greek food will be there ... soo ill drink lots of water before hand, have a small yogurt, and keep drinking water when i get there and hope not too eat too much!! ill eat slowly too :)
i'll weigh myself wednesday... hopefully i go down again, but with exams coming up this week and next, i may get a little stressed out and flop again!

I weighed in at the same 193 last week. I blamed TOM which showed up much to my dismay, but truthfully I just didn't eat as well as I could have and I didn't drink enough water. I weighed in at 190 this morning... tomorrow is my 'official' weigh in for the week so fingers crossed it will stick, or even better I see 189! Even if it's 189.9 I'll be jumping for joy!!

2010 has not been a good year for me. I'm having such a hard time being good with my eating. I let myself go for a couple of days, see that I've gained a few pounds, and then be good for a while to lose the weight. I've been floating between 193-196 for a month. My scale is stuck on 195.5. I am sooooo ready to see it move after 5 days. I ate OP last week, but I forgot my lunch/wallet one day and I didn't do well with eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had some long days with school and if I don't eat in the morning I'm not hungry all day.

SO This morning I was back to 193.8....but I also went out to lunch with my dad and ate whataburger (SO BAD for you)....and my internet at my house died and all my classes are online so I'm sitting in a coffee shop right now doing homework...but I had to buy something to be in here so I got some earl grey tea and a chocolate chip cookie...
I ate the whole cookie...THEN looked at the nutrition information...and WOW! >.<
Serving size: one cookie
Calories: 520
Fat: 24g
Fiber: 2g
thats a 12 POINT COOKIE on WW. I'm only supposed to eat 25 Points a day....
so today, I'm definitely over on points. OOPS. >.<
That's okay though. I'll be back on track tomorrow and out of the 190s soon enough....well really...it couldn't be soon enough...but eventually I guess. lol

Ya i've been super off track too. Not caring etc. But I was thinking to myself why give up now?? And I REALLY wanna be skinny enough by summer to wear cute tank tops n shorts. So back on track yay!!Im at 195 now :(

Oh...and the reason i've been off track lately is because I turned 21 on the second and have been drinking alot and adding crappy food to it...ouch...but no more!

weighed in at 194.4lbs this morning. That's -2.2lbs in about 10 days. :D
at this rate I'm hoping to be in 180s by March. :carrot:

198.2 today
slowly making progress... I'M SO FREAKING READY TO SEE THE 180s.
My lowest adult weight was about 180.. that was after dieting.. of course gained it all back. So I'm really excited to see 180, pass it, and never go back.
Has anyone here passed their lowest adult weight yet??

Yeah I was definitely up to 195.1 this morning...but I definitely had a bad day yesterday and the day before as well. I'm back on track today, and I'm hoping to be out of the 190s in 2 weeks to a month....HOPEFULLY.

198.2 today

Mine is 185....so close. This is also my mini goal for St Paddy's
I'm sure you'll be at your lowest weight in no time and it's gonna be such a great feeling.

ahhhh!
i've slacked because I was sick and out of commision for a week. i hardly ate the first 3 days and only had my liquids (one meal a day, if you can even consider soup or rice a meal haha)
but! i didn't lose.. but i'm at 198.
im not happy, but im not mad because i could have put on more weight from being sick and not eating and getting back into eating.. so here goes! im ready to kick the 190's in the rear and be close to 180's before the end of february!

I haven't weighed in a few days...but I've been eating like total crap so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm back in the 200s. As of tonight, I'm back on plan. I bought a nalgene (on sale at target =D) and I'm going to be drinking tons of water...exercising...and staying ON PLAN!!
Hopefully I can finally make it out of the 190s.

Hey Ladies! After a week + of having a fight with the scale I'm back down to 195.0 (was fluctuating between 195.5-197.5.
Let's get this momentum back.... so we can say ADIOS to the 190s!

So last week was not a good week for me. I was up .4 lbs from the week before, so I'm at 193.8. Hopefully this week will be better and I'll only be in the 190's for a couple more weeks.

Oh crap I forgot to weigh in again this morning before I ate breakfast...I definitely need to start weighing every day again...and soon. lol
I'm on track today though. I resisted the temptation of fast food breakfast...so i guess that was step #1. I'm going to eat healthy today, try and drink lots of water, and maybe even exercise a little.

i weighed in at 197.5 today!
it's only .5 lbs... but i'm slowly moving on down!
i didn't eat much till towards late afternoon yesterday because of no appetite (it was my mom's birthday yesterday and she passed away just over a year ago... )
and with the Olympics in town, me and my cousin went downtown to check everything out and walk around and we did a lot of walking!
i'll weigh in again tomorrow to see if it's changed :)
let's move on out of the 190's everyone! good luck to all

When I stepped on the scale the first time I saw 192 and almost peed myself, but then I stepped on it again and it was 194.5. Still a loss and I will take it. Plus it was nice to know that 192 exists on my scale!!!

So I'm super excited.
I weighed myself in the morning...193.6...and then after I had breakfast I went to the doctor because I wasn't feeling well...and the scale said 192!
Either way, I thought I was much higher then that at the moment...so it's definitely a good thing. =D
I'll be out of town for the weekend...I'll be back on sunday night...and hopefully I'll do alright over the weekend. =D

I weighed in yesterday morning at 193.5, but its not my official weigh in for the week, however TOM will be here so I may take it since I'll be up a few lbs.
