Good morning ladies!!! There wasn't a new chat thread yet, so I thought I'd get one started for us. I hope you're all having a beautiful Monday so far!
I'm... up 2lbs which is frustrating, not because it's a gain (which is annoying), but because it's half of my work last week flushed down the toilet :( Good thing this week I've got an intense workout schedule! Aiming for less calories this week, since I binged twice last week and snacked a little extra on the weekend. Bad Mary!

I had a really wonderful weekend with my bf, working all day splitting kindling and stacking wood, painting and cleaning carpets, and then eating eating eating. Probably doesn't make too much sense to look at the scale today...just going to try to cut back a bit this week and try to even out.

Hey guys! I had a CRAZY weekend. My sister had decided to repaint her spare bathroom in her house and wanted me to help. I showed up over there to realize that ALL of the painting that she got done peeled off the wall like a balloon. Luckily it wasn't the whole bathroom. We spent all of Saturday peeling off paint then Sunday was spent sanding and priming. What a nightmare. It was a GREAT upper body workout sanding down the walls though haha.
I started my TOM yesterday too and I just now got out of bed. I am having a BRUTAL day today. The pain is terrible today im hoping a walk will make me feel better but we will see.
Its getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving and finally getting to see my bf and im soooo super excited about it but worried about getting the house clean too. We have a hurricane brewing and hoping that we don't get a TON of rain. Last time my bf came down it was raining the whole time and it was depressing.
Hopes everyones week is starting off better than mine!

Good Morning Ladies! I can't believe its almost Thanksgiving. I'm nervous about the amount of food that is going to be around during the holidays. I had a great weekend. My official WI is tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes. And I did something I would have never done before. I messaged a boy on FB and asked him to hang out....makes me nervous :)

I hope you guys all had a great weekend =)
Mine was uneventful but I stayed on track which is the good thing.
Official weigh in was today and I lost 4 lbs since last weigh-in (monday)
woot
BF's weight stayed the same since he went out to eat A LOT last week due to business meetings and he visited his aunt and uncle this weekend which means more food and never an empty plate. lol =) at least he didn't gain
2009 IS going by so fast.. we better make the last few weeks COUNT!

I'm HALFWAY!!! I've officially lost 28 lbs and have 28 to go! Hooray! I'm only 9 lbs away from having a healthy BMI.

Like many of you mentioned, the weekends are hard for me. I just get in this mentality that I can treat myself on the weekend, but then I always take it too far! Any tips on dealing with this? But I'm looking to get back on track this week. I'm going to try to run more this week.

Well my weekend was dreadful: ate waaaaay more than I should have all weekend, which led to an 11 pound gain????? Sounds pretty impossible to me; I'm hoping that I am just retaining 11 pounds of water. Or my scale is broken.
I am ready to make a fresh new start! I want to lose at least 5 more pounds while I'm in Paris. With four weeks left, that seems like a reasonable goal.
platformnine
11-09-2009, 04:27 PM
Peachy - uuhhhhh, I think your scale is broken lol, I understand a 5lb gain/water retention, but 11lbs is a bit much! When do you weigh in?
:carrot: i just finished sewing together the biggest Christmas present on my project list - a vest for my 12 year old cousin (the rest of the projects are neck cowls and hats and such), and boy does it feel good to be done this beast! The pattern was written by a girl who didn't double-check what she wrote so the pattern has loads of inconsistencies (blegh, extra work for me). But it turned out really cute :D And it kinda fits me, which is silly because it's in a size S/M for young girls. But hand knits are silly that way. I usually knit in a M or L for myself, but now that my measurements are changing I can knit myself things in S and M depending on the pattern! Yay, NSV that saves me money and yardage in yarn!
Back to the needles, I still have some time to knit today before I need to workout and do my classwork, eep!
ETA: I almost forgot, I was looking for bikini bottoms online at Target because I needed a new bottom to a bathing suit top I have and found 2 ADORABLE bikinis on sale for $6 and $10 for each as a set. Sooo now I have 3 goal bikinis! One is a navy blue, green, and yellow plaid and the other is a bright baby blue with white anchors on it!!! :D I have a thing for anchors, so I'm so happy I found both of these :D

dreamer11 - I wish I did have some tips to help w/the weekends! What helps me is just staying busy. Other than that, I'm lost (& hungry:o)
luvja - Jamaica sounds so fun!! My boyfriend has family that lived there for quite a few years... he visited & said that it was awesome :].
peachykeen62 - the most "weight" I've gained after a weekend of overeating is like 8 lbs.. it all came off the following week + 1 more, so I'm sure all/most of it was water weight. So that might be the case like you said. Checking on a diff scale always works though ;)

Hi everyone,
I'm officially sick. I was feeling it coming on for the last two days and it's offical (one roommate it had it, then the other, now me). I couldn't muster up the energy to go to the gym. I seriously was conisdering it but then decided that there would be no way I would be able to breath. Hopefully the drugs start to kick in more and I'll be able to go tomorrow. I hate being sick.
Being sick makes me depressed because I don't feel like I have anything going on in my life. I'm waiting for a new work assignment ... my boss has to decide how he is going to get me the file, I suggested just mailing me the CD but IDK. Hopefully I'll get access to their remote server soon enough so they can just tell the case name and I can download the file. Otherwise I don't have anything to do. I'm thinking of getting a part time job doing retail so I can met people.
I didn't weigh myself this morning, simply forgot, I was more concerned with loading myself up with cold medicine. Other then that I laid by the pool for awhile, my replacement phone came in the mail so I set that up. Now I'm just laying on the couch, maybe I'll read a book.

Ditto... Not a great week for me last week, although I've been pretty much on plan since Saturday. I did have one major success today - I had to set up our displays for a trade show tomorrow, and we have one that holds about 20 different kinds of candy... And of course, we ordered more samples than necessary, so I'm sitting there with tubs and tubs of candy, and I didn't eat a single piece!!! I put a piece of gum in my mouth and anytime I thought about having one, I tried to think about how I'd really like to be in the 170s by next weekend when I go to FL for my step-sister's wedding.

I had an okay weekend. Did my first workout of 30 Day Shred on Saturday, and took a break from exercise on Sunday. However, studying in the lounge last night, a friend decided to run home real quick, and when she came back she was carrying two bowls of ice cream and placed one in front of me. Well, I couldn't resist it. Fail. I need to have a talk with her about not doing that again.
Today was bad school-wise. I was not motivated and went to none of my classes, including a lab! Oh no. I need to get back on track tomorrow, but I'm sure I've lost a bit of my grade for that. However, I did go to my dance class, and then did another hour of dance at home, and did 30DS again. I want to get back into C25K this week, so we'll see.

Helloooo Lovely ladies :)
Greetings from Omaha!! I just had the best dinner I've had in a long time, and I don't even think it was that high on calories. I prepared by eating healthy stuff all day, and I even worked out for an hour after I got off the plane, but it was so good I do not care.
I was up 2 lbs this morning from yesterday, which is just darn impossible, so I'm going to be on my best behavior here and see what Thursday brings when I get back to DC. Its funny, the fitness center here is like 10000x better than the one at my apartment complex, so I have no excuse not to use it :)

Stella - It's probably just water weight! Have fun in Omaha!
I made those Pumpkin Muffins (http://www.3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs/platformnine/2009/10/25/recipe-pumpkin-muffins-2g-fat-120-calories/) again tonight. Sooooo good, I love them! I even had enough batter left over to make a batch of mini-muffins too, so I guess those would be 60 calories per mini muffin if the regular ones are 120. I still have 1 box of spice cake left in my pantry so I think I'll make a batch for my boyfriend's family when he comes on Friday :3

Mojo - Ooohh those sound yummy!!
Ugh, so apparently I'm up .5lbs (totaling 2lbs from Sunday) WTH?! I was thinking about it and realized most of my meals for the past few days have been pretty high in sodium so for the next few days it's low sodium meals, lots and lots of water, and hard time in the gym. Also, TMI I haven't gone to the bathroom properly in a few days. :( Water retention blows.
I wonder if I shouldn't have my rest day be alternating, and maybe I should just use Saturday as a rest day for yoga and stretching because on Sundays we usually have a big family dinner and I'm thinking that's what got me.
Ok, ok, ok. Enough of my whining about water retention/gains/the scale/food. The best thing to do is keep my head high and work harder.
What are you ladies up to today?

11-10-2009, 11:11 AM
Platform- I bet it will level out. I'm on a 4lb fluctuation cycle and I think it's just normal changes in water weight.
I bit the bullet and ate McDonald's last night. Usually it's just a late night drunk food treat for me, but I actually ate it for dinner. I had to eat on the run between the gym and bell rehearsal, and I needed something that was high in protein, and that was the only thing that remotely fit the bill (not to mention only put me out $2.20). So I scarfed a McDouble and a 4-piece chicken nuggets (580 cals)...it was full of fat and sodium, but my fat and sodium intake for the day was already really low so I was willing to make the trade-off.
I find that trying to get in all my nutrients in good ratios makes food choices completely paralyzing...anyone else?

forestroad - I know what you are talking about. I stood infront of Starbucks for a good 10-15 min debating what to get. I must have looked like such a loser. Ended up getting a bottle of water and 130 cal biscotti.. LOL cause I couldn't find calorie information about anything else .. I really wish Florida would make calorie disclosure mandatory for everyone. Makes my life a lot easier. I'm staring at my iPhone texting away, googling, searching for calorie counts before every decision... it's completing time consuming but i do it lol
platformnine - If you haven't #2ed in a while, that's a lot of weight right there. You would be surprised how much crap your body can hold LOL... just say on plan for the rest of the week and you'll be surprised how fast your body jumps back into gear ! good luck
mojolove05 - that snack sounds soo scrumptious. I'm careful about buying certain snacks though because my boyfriend eats everything in sight and I'm trying to keep healthy options around the apartment lol. He is also trying to lose weight ~
stellarosa27 - I noticed when I travel, I retain more water or I have problems going to the bathroom.... so once you are back home and settled into pattern again your body will adjust! =D Hope your having fun in Omaha!!

Stella- Have fun in Omaha. I know your pain I have been up 2-3lbs every day this week.
Mary- Those muffins sound delish. Me and my sister ended up making my dad a pumpkin pie last night. My dad has this idea that if it has something healthy in it.. Its healthy. So because it has Pumpkin in it, of course its healthy. I think thats awesome that you knit. I secretly want to be able to do that or to learn how to sew. Maybe one of these days.
Mojo- Those almonds sound sooo good. I could go for some right about now
Forest- I understand the whole Mcdonalds thing. I think our bodies need it to some strange degree. As long as we dont eat it all the time were fine. I could go for some Mcdonalds chicken nuggets lol. I just wish there was more choices as far as healthy fast food places. People wonder why americans are so obese yet they continue to open up more and more unhealthy places. Why cant we get a healthy fast food place? Anyone want to start a chain restaurant with me so we all become rich? haha
Well today my TOM Is getting a little better still cramping but not half as bad as yesterday going to try to walk it off. Today starts the first official cleaning day of the house. Since im down to 15 days ! AHHHH That number scares me to death but excites me at the same time. UGH I cant wait to finally see my bf. Pammy - If you're standing within a 3ft vicinity to me while I'm knitting, I'm going to teach you how to knit lol. I LOVE knitting, and I taught it to myself (since my nana passed away before she could teach me - kind of a family tradition). I also can crochet and sew a little bit. I say learn! It's really easy and it keeps your fingers busy and your mind off of snacking! If you do learn, there's a website (Ravelry (http://ravelry.com)) that's for knitters/crocheters/weavers to chat and share their finished projects and find new patterns (it has a huuuuuge pattern database). It's also a great site if you're learning because there are tons of people there that want you to learn lol. I used mostly Knitting Help (http://knittinghelp.com) and YouTube to figure knitting out. Oh girls....I'm throwing a pity part of one here for a few minutes so please forgive me.
I don't know why some things never change. I will get back on track and be really gung ho and work out and count all my points, weigh all of my meals, etc.... and then I hit some kind of road block (usually in the form of a special occassion/vacation) and EVERYTHING comes unraveled. I feel so unhealthy. I am the highest weight I have ever been. I don't understand WHAT is going on exactly. I've always pretty much sat between 185-195. I was about 205 at one point in HS but never over that. I'm fluxing between 208-210. The only thing I can semi figure is that I've been on a birth control for the past year... but then again I don't want to blame it on something else. Maybe its just me.
My best friend/coworker isn't talking to me. I said something (in complete honesty) she didn't want to hear and hasn't talked to me since last Friday morning. I figured the weekend would pass and she would get over it. Don't know if she's going to honestly. I guess the test will be if she calls on my birthday (which we are supposed to go out for btw) on Saturday.
My other best friend is having a nervous breakdown. Literally.
I am ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS tired. I'm relatively okay in the morning at work (my one time a day I get caffeine) and then once I get home I am pooped. If I want to work out (which I haven't been) I cannot sit down... I have to change clothes and either get on my treadmill at home or go to the gym immediately. If I sit down I'm toast.
Yesterday I had a huge binge. So much for my first day back on track...
I'm tired. I'm unmotivated and I feel CRAPPY.
*HMPH*
Did I mention I'm tired of my crappy attitude too? LOL

A few days back OP, and I bet you will feel a lot better. Being on the pill is tough. I gained weight, but my body acclimated after about 6 months. You can lose on the pill!! I also say talk to your friend and address it up front...at least then you have a chance at relieving the work place tension. She'll probably come around.

We're here for you, and don't feel bad about whining to us!I agree with ForestRoad - set yourself a few small goals like staying OP for a few days, thinking positively and exercising at least 3 times a week. Once you get back into the swing of things, you'll feel better! Special occasions and vacations are hard to bounce back from and they've always been my downfall, we just have to be strong and get back to our routines!
And I think you should give your friend a call and talk about it. I lost a very dear friend early this summer in the same kind of situation.

Me too, I loooove (and hate) feeling sore after a workout because then I know I worked really hard and that I'm making changes in myself :D
I had an AWESOME workout today. This morning I took the dog on our brisk 2.5 mile walk through our neighborhood, then I came home and helped my aunt a bit to give my muscles a breather, then I went down to my basement for C25K W3D1. It was AWESOME because I used the Glee soundtrack for my tracks this week and I was jamming out lol. I didn't want to stop running! (Or singing loudly to myself.) I think after today I should have broken through my water retention. I hope. My mom bought me some yummy green tea infused with mango and I've read that drinking green tea is supposed to help with fluid retention, sooooo I'm chugging it down! Plus, it tastes delicious mmmm!
Tonight I made broccoli and asparagus casserole and it was SO GOOD and SO FILLING!!!! It's another recipe I found on spark people, I am LOVING that place so much more than fit day lol! (except I still use fit day for their summary graphs and what not) Supposedly it's a little under 200 calories per cup, which I'm a little skeptical about, buuuuut it tastes too good for me to care about right now lol. I took about a cup and a half since I only had a little bit of soup for lunch.
Also, even though it's a little high in calories for a 6oz cup of yogurt, Breyers peach-orange-mango fruit on the bottom is DELICIOUS. Seriously, it tastes like an ice cream smoothie yum yum yum! I had it with some blueberries and almonds as my snack today and it was divine.
And... I'm in such a good mood right now and I can't explain why lol.
Now I'm off for the night ladies to do a crap ton of classwork :( (this is probably not true, I'll probably procrastinate and end up on Facebook and 3FC as usual lol)

Hugs to all of you who are sick or struggling - it's a tough time of the year for sure :(
I'm pretty excited - I've been making a big push to be on plan since Sunday in preparation for my step-sister's wedding in FL this coming weekend and I'm still on track! The biggest challenge for me is working at a candy company, but so far, I haven't had any pieces of candy at work, except for the mandatory three pieces for an ingredient trial we were running today. DH and I have been going to the gym before work regularly too, so I'm hoping to see a big change this week :)

Okay, so this is what happens when I check in at the end of the day...here I go...
Mary - Water retention combined with not being able to go to the bathroom (welcome to my world) sucks major donkey reproductive parts. Green tea DOES help, and I love the kind infused with fruit. Mango is good, and peach is awesome. That broccoli/asparagus casserole sounds amazing... Also, please teach me how to crochet lol. I can knit (and Pammy, you should learn, its so easy!) but I cannot crochet.
Feral - I know I'm like 80 posts behind, but I agree with platform and forest. Just take one or two things at a time, and before you know it, you'll be back to OP. :) Did you ever think about working out in the morning, maybe? If I work out in the morning, I don't need caffeine, which I've noticed kind of exacerbates me crashing in the afternoon. Also, maybe try some fruit in the morning instead of caffeine. The Vitamin B's will help with waking you up, and no crashes!
Luvja - Yay for losing 4 lbs already, that's awesome.
Okay, so Omaha, Day 2. I got up and worked out this morning (patting self on back) and almost went back to the fitness center after my work-day was over just because I was sitting all day. I instead opted to go for a walk around downtown Omaha before dinner. Not the extreme calorie burn I would have liked, but fresh air never killed anyone. I also found this cute store and spent possibly too much money on this GORGEOUS scarf and 2 shirts (one flannel, one wonderwoman, both slightly too small, but only slightly). I figure its motivation to keep on going . I want to wear the flannel one on the plane back to DC tomorrow, so that'll prevent me from stuffing my face all morning tomorrow. AND I'm going to get up and exercise again. I'm working myself up to restarting C25K week 3, where I left off. I've been doing intervals - run 2 minutes, walk 2 minutes, and I can do it for up to 30 minutes before I run out of time or I feel like I'm going to die. I'm going to try and do it for 45 minutes tomorrow, but that means I have to go to sleep at a decent hour tonight:)

Stella - Oooh, peach? I should definitely look for that, it sounds just as good as the Mango is! And yay for getting up and working out! I'm sure you'll do fine when you jump back into C25K. I just started week 3 today and it's actually a little easier for me than the past two weeks have been, since it's a short run, a short walk, a long run, and a long walk repeated twice. I dunno, but I liked it lol. It helped that the podcast I made for this week is all Glee-themed :D Annnd crocheting, yes. That was a little tougher to learn since I already knew how to knit when I tried it. It's weird going from two needles to one hook. I use it mostly for edging, decorative stuff, and TOYS! I love making plushie toys lol, especially for my boyfriend. I hide them all over his apartment in places he'll find them and I spray them with my perfume so he has something to remind him of me during the week lol. For crochet, I've heard it's easier to just learn how to make a granny square (videos on youtube) rather than learning a scarf, since it will teach you almost all of the stitches used in crochet AND you'll learn how to turn your work properly (something I've never fully mastered because I learned by making a circle first so I could crochet "in the round" to make a toy lol). Again, I suggest Ravelry.com because there's awesome people there and the forums have a TON of help. I believe they're still working on a crochethelp.com, but right now it just forwards to KnittingHelp.com. This site (http://www.nexstitch.com/v_Tutorials.html) looks like it's very similar to knitting help, but with crochet stitch videos. And these (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=learn+to+crochet+for+beginner s&search_type=&aq=0&oq=learn+to+crochet) are the search results on youtube for "learn to crochet for beginners". Also youtube results (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=learn+to+crochet+a+granny+squ are&search_type=&aq=0&oq=learn+to+crochet+a+gra) for "learn to crochet a granny square". I hope that helps you!

Hey all! I'm new here ... Hope it's okay I'm jumping in the middle of the conversation. I'm 21 and getting married in April ... about half way through my weight loss goals with 30 more lbs to go ... :carrot:
Mary I knit too! Congrats on finishing the vest. :congrat: I don't do anything with shaping (at least not yet) ... I'm working on a baby blanket right now but there's lots of inc, dec, and decorative stitching so it's slow going :)
Talking about McDonalds ... :mcd: I used to eat at least one of their milkshakes a week and several breakfasts a week when I was in HS ... How did I stay a sz 10 or less?
Have a great day! :)

Forest - LEARN LEARN LEARN!!! Lol, I'm such an enabler....
Ash - Aww baby blankets are so cute :D The vest (http://today-i-made.blogspot.com/2009/06/plaited-pattern.html) pattern is actually pretty easy, there's no shaping. The pattern just has a few inconsistencies in it annnd to make it adult sized you'd have to add stitches to the stitch count. I think the front panels could probably still be done the same. Maybe a few stitches added to the stitch count, depending on your bust size. The only crappy part about that pattern is that it's knit flat and you have to seam everything together. I'm allergic to sewing knits together hahaha, I wish everything could be done in the round!
Sooo I got an extra workout in today, because my best friend dragged me over to her house an hour ago to workout with her because she never stays motivated enough to do it on her own. (Although it's probably good she has me around to remind her about her form when we work out so she doesn't hurt herself!) We ended up doing Bob's Biggest Loser Cardio Max. I needed to take another shower and now I'm pooped and am going to sleep!

Hi girls!!! I hope everyone is doing good. Sounds like everyone has been busy....which is usually a good thing ;)
I had such a great day today!!! I went out with some of my college friends to dinner and a movie. I ended up getting the turkey sandwich which wasn't too bad and waffle fries, but I made sure to go to the gym before leaving....mainly because I really was looking forward to getting some fries ;) LOL
I love my college friends and it's always so great to catch up with them! We already have nights planned for the next two months. But there were so many different Christmas things out when we were in one of the stores that it's crazy to think that Christmas is right around the corner. I'm so not ready for it!

It's been a successful day! Did well on my calories, got a work-out in at the gym...and now I'm tired and ready for bed. I must go to sleep before I ransack the fridge..haha! Today is Day 2 in getting back into counting calories and when you are so used to eating whatever whenever you feel like you are starving to death the first week or so...(stomach...hurry up and shrink!).
I want to reply to everyone, but I'm just so tired and have to get up early for class.

Mmmmm, so I think my digital scale is broken. There is no way that I pee'd all day yesterday and got up 4 or 5 times in the night for there not to be a change on the scale. So I went to our basement scale (a non-digital, which makes me a little leery of trusting it) and it said 184, so I'm giving myself a lb and saying 185. I'm going to use that one for the next few days until I can find a new battery for the digital one.
I'm getting more and more excited for my progress picture on Friday :D This morning in the mirror (I always check how my waist line is looking) I was looking GOOD. I also lost a half inch on my hips and bust (pretty sure it came from my back because my boobs haven't changed - though I wish they were a little bigger. Or fuller. Damn B cups.) so YAY for that :D :carrot:
This Friday my boyfriend is taking me ice skating at the local rink which I'm sooooo excited for :D The last time we were going to go we got.... distracted ;) But he was so cute because he was like "I don't know how to do this." I thought he meant skating, I told him it was easy and he'd be able to do it. He told me "I've never ice skated while holding hands before." Awwww <3

Feral - Sounds like a lot of negativity going on around you. Make sure you find time for "me-time" and stay positive for yourself. You can do this!!!!!!
peachykeen62 - Yay on no school =) Hope you have a great day today or yesterday (confused lol)
platformnine - Love, Love, LOVE green tea ~ drink at least 4-5 cups a day. Glad to hear you are peeing a lot LOL. You sound so crafty (jealous lol) .. my mom can do all these things and I just wish for 50% of her skill. Sounds like you and your bf are really hitting it off, which is awesome.
Ashbee - I love mcdonalds too but I haven't gotten it in 5+ weeks now. It's a nono for me until I get to my goal. I can't justify going there at the moment. Welcome to the chat!! The girls are really nice so post awayyyyyy haha
Chele615 - Sounds like you had a fabulous day =) it IS great to catch up. The more positive people you surround yourself with the happier you are ~
sgregg - I do that too lol. Sleep before I get snackish! I've been sleeping before 11:30 pm every day since I started on my journey lol. GL with classes.
stellarosa27 Sounds like you are really enjoying your trip in Omaha. The items you bought sound beautiful =D (post pictures of them!!!) Nothing like retail therapy to push you in the right direction haha
I have less than 2 weeks before I'm going to nYC to see my sister and lots of college friends (just graduated last semester)... My sister last saw me July during her birthday and I was approx~195 lbs... I HOPE SHE NOTICES I'VE SLIMMED DOWN :^: This trip was actually what kickstarted this journey a few weeks back... I'm hoping for 169 lbs before I step foot on the airplane....
Good luck everyone today and hAPPY HUMP DAY ~

Luvja - Morning! Still OP today? Are you doing ok with not smoking?
InControl - You're so close to 169 I'm sure you'll beat that goal by the time you go! Knitting is one of those simple things in my life that keeps me happy and out of the kitchen haha. It's really easy, make your mom teach you! Lol I always think everyone should knit. Being crafty keeps me sane. And I'm soooo in love with my boyfriend, and if it's possible he's even more in love with me lol. We've got lots in common, but also are very different from each other so we have tons of fun together. We're kind of like an old, married couple in that you feel like we've been together forever, but it's only been 3 months hahaha!
UGH, so this morning I've been slaving over my mom's laptop to help my aunt upload the last few months work of video from her camcorder to the computer. The camera works great, and it has super good quality and whatnot, and the pictures upload fine - it's the videos that are giving me trouble. Apparently sony thought it would be a fantastic idea to have the videos be in a format that computers can't read - what a great idea, right?! >:C I think I'm finally getting somewhere because I found a different software and an updated driver to download and hopefully in the next hour or two I'll have the videos uploaded to the computer and VIEWABLE. Jeez, my aunt just wants to put this stuff on DVDs so my grandparents can see it! I love technology, and I totally understand it and I've chosen it as my career path, but sometimes I just want to throw things.
HUFF, sorry for the vent, Vista just drives me crazy. It's part of the reason I have a Macbook Pro now.
What should I make for lunch? We have soup, salad, and.... that's about it lol!

Mary- That sounds pretty tasty. I had never tried asparagus until recently, and I wasn't that into them, but maybe with a good recipe I might love them. Ive noticed in the last year that my tastes of have changed drastically and i find myself eating stuff I would have never put in my mouth a year ago.
smisen- Grats for staying OP and good luck with the wedding :)
Well its finally raining here. We were suppose to get like 1-4 inches from the hurricane but It doesn't look like were going to get much. Me and my nephew luckily walked before it started raining. Im off to do my 30DS. Hope everyones having a good day!

Unbearable : Whoohoo! 1lb!! Way to go! :cp:

luvja: Hey! Feeling better today?
InControl: I hope your sister notices too...surely she will! And keep up the good work and you'll make it to 169! :carrot:
Well, got on the scale today and I've lost 5 lbs since Sunday! Whoohoo! I should have waited until the end of the week but I knew I felt less bloated and I wanted to see if anything had changed. So, I'm really sure it's mostly water weight because of me eating bad for a while now...but still, I'm happy about it.:D

Unbearable - Thanks! Lol, and congrats on your loss this week!!!!
InControl - I ended up making a yummy LF turkey sandwich on a Wegman's Lite English Muffin with a little bit of honey mustard and one slice of american cheese (melted), which came out to 286 cals, plus a 100 calorie pack of cheezits so my lunch was 386 calories, yummy, AND filling :D It was muy enjoyable.
Pammy - I just loooove asparagus! When we make it I hold it all hostage on my plate lol. I like it grilled, baked, steamed, pretty much any way you can make it - I'll eat it lol. Try sautéing it with some garlic and onions with a LF butter or a little bit of extra virgin olive oil for a yummy yummy asparagus dish! :D
Sgregg - I adore my Mac, and have very few problems with the brand (aside from its ridiculous prices). However, in September my beloved Macbook crashed (my fault, I over loaded it trying to do too much at once...oops) and I decided to buy a Macbook Pro. Now I've refurbished my old Macbook with a bigger hard drive (it was a 160GB and I put in a 250GB) and I'm selling it as soon as I'm done refurbishing it :)
I finally conquered the Windows Vista/Sony Handycam issue. It took me ALL DAY to do it, but I finally whipped it into submission. I feel better now lol.

Mary The vest doesn't sound too bad ... but this blanket is going to take me forever :) So for now I'm trying to stick to it (I'm notoriously bad about giving up 75% through a project ... My blanket is made in 7 panels that has to be sewn together also ... I think I may also be *alergic* :faint: becuase I've managed to avoid sewing up till now also ... I just feel like if I wanted to sew I would have bought a sewing machine :dizzy: ... I'll let you know if I break out in hives
InControl Thanks for the welcome! I haven't been to McDonalds in forever either ... :) I just remember eating it by the lb in HS ... wondering how I did that? Mickey Dees is not what I've missed the most either ... I'm think Mexican Food, Carrabbass, Quiznos ... mmm :hungry:
In general today has been pretty lazy ... I live near Myrtle Beach and apparently we have an unamed hurricane  b/c it is raining buckets here ... I love rainy days but I hate wet socks.

Ash - LOL, I may have a cream for the hives  I get ADD with my projects and start a million at once. I generally have at least 4-6 projects in the works all at one time haha.
Also, I may have fixed my digital scale. I left the battery out for a while so it could sort of reset itself and after lunch I put the battery back in and it read 186.5... which would be about right by lunch I usually eat/drink 1.5lb-2lb soooo hopefully tomorrow morning it's correct!

I have a question about my digital scale also ... Some mornings I wake up get on it and it will be 10 or 15 lbs (up or down) ... Or I can get on it several times and the weight will vary within a few pounds ... Is this something to do with digital scales? :?: so very confused

Hey everybody,
Man it was a long day here. I have a big work project to finish up tomorrow that could end up saving a lot of people a lot of money, plus I have to prepare everything I procrastinated on this month for my Habitat for Humanity board meeting. It's going to be crazy tomorrow. And I just remembered I have a schedule to prepare for my other other job (ski instructor) which has a training tomorrow night. Gah!!
I got in a nice long workout to relieve the stress today. It's nuts, when I'm in the car on my way home from work I feel so tense that my jaw clenches up and my teeth start hurting, but within a few minutes on a spin bike, all that goes away. I did my strength training, including building up to doing an unassisted chin up (currently I can do 8 reps lifting half my weight), and also jumped up the stairs a couple of times bc I heard it's really good for bone density and we used to do it for Volleyball training, and I remember really improving my jumping height. I got on the scale and TOM water weight was all gone, plus any extra I was retaining from my food overload of a weekend, and I was back to maintenance level. So that was good.
I came home and I made a whole bunch of food for the rest of the week and the weekend. I had a bunch of veggies to use, and last night I made a huge stirfry with some of them, so I mixed that with some cous cous (I was getting sick of eating it plain) and portioned it out into 3 tupperwares. Then I made a tomato sauce with some of the squash and zucchini I have, and added beans and spinach to the base I made from a can of italian style tomatoes that my bf left at the house. So I probably have at least 4 pasta with sauce meals plus 3 cous cous with veggies meals, and for dinner I didn't eat any of it bc I had pitas and cheese going bad so I took some of the sauce and made a pita pizza. Then hit the Halloween candy as per usual.
So, that was a totally riveting narrative of my day, lol. If you actually read it, I hope your head didn't explode from excitement ;)

2 Weeks until Thanksgiving!
Last night/this morning I was having a dream that I was staying over my boyfriend's and he told me to wake up because he had to go to class, so I did (for real) and then I couldn't go back to sleep. So I'm like aaaauuuuughh. And I'm in a lazy mood because of the rain.
I also am pretty sure my digital scale is fixed. It read 186 this morning, so I guess my non-digital is more off than I thought it was? I don't know, I didn't go down to the basement and collaborate with it lol. I'm not worried because between my already planned workout schedule, and my date night with the boy tomorrow night with the ice skating and probably tumbles, I should be fine weight-wise. I'll be burning LOTS of calories lol.
ETA: I just did my progress picture for this month! I posted it in my progress picture thread and our photo album :)

I may be coming down with a cold, I'm trying to head it up at the pass, so I'm going to go home, make chicken soup and just REST. Its no wonder with how I've been running around the past month that I'm a little sniffly, but I don't want this to turn into something major.

Oh my goodness, I cannot stop eating today!!! I have been absolutely starving all day long!!! I made the mistake of eating some dry cereal though because it was really hard to stop. My TOM is definitely rearing its ugly head, but hopefully the intense cravings will go away really soon! I still managed to go to the gym and did an extra long workout because of the food I've been stuffing in my face all day long. So I guess it could be worse?
I am going away tomorrow for the weekend with a friend of mine to a skating competition and I am so freaking excited!!! I will be on the "skating event" diet...meaning, we smuggle in granola bars and pretty much eat three granola bars a day! haha I can't wait :)

Hooollllyyy craaaaaap I kicked my butt in my workout session today. I realized I could have just done C25K and ONE of my added 2 workouts instead of both when I totaled the calorie burn on Spark People. But I worked hard and I always feel good about that :) I did my C25K W3D2, Lisa Rinna's Rhumba lesson (Rhumba is fun!!!) AND Kendell Hogan's Enviga Bootcamp Calorie Burn T___________T
And even though I kinda just want to shower and go to sleep right now I still need to make dinner and do my classwork (I hate these professors and thinking that their classes are so damn important that I need to have a paper and whatnot due ever day. Chele - that sounds like an awesome weekend. And kudos to you for working out extra :)
I got home from work, went to Sears where they had TV trays on sale - 4 for $35 and they even match my couch - went to Bloom, then put the trays together while I made soup and bread. I'm waiting on the bread to have my second bowl of soup, then I plan on passing out. Jury is still out on if I'm going to work tomorrow. I can only breathe through one nostril and the sinus pressure HURTS.

Stella - <3 LOL! Yes, I'd definitely say I worked out enough for the both of us! I hope you feel better tomorrow!
Omg. Ooooooomg. I have a new chicken recipe. And it's delicious. I had LOTS of calories left over for today so I opted to make chicken, asparagus, and the risotto I've been eyeing for a while in my pantry lol (high on calories - blah! but high in protein and low in fat!). I couldn't decide on whether I wanted to make a lemon garlic chicken or a spicy cajun chicken since I've been on a real spice kick lately. I asked my brothers what they were in the mood for and they said they wanted both. So I made a spicy cajun lemon garlic chicken - soooo good! And really easy, it cooked while I showered :D
What I did was coat the chicken with lemon juice until there was about 1" of juice in the pan, then I seasoned the chicken with a cajun jerk seasoning (if you don't have that, just make your own with crushed red pepper, cayenne, paprika, etc), pepper, ground rosemary, minced garlic, and a little bit of hot sauce. Then I baked it in the oven for 30-45 minutes at 350.

Mary- That chicken sounds delish! I love cooking and finding new recipes. I might give it a shot. You are my little cookbook :)
Im feeling not myself today. I have been sick to my stomach for the last couple of days and its driving me nuts. I eat something and literally 3 minutes later im on the toilet. (TMI I know)
I have still been able to stay OP and work out but its frustrating because I feel like im not seeing the results that I want. Why cant we just wake up skinny?
Im a tiny bit sore from last night as I decided I would try Jillians No More Trouble Zones after doing the 30DS. So needless to say my thighs are a little sore but nothing I cant handle. I got my daily walk in this morning and trying to decide what to eat for lunch.. hmmmmm

Hi Ladies,
My computer crashed on Thursday so I have been MIA...it seems to be up and running again though, :crossed:
pammy- sorry you aren't feeling well...and amen on waking up skinny!
Platform- you should write a cook book! You always make me hungry, lol.
stella- i remember when I first started wearing shirts tucked in again...it had literally probably been since before I hit puberty.
As for me, holy water retention batman. My gourmet food binge over the weekend coincided with TOM, so Monday I was up to 137. I got on the scale at the gym last night, and was 131. Partly it was water, and partly it was a big unexpected whoosh, bc my body looks different too...you can actually see abs!! I think it's the weight training I've started to do. I'm not trying to lose any more weight, but I am trying to build muscle.
Partly, I really don't know what my average daily calorie balance was before June 2009, so I don't know where I'm going to end up weight-wise with this new lifestyle of mine. I guess it's conceivable that the amount I actually need to eat when I'm paying attention to my nutrition supports a lower body weight than I thought it would. I didn't realize how badly I was overeating before, I guess.

Pammy - Let me know how you like it if you try it!
Forest - Lol, I do have all of the recipes I write scribbled on paper and stuck into the pages of my other cookbooks :3 Congrats on the abs! I'm hoping that my skin will snap back relatively well since I do a lot of core training in my workouts.
New favorite brunch/snack:
4" pancakes (75 calories per pancake, I had 2)
2 tbsp. of organic (200 cal) or reduced fat (190 cal) peanut butter in place of butter.
YUM YUM YUM YUM!!! And filling! For 340 calories, I'm excited that my friend made me this for lunch today :D After she showers we're taking the dogs for a walk.
Ice skating with my boyfriend was ADORABLE last night, we had so much fun :D We raced, we went slow and held hands, and we teased each other by pushing one another (gently) and trying to make the other one fall, and then he'd come up behind me and push me while he skated lol. It was cute. Then we went back to my house for a little bit and, well, the obvious :P LOL. Still, with all the calories I burned yesterday I'm down to 185 day :carrot: on the digital scale, so hopefully I can see 184.9 by Sunday for official weigh in!

Hello ladies.
So I had a bit of an h1n1 scare yesterday. I felt like absolute CRAP Thursday night - I wound up running out of my apartment at midnight to get sinus decongestant because I just couldn't sleep, then I woke up and was in so much pain I was like EFF IT and drugged myself back to sleep. I am then awoken by my friend Jessie (whom I spent all of last weekend with) saying she was just diagnosed with h1n1. I don't think I've ever vaulted myself out of bed, into the shower, and to the doctors any quicker, but I do not have h1n1, just a b*tch of a sinus infection. I have 4 prescriptions (antibiotics, nasal spray, cough syrup with codeine, and 800 mg ibuprofen) and after one day of rest and medication I feel a lot better, but I'm apparently up 4 lbs in water retention. I looked at the scale and had another eff it moment, and went back to bed. I've been living on my homemade chicken soup for the past 3 days, so a gain of 4 lbs isn't realistic. I just hope this crap is cleared up before Monday, when I have my super long day of work and school.
And yeah, I tried getting on the site yesterday/Thursday, it was NOT working.

I'm needing a pat on the back ... I'm totally skimming around 3FC b/c I have two more papers to write today (on top of the 3 I already wrote) :book2: ... I'm on this site just wasting time instead of getting stuff done.
Anyone else ever do that? :?: lol

I don't usually post in this chat but I'm kind of bored today and procrastinating.
So what have you all been up to? I went shopping yesterday; it was fun. I got two shirts at Sears (I swear, I get 80% of my store-bought clothes there!). I meant to only get one but I couldn't choose!!!! So I spent 35 dollars... eeeep. But I couldn't resist. How many others of you have a love affair with shopping now that you've lost weight?
Today I just have to do HOMEWORK. Ugh. But I can do it!

megwini- i think i have replaced eating with shopping. I'm really breaking the bank with everything I'm buying, as you can see from my blog...I now have 6 pairs of jeans, and 4 other pairs of pants I can wear...who does that?

Forest - I do that. Except I refuse to buy clothes right now, I'm just making due on the hand-me-downs I'm getting from my cousin. I'm buying like...furniture...or organizing stuff. I went to IKEA today and got this shelf for my microwave and convection oven/rotisserie (so now I have counter space) and then I bought a bath tub organizer, and throw pillows, and yeah. This is bad.
I was feeling slightly better and I think the fresh air did me good, but now its time to pass out on the couch...

Forest - I'm jealous! I'm living in ONE pair of jeans right now! I'd put on the 2 pairs of 14s I have, but I need a belt or I'll be pulling them up all the time. I can't wait til goal so I can have clothes!
I'm under my calories by about 180 today. I'm thinking when I get home I'll have a banana and... I don't know what else. Arg.

I should be following your guys' examples and not buying clothes till i've settled into a size, but i didn't think i'd be shrinking that much...i own pants in size 6 to size 12 right now. and i can still wear the 12s with a belt, though yeah, not that flattering. but i am done till xmas! (at which point all bets are off)

I just inherited like 4 pairs of jeans. I haven't bought jeans in forever. It has worked out in my favor because my sister use to be smaller,so I give her my big clothes and she gives me her small clothes. Only bad thing is all the jeans she gave me are regular length and I need tall so I have to pull them down when I sit down or there super high waters but hey they were free.

A couple months ago I tried on a bunch of designer jeans in size 29, and the only ones that fit were citizens dita petite bootcut, out of like 30 pairs of citizens, 7s, and rock and republic. i didn't end up getting them bc they are like $150, but my friend who came up for halloween has a couple of pairs of citizens in 29 that are too short for her so she's going to give them to me when I see her next week :) They'll be too long for me (she's 6') but I'm willing to pay to have them hemmed :) so yeah, another 2 pairs of jeans coming my way, lol. i'm going to give some of my bigger ones to the salvation army, I guess. yay for free jeans :)

Pammy - Love the new avatar!
I haven't weighed in yet this morning... the digital scale is in my parents bathroom and lately they've been sleeping in til 9 on Sundays :| Blerg.
I didn't sleep well last night. My cousin is here for the weekend and he always takes my aunt's bed (since our basement pullout couch is broken) and that bumps her into sharing a bed with me. Well, when I got home last night she was passed out in the middle of my bed hogging all of the covers and pillows. Luckily, my brother just moved into the sunroom and he was hanging out with his friends in the basement so I stole his bed. I fell asleep watching Glee and all was right (despite a much firmer mattress than mine). About two hours later, my brother and his friends came in and they wanted to play a game, but my brother noticed my things and that I was sleeping in the bed. Well, I guess his friend didn't. His friend hopped into the bed, tripped over me, and sucker punched me in the vagoo by accident - worst way to be woken up ever. He apologized, as did my brother, and they decided to go back to the basement.

Anyway :)
Forest - new clothes are always fun. I've always had a lot of clothes, I think its because I went to a Catholic highschool and wore the same thing ever day for 4 years - I'm now trying to make up for it by rotating my clothes once a month or something. Its a problem.
I just switched out my summer/winter clothes last night and I'm SO excited. There are so many things I forgot I had, and that will now fit me, no questions asked. I'm so glad I got rid of all my smaller work pants, because I feel like it will kind of prevent me from gaining weight if I don't have any pants to wear. :) :)

Stella - That's always exciting! I went through that when I switched my clothes out, but I was sad to find that I must have gotten rid of the 11/12 pants (I had 3 or 4 pairs that I was desperately clinging on to for a few years) I used to have.
I just spent the better part of my morning discovering (and falling in love with) ModCloth ("http://modcloth.com). I want sooooo much from that site, including a dinosaur ice cube tray for my 21st birthday lol!
I also noticed today that I'm exactly 10 points away from my goal BMI, which is cool :D That's still a long while away since 1 BMI point is like 5lbs for me.

stella- I went to an all-girls school for 10 years (3rd-12th) and we had uniforms too, so I definitely feel ya on making up for lost time.
platform- I love modcloth!!!! I don't understand their sizing though. I haven't actually bought anything from there yet, but I love to ogle the new stuff that comes on every day. Also, if you see something you like, look for it on google or amazon bc sometimes you can get it cheaper. I got a pair of BC shoes modcloth was selling for $60 for $25 on amazon.

Forest- Awesome, thanks for the tip! I've noticed things on the site that I've seen in Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters and a funky art store I found in the Seattle airport. I don't get their sizing, either and I ranted to my friend in fashion about it for an hour hahahaha! They describe it as "least misleading", but it's ridiculous because you have to search through your closet to see if you have something matching the measurements (because all garments are different, so they're ALL going to have different measurements) rather than just measuring yourself! It's... I'm getting worked up again over it, never mind LOL!

Mary- Ouch talk about a brutal way to wake up. Way to go on being so close to your BMI goal though!
Everytime I hear someone say there changing out there winter clothes It makes me laugh. Living in Florida we wear summer clothes all year round our idea of "winter" clothes is a hoodie or a light jacket over our summer clothes haha.
Im actually going to the bike path today YAY. Its been forever since I have rode my bike and im sure hes mad at me (yes my bike is a male lol) Me and my sister use to ride every Sunday but her husband got involved with racing and we just didn't get chances to go anymore. So im super excited to be going today plus its gorgeous outside. Hope everyones having a awesome day today!

Pammy - Lol, last winter I was down in Orlando with my friend to go to Disney and it was 65 in the morning and we were HIGHLY amused to see some people walking around in winter parkas and pea coats. We were in shorts and t-shirts and sunbathing hahaha! And yes, it was not very fun to wake up that way :[ Have fun on your bike ride! I'm debating taking my dog to the dog park if I have time today, but there's a chance it's still muddy from all of the rain.
Soo, I'm on a breakfast for lunch kick lol. Yesterday was pancakes, today is scrambled eggs, salsa, and a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese (I REALLY need to go hunting for low cal cheese, because there is no way a pinch of cheese is really that many calories! ARG!) on toast :3 I ate it open faced and it was delliiiiccciouussss! OH, and I had some yogurt with it! 349 cals of yummy yummy brunch! (even though I've already had breakfast...)

Mary- Sounds about right, we cant handle the cold. You should have seen me the first time in Chicago which was also the first time seeing snow, and OMG I was FREEEEEEZING. I wouldn't let go of my bf for nothing, but he didn't seem to mind it much though. I LOVE breakfast for lunch and dinner. Who decided that eggs and pancakes are breakfast food anyways? I also need to get some healthier cheese. I love it and put it on almost everything. Ugh why is cheese so tasty? Dont you wish we craved cardboard sometimes instead of high calorie foods?

Pammy - You crack me up lol  Yes, I wish I could crave air and cardboard and anything else as much as I craved the high calorie stuff lol. It's not so much that I love cheese (I have a weird relationship with cheese...), but I can't have eggs without cheese! I'm used to the cold, and I loooove it - but I AM a lot colder more often now that I'm losing my insulation lol. I probably won't be skiing with my jacket open this year! lol

So everyone is talking about switching out their summer for their winter clothes, and I am super excited to be doing this as well. The only thing is; I'm donating my summer clothes. I have until about June before it will even be warm enough, and my size 18/20 shorts are not going to fit me very well by then. I have to wear a belt with everything now or else they fall down, and I'm pretty sure I would fit fine into a 16 now, but I'm not going to buy clothes, because I know my mom will want to give me some for Christmas. :)
This is so exciting for me, it almost makes me cry. I haven't worn a 16 since like middle school... in high school I was in a size 22/24 at times.
And another thing that makes me cry is that there is this amazing guy who has been spending time with me nearly every day, and on the days he's not, he's e-mailing me a couple times. We've been friends awhile, but the past few weeks have just been like this, and I adore him. We haven't really talked about where our stance is, nor called anything that we're doing together "dating", so I don't know. He'll like bring over supper when I get out of work, and we talk and go for walks, and he wants to take me on a roadtrip next weekend to show me his hometown. !!! I've never been involved in a relationship. I've avoided guy my whole life, but I don't know what's come over me now... increased self confidence??

Mary- Eggs without cheese is just pointless haha. I agree 100% on that one. I gave up eating eggs all together for a while because I didnt want to have to put cheese on it. Im going to have to get use to the cold sooner or later considering I plan on moving there. I bought my first "winter" coat last year when I went to Chicago and now its too big and I really didnt want to have to buy a new one. (Im going up to Chicago after Christmas) Looks like im just going to have to make it work I guess.
Everlasting- I know how you feel. I wore 16s about 5 years ago for all of maybe a month before I shot up to 22s. I am now wearing 14s and im officially smaller than I have ever been. I cried the moment I got to bag up my 5 year old 16s that I kept as motivation to get back into. I use to look at them everyday and wonder how I EVER wore them and now looking at 14s I still dont realize I can fit into those tiny looking pants. Grats on the new boy toy! You are doing great and I wish you the best of luck! Go get em girl!

Everlasting - Ooooh, good luck with the boy! Keep us updated :) I'm doing the same thing with my summer clothes - though I've kept some of my longer shirts that have now become shirt dresses on me. I told my mom and my family not to even get me any clothes for the holidays, because I'd rather pick out my own things (I usually prefer doing this anyway) and I don't want to shop for clothes until I'm at goal.

Hey Gals!
Long time no see! I have been totally slacking on doing weight loss as of recent and life has been so crazy crazy busy. I am going to do another one of those newbie profiles because I think alot of stuff has changed even in the last few months since I have been MIA. But I am back for good. I am going to the gym tomorrow for the first time in 2 months. I smell a small victory coming already.

Welcome back Bee!! Good luck at the gym tomorrow :)
I just got back from my step-sister's wedding in FL; it was a short trip (I left Friday after work and was back in WI today by noon), but it was great to spend a whole day in warm, sunny weather! I'm really proud of myself for making generally good choices, eating- and exercise-wise (I actually got up early and went to the gym yesterday!), with the exception of one slip up this morning.
I had to the hotel at 5:30 am to get to the airport in time for my flight, so I wake up super early and the zipper on my suitcase completely snapped off. There was no way to get it back on (and nowhere to buy a new suitcase at 5:30 am on a Sunday), so I pulled out the stuff I'll need right away and called up my dad, who's going to ship the remaining stuff back to me.
By that point, I was running pretty late and I still hadn't had a chance to get breakfast, so I wound up grabbing a ham, egg and cheese breakfast pocket from one of the restaurants in the airport. It wasn't the best choice, but I didn't have a lot of time to shop around and find the healthiest option. But I compensated by getting a green tea as a snack on my layover and eating a healthy, lower calorie lunch when I got home.
I'm curious to see what the scale will say tomorrow at my official weigh in, with the traveling, wedding food and TOM, but I'm not worried about it - if it's high, I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to get back on track right away.
Hope everyone else's weekends were great!!

Welcome back Bee!
Smisen - Glad you had fun at the wedding! That really sucks about your luggage though :C
ETA: My mom was asking me questions about weight loss at dinner today (she's a trend dieter) and it made me happy because she's trying to eat right and I was able to bestow some wisdom on her for once! She also asked me about spin classes and if I would take one with her (HECK YES! I've been dying to try spinning!) soooo ladies that spin: can you give me some info about how many days a week you take a class and if you need to be a member of a gym to take a class?

I miss spinning :(
There's a YMCA around the corner, I have to see if they have classes. Their fees are usually pretty low, so I can possibly afford it.
And okay, speaking of eggs, I bought this chili butter at the food expo last week. Yes, its butter, but its got tons of chili in it, so you only need about half a tablespoon. I put it in egg whites - so good and it makes up for lack of cheese.
Okay. So tomorrow it is back on the darn wagon. I'm going to sleep soon, and I will get up tomorrow and do some exercise. Tomorrow is my long day, but I should be able to squeeze 30 minutes in before work. I'm feeling lots better, and I just took Sudafed so I'm nice and uncongested for sleep.
