I haven't exercised in a week as I had the flu. I plan on doing some cardio this afternoon now that I am feeling better.

Thanks Narnia!:D aww sorry to hear you had the flu. thats really good that you rested, as you're not meant to exercise when your sick, your body needs lots of rest to fight off the virus.

Let's work hard in November!!
My goals will be to exercise 23 days and 1100 minutes.
November 1:
46 minutes elliptical

Today I did some Blue Team Challenges/Dares and got an awesome workout!!!!!
First I cleaned my house as fast as I could for 10 minutes, then:
Jogged/Walked in place for 10 minutes
20 Jumping jacks
20 Crunches
Jumped rope 100 times (PHEW) Inhaler used at this point...
3 sets of 15 Shoulder backs
3 sets of 12 Forward Arm Raises
Steps ups for 10 minutes w/2 lb weights doing bi-ceps curls at the same time.
3x of 12 Tri-cep kickbacks
6x of 12 Hammer curls
6x of 10 Lateral Raises
2x of 10 Dry Land swimming
3x of 10 Supermans
Altogether not including the cleaning was 30 minutes!!!! I sweated my butt off!!!!

how do u post the little ticker? i m new to this site
I'm in, too, though I tend to keep it all in a single post. Something about seeing it all accumulate & add up like a really long grocery store receipt makes me feel good. Also it makes me not want to "break the chain." Though I know that it will be difficult to exercise every single day in November, as I've done in September and October, because I'll be doing some traveling this month, I really hope to keep moving. No remorse in January!!!
Nov. 1: One hour swimming class
Nov. 2: One hour bike, weights
Nov. 3: One hour elliptical, abs work
Nov. 4: One hour bike, weights
Nov. 5: One hour bike, abs work
Nov. 6: One hour elliptical, weights
Nov. 7: One hour elliptical, my second Pilates class ever
Nov. 8: One hour swimming class, weights
Nov. 9: One hour bike, abs work. Another late night at work & me feeling harried, as I always do before going on a trip. But I made myself go to the gym anyway.
Nov. 10: One hour elliptical, weights
Nov. 11: One hour bike, abs work. My doctor weighed me & said I had gained seven pounds since September. I really had to pee & had been holding it in case he needed a sample, so maybe it was more like six. But still. I must examine my eating habits & my daily intake, as I have not missed a day of exercise since my last appointment with him, and in fact, have stepped up weights & mat work on my abs considerably.
Nov. 12: One hour elliptical. Flew to LA.
Nov. 13: One hour elliptical, weights at gym at friend's apartment bldg in Culver City
Nov. 14: One hour bike, abs work, again at gym at friend's place
Nov. 15: No exercise. :-( Up late after wedding the night before, flew all day from LA to NY.
Nov. 16: One hour elliptical, Pilates class
Nov. 17: One hour elliptical, weights
Nov. 18: One hour bike, weights. The gym at the office suddenly has new faces. Why all at once, I wonder?
Nov. 19: One hour bike, abs work. More new faces at the gym. Compensating for Thanksgiving already?
Nov. 20: One hour elliptical, weights
Nov. 21: One hour elliptical, Pilates class

Well I joined curves today was my third day...i plan to continue 3-5xms per week. I go with my mom which is a great encouragement. I enjoy it alot it's only ladie so i feel comfortable and it's something i can stick to. My goal for November is to be consistant in attendance, weekly weigh in and continue to follow my eating regime 6 smalls meals a day so far so good first week 5 lbs off.....
By November 30th I have strict goal of dropping 20lbs
I'm also using alli which does keep me accountable and so far works wonders

I just got in 25 minutes of interval training on the treadmill (I actually ENJOYED the part when I ran). I really really really didn't want to go but I made myself and I'm glad I did. :)

Hi everyone, I came here to admit that I haven't worked out even one day in November :o I have really been struggling to get going again after being sick. I have to stop with the excuses and just do it! Coming here and reading everyone's posts has got me motivated again, so I will be starting my workout in a few minutes.
readytobeme - that's wonderful that you and your mom are going to Curves together!
Ez - sorry to hear that you need to have surgery. I hope everything goes smoothly and that you have a speedy recovery.

tommorow is my rest day. since i've been working out 6 days in a row since last saturday and need my body to rest, even though oddly enough i dont want to! but i know i must!! jillian michaels talks about how working out is the architect and resting is the builder. when your working out, your creating tiny micro tears and then rest is when your body heals the muscles creating stronger leaner muscles. so its when you rest that you're building a stronger leaner body! so that makes me feel less guilty taking the day off tommorow from exercise :)

Today I did.
1. 55 minutes of Jillian Michaels : no more trouble zone dvd
(boy was i sweating! she takes no breaks, i have to pause the dvd though!).
then I did 29 minutes of the biggest loser cardio max dvd. i wanted to workout for 2 hours , but after 1 and half hours, my tummy started growling and i was feeling tired and hungry. so i thought its not worth it. as your body needs fuel to workout, and if your working out and your hungry your body will only start to metabolism lean muscle! which i dont want.
Total: 6 days: 454 minutes (7.6 hours) (32%) done / 1440 minutes (goal)

I had a major binge last night (sunday) , excess of 1000 calories! so i had to workout for 2 hours (last night sunday) to burn it all off!
did 2 hours of alternative jogging on the spot and step. i have so learnt my lesson!!

i know - my discipline went out the window, it happens from time to time, no one can be perfectly on plan all of the time. as long as most of the time you are on track.. its hard being disciplined all of the time. but i try my best. its not easy. but yeh you're right I definately need to be more disciplined if i want to get to my goal weight :drill: i just fell of the wagon, i dont even know why i did it. i guess i just really wanted those doritos! i'm not buying them anymore, i cant trust myself if they are in the house.
i alternated between running on the spot and doing step ups

We all could be more disciplined but as long as we keep putting more feet forward than back we will be ok.
Took the dogs out for 3.5 on a gorgeous morning here...sweatshirt and short weather. Did 2 on the treadmill after we got back.
Angie is off tomorrow so we will probably go to the beach and walk then breakfast at the outside cafe...mutts love that!

light walking and step ups - 94 minutes
thursday - rest
friday -
workout 1 bike - 53 minutes. workout 2 - circuit training - 44 minutes
saturday -
workout 1: biggest loser cardio max - 63 minutes.
workout 2: c25k week 3, then interval wind sprints - 53 minutes
Total: 16 days: 1286 minutes (21.4 hours) (89%) done // 1440 minutes (goal for the month)
