WELCOME!!
to the November exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!
In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!
In 2007 the 300+ club exercised 205,352 minutes. Let’s break that record!
To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as

We have joined our local gym & pool today I am really excited about getting my mojo back exercise wise :) Very exciting am going to start swimming first as confidence a bit low for the gym just yet. Need to get a wriggle on :)

Well, didn't quite make my Oct goal, but I'm gonna leave it at the same level. Probably going to have to pick up some treadmill time, since it's getting dark earlier, now.

Hope I read enough of the thread to post this correctly. Found you guys half way through the month but I've been tracking my activity over at LiveStrong so here goes:
My goal for exercise in November was one hour per day, 5 days per week for a total of 1200 minutes.
One for every 100 minutes: :barbell::barbell::barbell::barbell::barbell: :barbell::barbell:
As of November 14, 2009 I'm at 750 for the month which includes daily dog walking, strength training about 2 - 2.5 times per week and hiking with my daughter occasionally for good measure.
My favorite strength training body weight exercise are the plank exercises by Lauren Brooks (YouTube, Lauren Brooks, plank, pregnancy recovery) and weighted is RKC Kettlebell lifting, doing swings or Tabata Thrusters.
Personal: 750/1200
Group Total: 5,770 + 750 = 6520

Went to bed content and then woke up with right elbow pain that was an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. I seem to have slept wrong (?). The pain was so severe, I worried it was cardiac for a few minutes. After I figured out how to get up and get moving, I did my Z-Health drills to realign my spine and I think I'm alright now. Took hours of doing small movements with rest breaks to reduce the pain, I'm just grateful it is so much better.
Tomorrow I'll see my Kettlebell/Z-Health instructor, Jen Waak of Move Fit Fun (dot) com, and if she can't show me how to restore it to 100%, I'll go see my physician. Thinking that injury only means I train a different body part as opposed to not at all, I cleaned my kitchen left-handed (tough since I'm right-handed) and walked the dog. I also cooked for the cat and dog. :chef: Just learned that pumpkin settles the cats stomach after shedding season. First time in my life I've made a pumpkin garlic omelet...the cat ate every drop.

Saw Jen Waak of Move Fit Fun (dot) com and she was very helpful with correcting the elbow pain I posted about yesterday. Z-Health cam shafts were my first thought to do at home and very effective. We had our once a week work out. Couldn't lift very much but we're working on it. On a frustrating note, I gained a pound since last week. I do not like plateaus but I despise upticks, even if they are illusion. Plank work is getting better and my visual muscle drills paid off. [If I win the lottery, I'll pay her to train me 5 days out of 7. Need one day for adventures and Sunday is family hike day after church.]

Looks like I last posted my exercise on 11/13. I track everything on a spreadsheet so I'll just add my total since then.
11/14 - 11/26 = 655
Personal Total: 740 + 655 = 1395 :)

Lets get caught up:
Mon = 25 min dog walking
Tues = 40 min dog walking
Wed = 30 minutes packing car (carrying stuff up and down steps) + 15 minutes dog walking
Thurs = 60 minutes walking dog.
Frid = 30 minutes dog walking
Sat = 25 minutes walking dog
Sun = 45 minutes dog walking and 45 minutes raking leaves.
PERSONAL GOAL = 775 + 315 = 1090/1000:carrot::carrot:

November Exercise: 1635/1200 minutes, Next month I need to set a higher goal!
Goal for exercise in November was one hour per day, 5 days per week for a total of 1200 minutes.
Today I am grateful for my new, smaller waistline. I've lost around 6 inches in 6 months. This week I wore my long thermal underwear that didn't fit last winter. Not only that but I wore them under my "skinny/tight" jeans and the jeans still needed to be belted (or fall off of me over my hips).
Time for some new clothes. Anyone own Levi's 501's in a 52/32 black or 50/32 blue (any) that they want to re-home?

I hadn't been online due to illness/family member in the hospital. I didn't make my goal in November, as my Internship takes up 10 hours of my day everyday. :( Doesn't leave me much time to breathe, let alone exercise. At least I'll be finished mid-December!
I have 450 more mins to add on, though.
15,810 + 450 = 16,260 mins.
