Default Inspired..
I have been a lurker for a few weeks now and signed in within the last few days. I must say, just looking around, I am very inspired by those who have lost a great deal of weight. I think it was Heather I saw that has lost 148 lbs. ... and all I have to say is WOW!! Great job! And here I was feeling a little defeated with wanting to drop 50 lbs.


I'm a 40 year old female, 5'7", 200 lbs. and wear a size 14. For a chubby one, most are shocked my weight is that high, but it is... And I know what I have to do to get the weight off... just doesn't make it easier.

Anyway, I ordered the Fat Smash book (which should arrive from Amazon in the next day or two). I have an exercise bike that I cleared all the laundry off of and ordered The Wave by The Firm... so by summer of next year, I'd like to be at my 150 lb. goal and get my belly button pierced.

Well... looking forward to hanging out here with everyone.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are lots of people here with more to lose and lots with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.


So welcome aboard - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

I'm a fellow Southern Marylander here (small world)

And thanks to you 3 for the welcoming responses.. Michelle, you look fantastic... (I was just looking at your before/after photos)... incredible. You look like a totally different person!

I was looking at your pictures and very much so... The only difference in our shape is in your beginning photo, I carry less down bottom and way more in my arms and legs.

You've done extremely well... perhaps 6 months from now I can be around the 130 mark. Totally inspired... like I said!

I'm new too and can concur with your goals. Not sure if I could manage the belly button piercing though - too much of a coward!!

Gotta love Southern Maryland... I'm in Calvert County... I just love that I am so close to the water ...however there isnt much to do around here
