Good Morning girls and HAPPY FRIDAY :)
First off snow- it snowed all day but because it was a little warmer it was nothing but slush and this morning roads are wet but no signs of snow on the roads that is, not really sure how much we got
On a good note I lost 2.2 pounds this week so not as big as last 2 weeks but it was bound to slow down at some point and I know that
Now we will be going out of town this weekend but you know what I will eat a little off plan I am sure but for the most part I am sticking to it, it really has been alot of portion control on my behalf so when we do go out to eat because it is always such huge portions we will share and I already informed him of that- during this last 3 weeks DH has lost 18 pounds so he is A OK with sharing this weekend :)
Colleen I seen DH is having garage sale today or tomorrow - sounds like he is feeling better but how about you?
Girls have a great weekend and I will check in Sunday Night when we get back

Reda - CONGRATS!! TO YOU AND DH!!! :carrot: those are awesome losses!!! glad the snow is melted, and hope you have a great weekend :D
I did the Denise Austin 'Sizzler' tape, its cardio intervals with strength intervals; but I did stepping with hand held weights as the cardio parts instead of her ahem, cheesy dancing
good morning Tammy and Colleen!
hope everyone has a great day

This pneumonia is just kicking my tail this week! I was back to see the doc for another shot in the butt to hopefully get over this! Now DH is sick too! Uggghh! I feel bad for him. He had a rummage sale planned and advertised weeks ago. We went through with it, and had a good turn out , selling some big ticket items, but we were less than organized! Tim can't eat much--soup broth has been his diet since Tuesday! I would benefit from that as well!!! I have lost a few pounds. I think it must have been the weight of any humor I had, as right now nothing is funny! Hurting, coughing, snotting...kind of dampens the spirits around here! We are happy to have finalized the house sale! It will be good to be "normal" again with 1 house to worry about. Sorry I haven't been on. I've got some catching up to do! Thank you all for the get well wishes. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

Monday is looking promising. I am able to breathe for the first time in many days! DH not doing as well. He hasn't been sick in 10 years! He's in tough shape! Back to the dentist, and maybe even to the doctor for him tomorrow. Not preparing meals has had me not eating well, but on the bright side--I lost 3 pounds! I had given up on my birthday goal, but I'm going to give it a last ditch effort to redeem myself! Even if I don't quite make it by my birthday. ;)
You all must be having a busy weekend. No doubt out on the cycles! Hope you had time to enjoy them anyway! Tim got his HD home (by trailer) and we have a few people interested in our 900 Vulcan Classic. I figured it would be the other way around--everyone would want the 1600 Vulcan Nomad.
It looked to be a beautiful day out today. From inside that is...I never went out. Hardly even moved from the couch!
Wishing you all a happy Monday! :sunny:

Hello ladies, I'm new to this site and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a fellow lady motorcyclist. I'm new to the world of motorcycling (2 years), but my husband has been riding for a while. I just got so sick of the back seat that I decided to take the jump and learn to ride my own bike. My bike is a 2007 HD Sportster 1200 Low.
One of my goals for losing weight is to increase my stamina on those long rides. Also, since most of these motorcycling clothes are made so tight, I'd love to be able to sit on my bike w/out exposing a muffin top :) Anyway, I can't wait to start chatting with you ladies.
Safe and Happy Riding to all.

Good Morning Ladies,
Colleen, I am glad you are somewhat better. I am sorry that your DH is sick though. LOL about the selling stuff cheap b/c he left you at the yard sale. You go girl! Okay..... here is the tough love part. I am sooo happy you lost 3 pounds... sorry you had to get sick to do it..... but girl, you don't give up on your bday goal. Just think of how much you weighed last bday...... it was probably 20 pounds more than you do now. You are doing great. So.... don't give up! Just fast forward to Christmas this year..... you can have a good chunk of weight gone. You can ask for hawt biker girl stuff for Christmas. Baby steps! Find things that work for you. I know you love mac and cheese.... find a way to make it healthier or eat a little less of it. Find what works for you. Like for me..... when I eat spaghetti (it is made with ground turkey and high fiber spaghetti), but instead of 2 bowls, I eat one bowl with a lot of veggies underneath--- so I can have more. This is just one way "I" can do things that are okay with me.... you just work to find your niche.
Hopeful8, Welcome! It is nice to meet you. My name is Tammy.... or ladyrider. It is nice to have another lady motorcyclist here. We welcome you to talk with us any time! I soooo understand about the muffin top and riding. I love my DH with all my heart (we are still newlyweds), but I want to look hot on my bike! I ride a 2009 Dyna Superglide. I have the same kinda story as you, my DH has ridden for many years, but he bought me a bike in 06 (1996 Honda Shadow) and I have been on my own since then.
We were married in Vegas on the bikes. There is NO way I would have made it that far if I had not lost weight!
Holly, CC,- I hope you both are doing well!
I will gab at ya a little later!

Hey girls, well we made it home safe and sound from Deadwood:) The weather was great while we were out there and heard the weather was great at home as well, darn it if we were home we would have been riding but it was a great weekend none the less :) However I did have a few to many beers, but I can say the whole weekend food, motel, gambling I only came home $140 less than I went with so that in itself was GREAT :) I am sure I have gained alittle but I was right back on track today so hopefully I will still see a loss later this week......I will be staying right on track no cheating allowed for me not much time left to lose and start maintaining
Hopeful8 - Welcome to our thread, it is great to have another fellow girl rider :) I have been riding my own for exactly 11 years this month same thing really got tired of riding with DH so ventured out and bought a Yamaha 1100 Custom then 2 years ago bought my new baby an Ironhorse Chopper :) I ride it every where not just around town like most think :)
Oh yes I hear ya about the muffin top and boy would it ever be so nice to get rid of that.
Colleen glad to hear that you are feeling somewhat better but sorry to hear DH isn't feeling so well now. Hope he gets well soon :)
Well girls off to get on the treadmil so I will check back in later
Again WELCOME hopeful8

We got to ride! Tim had to head back to the dentist, so had today off. We took a little ride after work! Fun! Just got the HD Ultra Classic home this
week. It came with jackets too! You guessed it--the womens is a size SMALL!!! At least the helmet fits! ;)
Leave it to DH to burst a bubble! My 3 pound loss got lost in the shuffle when he announced he lost 20!!! (no teeth will do that I guess!) Think I should go to the dentist?--Just kidding!:D
Hopeful8, Welcome! I recently joined this thread (couple months ago), and will happily tell you that these gals are great! Not just that they are cool, biker chicks, but they are very forgiving, supportive and "real"! I love having such awesome online friends! I'm Colleen, the heaviest of the bunch. The rest have all gone through all this hard stuff and have lots to share with me! I am grateful!
Here's to you! Your doing great! :yay:

good morning and Hi and :welcome2::welcome: Hopeful8 to our thread :D We look forward to getting to know you! :) My real name is Holly, my name here is Vermontmom and my road name is Cupcake. Same story here, my husband has ridden for years and I always enjoyed the back but really wanted to learn to ride my own. Got my endorsement (took the State's course) in 2002 and it has been a love story since :D
Tammy I didn't know you learned on a Honda Shadow! that was my first bike, the VLX 600.
Welcome back to the land of the living, Colleen!! and so glad you got to ride :scooter a bit. Congrats to your husband on being down so much but what an unpleasant way to do it! So your pneumonia is on the mend I hope??
and glad you had a FUN weekend Reda, too bad the weather was good at home too, lol but you sure enjoyed your get-a-way.
Hi Tammy :wave
Oh so now I am the odd one out here with the metric bike and everyone else has HD   I know I would fall in love with an HD if I had the opportunity to ride one but I am still loving my Honda too ;)
I have been doing terribly, like I should say 'what diet' but still working out , that's my saving grace. It probably isn't good to make excuses for me but truly when I am out of the winter job it will be so much easier to do what I'm supposed to do (and my countdown is at 30 days :D )
Our (older) son is very excited, he is looking to trade in his V-Strom towards a new (leftover 2009) Yamaha FZ1.
Last night I decorated my helmet, I hope I decide I like it! I glued on colored sparkly crystals in a cupcake pattern, it's on the front center. I spent 2 hours doing it, I hope I make myself like it! lol . I'll ask DH to take a pic so I can show you.
Well I hope to ride to work today!! it is still extremely Cold now (26 degrees) but hopefully by 10 this morning it will be alot warmer, and supposed to be sunny and a high of 55! It won't be that warm when I leave work at 6 pm but should still be fine.
I had to vacuum last night because I could see sand on the rug, ugh and I knew it would be hard to motivate myself to work out on that rug and do pushups and have my face close to an unclean rug!! so it's clean now so I'd better work out soon before it gets dirtied up again.

Good Morning Ladies.
First of all.... I need a little push. I am 1.5 pounds away from goal and our "aunt bee" or our Holly made a chocolate cake from scratch and chicken spaghetti with oozing cheese for 2 girls bday. I know if I eat the first bite of cake it will be over..... but I SOOOOO want some! I am trying to stay out of the kitchen.
Holly, I am glad you got to ride! And your helmet sounds cute. I would expect nothing less from you since you are soooo crafty. I am glad the summer job count down has begun..... that means it is getting closer. You know, I love my HD..... but I was fine on my Honda. I am glad that your DS is getting a new bike.
CC, I am glad you had a great time. Sorry you did not get to ride. And I know you are still doing great.
Colleen, I am glad DH lost weight, just not the way he did it. And your 3 pounds is awesome! I am also happy you got to ride. Isn't it great after being cooped up to get out for just a little ride? Thanks for the kind words you said to Hopeful8 about us.... I think I speak for everyone else that we really enjoy you here. You are so freaking funny!
Hopeful8..... how are you today?
Well, I need to get busy.

Hi Girls
Colleen thanks for the nice words, we are all friends on here and everyone including yourself are very supportive :) Glad to hear you got to ride and aren't those DH's the pits when it comes to weightloss, my DH has also been watching what he eats well actually he has been eating what I cook for him and he has lost over 20 pounds in like 3 weeks it takes me 2 months to lose 20 pounds :( When I see that slimquick commercial I always look at DH and say boy if that isn't the 100% truth :) he usual smiles and agrees
Ya Holly you got to ride and yes I want to see your helmet, I am looking for a new helmet and will also want to customize mine with crystals and stuff so anxiously waiting to see what you did :) 30 days till summer job - yipeee I am so excited for you :)
Oh Tammy I feel for you, it is going to be hard to pass up the cake and all but I know you will be strong because you know you only have 1.5 pounds to go so think of that when you look at that cake - think 1.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds no cake, 1.5 pounds- good luck honey you can do it
Ok girls well my turn to go get on the treadmil for the day but I think we are supppose to get some sun tomorrow finally I may get to walk outside :)
Ok girls have a great day

What an absolutely beautiful day in Colorado. I got out on my bike for the first time this season. Just a quick zip around town, but that was all I needed to get me back in the mode again.

:cupgold::kissluck: Happy St. Patrick's Day Girls!
Yay Hopeful! It is so great to get to ride after they have been put up all winter! I have gotten to ride a couple times- just around town-nowhere long distance.
CC- I know you are glad to be getting back to your normal work schedule!
Colleen- are you making progress to be among the living?
Holly- Can't wait to see you helmet pics!
Well, I ate a small sliver of cake yesterday and about 3/4 a cup of chicken spaghetti. BUT, I did not nibble the rest of the day and for supper I had 3/4 of a turkey sandwhich. So...... (drum roll)....... I weighted this AM and I am UNDER GOAL (by one pound) :cheer::cheer: But, I am not posting it as official yet. I am going to wait until my weigh day on Friday and see what the scales bring. This could just be water weight...... so, I am going to watch every little bite I eat today and see what Friday brings before I throw a party!
I have said this before...... but yesterday I was getting heck from my co workers for not eating. I got remarks like "I would rather be fat and happy than "skinny" and miserable....... or what good did it do you to lose weight if you are not going to live life". They started in on the cake at 8:35. I knew if I did that it would set off a trigger..... and I told them that..... but it went unheard. So, I waited until lunch and ate what I ate. It just bothers me b/c no one said (before I lost weight), Hey Tammy you are gaining weight or man you eat a lot..... but now that I have lost it..... they feel they have the right to comment on my size (in a negative manner) or the way I eat. I try to take it in good humor...... but man....... it gets tiring sometimes.
Thanks for listening to me vent.....
I will gab at you later. Y'all have a good day!
Tammy
