Sorry no personals today but I did read all the posts and got caught up so I wanna say, Congratz to everyone losing, rededicating and fulfilling their spiritual needs. :carrot:

I seem to have lost 1 of the 2 pounds I gained last week w/out even trying so this week, I'm actually going to try. We still haven't fixed my car but I have GOT to move this body so I am going to start out slow and do a WATP's today and get back on track with my eating. My body actually starts hurting if I don't get up and move it.

The teenaged drama seems to have taken a back-seat once again so hopefully life can get back to normal now. I still feel a little juicy in the head (sinuses I think) but it's not too bad.

Anyhoo, you girls have a Great week. I haven't kept up with what team has been winning or losing, has anyone else????

Hi guys!

I can't believe it's already Halloween at the end of the week! Is it really the end of October already?
And seeing your Christmas goal at the end of your post Diva...it's creeping up to fast!

Have a great week everyone!

Girl, don't I know it! I was just counting the weeks this morning. If I lose 2 lbs a week it'll get me at 18 pounds by Christmas, and that's close enuff!
LOL!

Anyhoo, I made us a Week 7 Food & Exercise Diary (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/biggest-loser-challenges/185082-blue-team-exercise-food-diary.html#post2987381), but I forgot to put week 7. I hope a MOD will come fix that for me. I hope I got the dates and everything correct. I obviously need more coffee this morning..

Good morning everyone :)

I've got the flu so I won't be posting much until I feel better. I don't have much of an appetite so I should be able to stay on track with food, lol. I hate not being able to exercise though.

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies!!!!

TOM is gone - WAHOO! I over ate a little bit this weekend, but not tragic. I still haven't gotten back into my workouts. Every time I make plans to workout, something gets in my way. I did get some caulking and painting done this weekend, so at least I was moving for part of it.

So I was cooking some stuff we had in the fridge/freezer so that I could clear stuff out before buying new. I made some tuna steaks and scallops for dinner Saturday - yum yum!! And when I put it into my Fitday I was shocked! I knew tuna was low, but it's lower in calories than chicken! So I had a huge 5 ounce piece and it was only 194 calories. So cool! And the scallops were pretty low too, 30 calories per ounce. I just pan seared them with a little olive oil and some Cajun seasoning.

So, congrats to all on the losses this week! Good job to all that maintained! And don't worry about it those that gained, this is a new week! let's make it great!

I hope ya feel better soon Narnia!

Nella, I hear on the something or someone getting in the way of a planned workout, grrrrr! That's been the story of my life for the last 3 weeks.

I did just do a 2 mile WATP w/weights so I feel pretty good about that. Now off t primping and trying to sched a haircut for myself.

 All. :)

I missed weigh in last week (too sick), and now I'm up a tiny bit. UGH! Oh well. Slowly gaining energy back. No exercise for almost 2 wks, so my body is just trying to figure out what exercise is again! :)
Hope you all are having a great week!

I'm up for it Mercy! Who else is going to join us. I'm old and I'm doing them. ;)

Narnia and Mebhealthy, so sorry you are not feeling well. I'd send hugs  but I might catch your bugs. Ah, what the heck:hug::hug::hug:. Hope you're all better soon.

Good to see you up and at it, Diva. You'll soon have all that extra baggage walked away even if you can't get to the gym.

Nella, it's great when you find food that you really like and it's low cal.

Suzie, I'm like you--can't believe the month is over!! How'd that happen? :D

Well, hello people. I kind of took it easy the weekend with the challenges but I did my 5 km walk every day which doesn't always get done on the weekend. So I feel good about that. I'd love to be at goal by Christmas but I'm not making any promises. Been there, done that! So I'm just keeping on plan and hoping something falls off me.

Let's have a great week, Blue Team.

Below is an update on my ds's darling friend. Things are definitely looking better for him and his family. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

Due to Robbie being in a rehabilitation unit, we as a family get to spend 4 hours a day with him, and the rest of the day he is busy with occupational, physical, and speech therapy. Robbie is recovering well.. actually he's recovering extraordinarily well in my personal opinion. He is communicating with the family and nurses although he is still unable to project his voice (due to tract). He has mastered the art of using his hands to signify what he wants/needs/means, but he can also mouth words or use a white board to write down anything.a He knows about all of the support that everybody has shown, and he is truly amazed. He can't wait to get back home, and get out of that hospital.

Robbie will be able to access the internet in due time, thanks to Frank . Frank stopped by yesterday to visit Robbie and surprised him with a new computer. It will not be long before Robbie is online thanking you himself, thanks to Frank.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but Robbie has made it through the toughest part of the battle. As Robbie makes breakthrough progress with his rehab, you all will be informed. There really are no timelimes or guestimates on any medical information, such as traveling back home. As I'm sure you could all respect, brain injuries are very fragile, and each person's recovery is very unique. One thing I can say though is that with each day that passes by, he is one day closer to coming home. He hopes to see you all soon.

Way to go Blue Team!!

Sorry no personals today - gotta get out the door to work shortly.

Tell me about your goal rewards please! When I got to my first major goal, DH told me he'd buy me the lululemon hoodie I'd been lusting over... so guess what my wedding present was? A size 10 lulu hoodie! Before I lost the 25lbs, I nowhere near fitting into their largest size (14 in hoodies) :woohoo: Now I need to set some new goals for the next 20-25lbs. That's my project this week. I need some ideas!

Was planning on going to the gym tonight, but my arms are still crazy ache-y from all the shots I got yesterday! Ouch!

Practice - I made up 5lbs envelopes (12 in all ~ need to lose 60 lbs) and then printed out 12 rewards (small ones - new work out item, 1/2 hr massage, new belt, craft item, mag subscription etc) and let my fiance stuff them. I dont know which ones have what in them. I just know I want to open my next one! I have the envelopes posted on my 3fc blog (link is on the left). Its kinda fun to work towards them! I am working to get into my 15lb gone envelope now!

I am a boob. I posted my loss as 3lb instead of 4. Thanks for paying attention Monte Cristo! WOOT!:carrot: My first time ever as BL of the week. So glad I have you girls to push me!

Ditto what Mercy said! :D

I think once I hit goal my reward is going to be a whole new wardrobe and possibly a boobie job and tummy tuck if we can swing it. I just can't see busting my butt to lose all this weight and then having sagginess goin' on. I wanna look good naked. ;)

OMG it's raining again!!!! grrrrrr So freakin' over rain, y'all just don't know! Anyhoo, Jess made a deal with the guy he gives a ride to everyday that they will trade days driving so I can get a car a few times a week until we can fix mine, so even though it's raining:rain: I'm gonna go get my hair did, workout and do the grocery shopping thing. I think I'm going to cut off a few inches and make it shoulder length for a change. :) I hope I don't freak. LOL!

Have a great day girlies!!!

Nixmom- Congrats!

Sorry, but does that mean we won or red team won last week?

Guys, I'm up 5 lbs! Part of it is my fault, the huge part, but a small part is pre-TOM again, my new birth control pills really plump me up the week before my period. I'm really down about it... busting out of my jeans, barely fitting into my Halloween costume and feeling REALLY uncomfortable in it. SO not looking forward to Halloween now thanks to this... period won't start until Sunday or Monday. The second the period starts I feel less plump :(

btw, I didn't post my weight yesterday, i was too ashamed and down on myself. I'm thisclose to losing my job (I think) and I'm just not feeling it lately. I need to snap out of this though.

Sorry for being so self-centered right now.

i hear ya! i gained a few pounds before and during my period aswell!

i got a little trick for you , in prep for your halloween party.

drink 80oz of water each day starting today until saturday.. and it should help you look slimmer and less bloated by saturday!! also cut down on your salt intake!! reduce or completely cut out bad carbs (like bread pasta etc). that should all help to remove excell water weight that you are carrying

im sorry to hear that you're at risk of losing your job

Sweet! I am going to hold you accountable:D I am having my sister come in on the 12th for a suprise party for my mothers 82nd b-day.

My sister is the one who got me onto Jillian Michaels and dieting. She has lost 65 pounds going from 210 to 145 in a year:D

She has been my main motivation and supporter, and I would like to be in my best shape as I am sure it will be like boot camp for the week that she is in.

p.s. why am I having a brain fart because I can't remember how to spell suprise? It's not supposed to happen at 48, is it?:(

Well I slacked today. I actually got dressed and went to the GYM, walk through the doors, signed in, climb the 2 flights of stairs and when I got in there the two Judgmental Holy Rollers had both Ellipticals tied up so i just left. All I wanted to do was get on one for 30 minutes and then make my hair appt. I wasn't in the mood to make nice today, besides it was pouring and still is pouring rain, so....I waked through the stores to kill time and then got 3 inches cut off my hair. I feel a little naked now...O'well. There's always tomorrow.

Hello gals. I spent most of the day shopping with MIL, SIL and Niece. MIL had birthday money to spend on new clothing and wanted to look for a new carpet for her living room and bedroom. We managed to find a very lovely and flattering pair of black dress pants, a couple of tops and a fleece hoodie. We also found carpet which I'll order for her this week. We had lunch at McDonalds in Walmart and I had a garden salad and just dipped my fork in the dressing. I squeezed out about a tablespoon of dressing in one of those paper ketchup cups and just used that amount. Everyone else had burgers, wraps and fries and soda. When I came home I was ravenous. I was so glad I'd make a pot of vegetable soup this morning before I left for shopping. Did that ever hit the spot with a chunk of corn bread.

Happening, sorry you're having such a rotten week. Things will get better for you.

Diva, you'll probably lose a few ounces with all that hair cut off!!!

Mercy, I forget how to spell words sometimes. It's as if I've never seen that word before in my life. Thank goodness for spell check. Though its really bad when spell check can't figure out what I've spelled.

Congratulations Nixmom, Nella, Narnia and GirlygirlSebas! Doesn't it make you feel good to make it in the stats.

Practice, that's a great idea for rewarding yourself. I haven't done rewards for a long time. Maybe I should set one for myself when I hit 139 pounds.

I'm gone to do one of the challenges that Echo and Mercy have posted. Hope I survive. :D

Practice - I LOVE rewards, but I don't do them very often. Goals for me need to have a reason behind them...like 175 was because I never dreamed I could get below that. Of course, my reward was just dinner out! Then 167 was because I can't remember weighing less than that in at least 8 yrs. My reward was a piece of pilates equipment. My upcoming reward is a new piece of pilates equipment (I LOVE pilates)...I just can't seem to get to that goal weight though (150)! Grrr!
Happening - sorry to hear about your job! Hope you can at least enjoy your costume by the end of the week! I agree 100% with the increased water and the carb-cutting advice. Good luck! :)

Thanks Somni! Steal it! It has been such a long time since I made them (January) that I actually forgot about some stuff. I just got to open my 2nd one and waalaa.... craft scissors I have been dying for!

Tonight is my 2nd body composition thingy at boot camp. Will see what kind of progress I have made on my body fat % and inches. Got a "what for" from trainer about weighing everyday - apparently gotta give that up.. and I will but gonna stay with it only through Sunday (TBL weigh in). It keeps me motivated. But trainer says healthy is better than a scale number... so.... (I am holding steady this week at 198.6 though WOOT!)

Back later to catch up on personals. Hope you all are having a great day!

Doing really well this week. Sciatic is feeling better but I decided to lay off the workouts for one more week to give it time to heal properly. Eating is real good. I am averaging about 1300 cals a day and scale was already down to 176 so I lost that lb I gained.

Nixmom-Congrats on being the BL!! That bootcamp is really paying off. I love your idea about the envelopes.

Nella, Narnia, and GirlygirlSebas- Congrats on your runner up spots. Keep up the hard work!

Thanks for the great reward ideas, ladies!

Morning Girls!

So I made it through class last night... and tonight is the last Thursday night class we will have (a make up class from weeks ago that I am going to take advantage of!) I only weighed in 5lbs down at camp after 2weeks - but they weigh me at night and we ALL know how that goes. Anyway I lost 7 lbs of fat and gained 2 lbs of muscle! First time in many years I was impressed with myself and didnt really care about the scale number. To know my body is really changing is fantastic!

Mary - Thanks! That was probably my moment in the BL spotlight. My weight loss will start to average out I'm sure... 4lb weeks are not expected in my book!

Retired - have fun shopping!

Practice - Get back to it! Dont let one or two days turn into 3 or 4!

K... back to work... check back later.

Okay ladies, I have a brand new goal! I'm going to do the Sun Run in May. It's the biggest 10K in Vancouver - almost 60,000 people ran it last year. I'm going to keep doing my thing at the gym til February, then join one of the training clinics.

Nix - it had been THREE WEEKS since I've been the gym! Bad me! I went tonight though.

Practice - so I showed up for class last night and I was the only one there. One more lady showed up 2 minutes before class was to start, and we decided we could all use a night off. I thought I was off the hook until trainer lady said "you need to go home and do 45 min cardio and 15 abs and text me when you're done". So off I went, and had to force myself to treadmill and workout. But I did it, and was glad I did. Get your butt back to the gym! Dont let 3 weeks turn into 4!!!! Ya hear me!

I did break 1 promise.... to not weigh every day. I found the scale and weighed this morning. 198.2 Made me feel good that I was down a bit, but is now weighing heavy on me that I cheated. Oh well... tomorrow is another day to get right with that issue.

Dont forget to FALL BACK THIS WEEKEND GIRLS! Get yourselfs an extra hour this weekend and do something for you! Gotta go clean, laundry, bills, bank, library and walk the dog. Have a greatweekend!

Looks like things have slowed down here a good bit. :(

Well it looks like I no longer have a car. *sigh* I guess I have no choice but to workout here at home in the mornings and then hit the GYM in the afternoons when Jess gets home, if I am feeling it. It'll be like this until January or Feb sometime, so I can't use not having a car as an excuse. I'll restart and rededicate myself to this come Monday. Not that I am being bad, foodwise I am good to go, but exercise won't happen until then.

I am getting all registered in online school to get my Associates of Science in Psychology this week and will be a done deal by next wed or Thurs! I am so proud of me and so excited! :cb: I think I will do it online and then transfer to a Physical University for my B.S. I may even go all the way and get a masters! How cool would that be????

Anyhoo, everything is going pretty good here. I hope you all have a fantastic Halloween and for my American friends, don't forget to Fall back on the clocks! HUGS all:hug::hug::hug:

Bigmid, hope you're feeling better by now.

Mebhealthy, you'll get to goal if you keep up the good work. I know what you mean though. It seems as if it will never happen.

 Soon2BFitChick. Nice to hear from you.

Mary, so good to hear the sciatic nerve is feeling better. I think it was wise to back away from strenuous exercise until you know for sure you can do them again. You're doing really well considering you can't exercise.

Practice, hope your arms are feeling better. And all the best as you prepare for that Sun Run this spring.

Nixmom, you're really burning rubber with that class of yours. Congratulations on doing that workout at home. That takes discipline.

Hi, Diva. It is quiet in here this week. Too bad about the car but you can workout at home quite well with very little equipment. But it would sure be nice to have a car ready to go when you were. That plan of yours sounds great. When I turned 40 I made a 5 year plan and had my MA at the end of that time. You can do it girl!

Well, girls have a great weekend and as it has been mentioned several times don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night (or at least by dinnertime Sunday, hahahaha).

Mary - Glad to hear your back is doing a little better. Grats on the scale moving down again!

Diva - That sucks about your car. Me and you wil just have to learn to workout at home! We can't afford a gym membership right now, and it's too dark at night to go walking. Grats on the school thing too! DH takes classes online for his BS.

Practice - From someone else who took 3 weeks off from workouts - get back to it!!!! It felt good once I got back to it!

Nixmom - Girl you are killin' it with that boot camp. I lol'd at your trainer making you text her.

Retiredone - I hope you are having a great week!!!

Well, I had 2 good on me's today. 1.) I was wanting more dinner but didn't take another helping. But dang it was so good! My tummy is a little sad, but the scale will like me for it later. 2.) I made myself do 30DS tonight and Wii fit. I really didnt' want to, but I did it anyway and even used heavier weights for most of it.

DH and I have a busy weekend, so I probably won't be on much. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!

Don't worry everyone, like I said, I started back on Thursday. I have a date with the gym tonight and tomorrow as well.

I hope everyone has a great Halloween, and takes it easy on the candy! We don't get trick or treaters (small apartment building) so we have no candy in the house!

Hello people. Well, I blew it today and not on Halloween candy but on more adult treats. I ate cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate peanut butter pie and nachos and cheese. And no walk! Why waste a treat on a Halloween candy when I could have what I had, hahaha. Ah, tomorrow is another day as Scarlet said. But I did lose a pound this week when I weighed in this morning so all is not dismal. Well, nothing is dismal. This is my dessert eating day and the pieces weren't big.

We'll I guess I'll see you all in November. I'll be up bright and early for a nice brisk walk ready to face a new day and new month. Catch you all then.

Morning Blue Team ~

I had a pizza eating binge last night... resulted in a .2 gain for the week. Could have been worse. But I needed a naughty food night after my stellar diet for 3 weeks.

Gonna go post my weight. Happy November. Its another month, another chance starting RIGHT NOW to be on target.... lets be good through Thanksgiving okay?

I am off to take advantage of my extra hour sleep, a day off, and no kids. Will check back later!

Morning girls! Hope everyone had a fun safe halloween. We had a good day, the kids dressed up in the morning and pretty much wore their costumes the whole day. Madison went as Dorothy and Jaxon went as they tin man. We had such nice weather, couldn't have asked for a better night. Grandma and pa watched the kids overnight so the hubby and I could go to a halloween party. We went as Donald and Daisy Duck...the car ride across town was quite interesting. Anyways the house is quiet this morning, but I'm up and housework is started. This afternoon I'm taking Madison to see the High School perform the Wizard of Oz. It's suppose to be really good.

Well I best get back to my housework.... Everyone have a great day.

Good morning everyone! Hope you remembered to change your clocks! I am not thrilled to be up before 8am on a Sunday (my "sleep-in" day) but that just means I have more time to get things done today.

I need a real boost in my weight loss right now, and some serious accountability, so I have a challenge I want to throw down. 30 days in November = 30 days of 30+mins of exercise. Take a half-hour walk, going to the gym, go swimming, whatever you need to do to get at least 30minutes of exercise every day in November! Who's with me?

Hi everyone, so sorry I am behind on all the posts. I was sick all week with the flu. I am feeling more like myself now so it's time to get moving again. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day and I have no idea what to expect. I might end up taking a freebie week.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween.

Retire done- Thanks I am starting to feel better but my cough is hanging on for dear life.

Well just posted my weight and I am down 2.8lbs for the week, so I am pretty happy with that. That takes me to 19.4 for the challange so far.

Well I am at work right now so I better go and do some. Have a great day everyone.

Thanks!! Congrats on your two fine achievements. It is really hard to learn to say "No" to yourself after years of saying yes and vice versa. I am very proud of you for doing both!!:carrot:

Well at least you did it on your cheat day! I am envious of you when I was doing BFL it included one cheat day a week and that would always throw me off for at least 3 days. Congrats on your 1 lb loss!:carrot:

I'm with you. I started back to working out today. Did a 40 min hiit on the treadmill. My friend Jackie is back from vacation today. So we will definitely be working out during the week. But I promise to do it solo on the weekends.

Grrr!! Our gym is 24-hours; after the receptionist goes home, our barcode cards get us into the building. Well ours didn't WORK tonight! I was really looking forward to a gym workout.

Managed to convince DH that we shouldn't just write off the workout today, so we went out for a half-hour walk. At least that's something!

Hi, everyone. Finally got DH back to work after a week at home with a bad back and am trying to restore order to the house and my routine -- including diet & exercise. I'm taking a freebie this week as I can't face the scale this morning having had a bad, bad week.

I'm too far behind on housework and posts to catch up on both so, unfortunately, I'm off to begin a day of cleaning. It'll definitely help with burning calories and keeping my mind off of food!

to make it interesting i added a little mini challenge to the food and exercise diary
Allocate yourself a smilie of your choice when you've been on plan food wise whether its staying within your calorie limit or staying on your diet plan.

and allocate yourself another smilie for when you have done exercise for the day.

See if you can obtain at least 12 smilies (points) by the end of the week!
