I just got New Rules of Lifting For Women and it says that you should weight train every muscle group 3 times a week, but BFL says doing alternatate upper and lower body days is best - so now I'm not sure which is best! Any advice???

There are definitely different philosophies in weight training and honestly, I'm not sure you can say one is better than another, just that they are different. If I was you, I'd continue with BFL then after you've finished the 12 weeks, your body will definitely need something new so I'd say go for NRWL.

Cheers Nelie - I was thinking that I would do that. When doing the BFL weight lifting, do you have to stick completely to the pyramid structure of 12,10,8,6, 12 reps for the first exercise and 12 reps of the second one, or can you do more of the second one? For example, at the moment for quads, I'm doing squats as the first exercise and leg press as the second, but I feel like 12 reps of the leg press maybe isn't enough?

Maybe you need more weight for the leg press? I also can't remember but I'd say that leg press and squat are very similar, wouldn't you want something a bit different (possibly lunge?)? (I haven't done a BFL style workout in a couple years so I can't remember)
