Default UGH Nausea

I'm day 3 OP and feeling very nauseous this afternoon. Having an extra HNS right now - but I have to go to school tonight and am worried it's gonna be a long night! Is this normal? How long does it last?

I am going to WI before class tonight and will ask there - but am struggling at the moment here at work. Thanks all.

Leigh,
Sorry to hear about the nausea. I empathize with you, as nausea has been present on and off throughout my 4 months of MRC. When I mention it to the consultants, they just say "Really?!" and sound really surprised. I wonder if it is due to the massive amount of water we have to drink; water can sometimes make me feel sick. Hang in there!

I just read today as a matter of fact that ketosis can cause nausea. It said that it usually subsides after a few days as your body gets used to burning fat and not sugar.

Default A few answers

Well at my WI I talked to my counselor about it - she didn't seem to concerned and then started talking about possibly detoxification effects. I will wait it out a day or two and see how I feel. She told me to try a fiber supplement along with my afternoon HNS and see if that helps.

On a good note...I lost 3 lbs - total of 6 lbs lost since preconditioning! I am now motivated after struggling today to keep on!! Thanks for the support.

I haven't had any sickness but when I'm in ketosis I feel a little funky- shaky and not hungry.

I hope you feel better!

NotaFatBride,
Thank you. Yes I am feeling better today. Mondays are my long days and I will just have to figure out what works for me. But today is a new day and so far....so good
