40-Somethings - OT: today I am thankful for....

Today I am thankful for the great friends I have!

Being employed full-time at a job I love.

Where do I start??? Today I am thankful for my DH and the two precious little boys in my life! With whom I spent this nippy, lazy Sunday with. Thank you. My three boyz are my life! :flow2::flow2::flow2:

Today I'm thankful that my DS8 & DH recovered from H1N1 and that my DS10 and I never got it.

today I am thankful my 3 kids, and 3 grandkids are all healthy!

I work as a grant writer for a non-profit organization that does amazing work for children with disabilities. I was supposed to send a request to this foundation for a lot of money but by mistake sent it later than I was supposed to. I thought I had lost the organization the money and felt absolutely terrible! HOWEVER - they just told us they are going to give us a really (really!) large grant!

Feeling very, very thankful...

Today (and everyday) I am grateful for having Mack in my life.

For my health and my job. I work with lots of people who have neither.

Cat-I'm with you today. I used to work at the VA. I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly of this. I'm also thankful for no significant damage from Tropical Storm Ida.

Yesterday (which I forgot to post) I was thankful for how well my DS10 did handling a big decision in his life. He had to choose from 3 Boy Scout troops, which one he wanted to join, and he went about it with a very thoughtful and pragmatic approach. He was decisive, but thorough. That's a good skill to have, which hopefully will serve him well in life.

Today I am thankful for my boys' good behavior. There are times when they don't behave as well as I like, but this morning I needed to conduct a telephone interview for work while they were still home and I needed them to get off to school themselves, quietly and with no bickering (usually a hard task in the morning). They really took it seriously and rose to the occasion; I was proud.

today I am thankful for the freedoms we enjoy - and grateful to those who served, gave their lives, and are currently serving so we can continue to enjoy that freedom!

Today (and every day for that matter) I am thankful for my dear mother. She and I have always been best friends and I love her so much and hope to someday, be able to do for her what she has for me. I love you momma! :hug:
