Mini-Goal Photo Album - 160 lbs lost pictures!!!

Well one pound shy of 160 lbs lost... but I was dressed and hubby had the camera. Excuse the jammy pics... all kids have the dreaded swine flu. lol!

Your life must be much better, it has to be! I just reached 76 lbs lost this week and I'm so excited, but I do have so far to go, I'm hoping to lose a total of 170lbs... My secret? Is that there... is no secret. Hard work, determination, sticktuitiveness... those I guess are the secrets.
I planned every single days food in advance and STUCK TO IT.
I strung on plan days together... one after the other.
I gave up the foods that were in my way of achieving my goal.
I forgave myself if I made a mistake and moved on.
I came here DAY AFTER DAY.
I asked for and GAVE support.
I surrounded myself with like minded people.
I gave up my "just a bites."
I ate whole foods that were healthful for me.
If I wanted an indulgance I planned for it.
If things were not working I changed them.

and most of all? I NEVER EVER EVER gave up. Ever. I moved on. From every single slip and mistake. I LOVED MYSELF and and love myself enough to do this for myself.

There is no magic bullet or pill. There is just a string of tiny successes that I have strung together day after day. And that is why YOU can do this too. Anyone can.

That really IS a secret though. I think most people don't realize that the key to success is not succeeding 100% of the time but 90% of the time. Messing up doesn't make you fail, it is just a speed bump to test your persistence. But too many people quit when they mess up even a little bit and let all their hard work go to waste for nothing.

By the way, you look amazing! I weigh about 160 now so it's like you lost an entire one of me! (and I'm no tiny thing... I'm 5'10"!) Wow. I'm impressed. You go, girl!

I seriously had tears in my eyes when I read your 'secrets'. There is no way to achieve what you have without all of the things that you listed. Life is like that isn't it - good things don't come easily and when they do, it usually doesn't last. The same is to be said of weight loss.

I hope you are really proud of yourself. You have inspired hundreds of people on here and in your life I am sure of it. You definitely inspired me.

What an amazing job you have accomplished....so far. Like many others here have said, seeing your pictures and then reading your "plan" simply put tears in my eyes. I have never had to lose as much as you have done, and as much as your gonna(!) and yet I gripe and complain to myself how "hard" it is to lose 20 pounds. I should be ashamed of myself, really. I know that I am getting close to my goal weight, but dang girl! Reading your plan has literally lit a fire under my ars. hehe... Thank you so much for sharing...I look forward to reading your goal story and looking at pictures of you when you get there...
